*the komodo sank its teeth deep and injected venom, pouring its corruption into Iden, complete with blood destroying agent. Faster than an arterial bleed, it would start breaking his blood down. While it did this, Envy's neck burned in the same plac eIden was harming his pet, but he ignored it.*
Great... curse...
*He murmured the Daimonion's eigth circle and concerntrated. Depending on his strength, woudl depend on what was cursed and how long it would affect Iden for. Baali rarely had to make eye contact to be devestating*

While Iden dug the blade into the reptile's neck, it would begin to shift. Shards of daemonic metal began to twist and writhe into the wound, spreading like a blight upon the creature. It would be an excruciating experience for the reptile, and thus for Envy, by extension. The metal seethed and raged with a complete and harsh cold throughout the creature's neck, ripping into its senses and tearing them asunder. With Iden pulling the weapon closer and closer to his chest, the reptile's neck would be growing smaller and smaller. Soon he'd cleave clean through, leaving the beast a decapitated corpse. That'd buy him some time alone with its master, certainly.

*it didnt matter. It had bought Envy the time he needed. He waved an arm dismissing the creature.. and let the weight of the curse fall on Iden. True, it hadnt been as much time as he had hoped, but he knew he;d gathered enough dark will behind this to make it last a good week.
He targetted IDen;s accuracy, reducing it to zero. Without Valeran, he wouldnt be able to hit s**t, with it... he;d shoot like a normal person at best, strike like one too. That evened the field somewhat. With his pet desummoned, Envy regrew his arm and circled Iden, his own polearm lowered at his side, ready for combat*
Foolish boy... attacking on your own, blindly running in... are you truly so keen to die?

When the weight was removed from Iden, he rolled backwards, flipping over his head and onto his feet. The lance was held in both hands, ready for combat.
Arrogant geezer. Throwing words, wasting breath, underestimating your foe...why weren't you buried ages ago?
As he countered Envy's insults with his own, Iden began to stalk in for another go. He could feel the weight of something strange upon him. What it was, exactly, was unknown to him. Despite this, he still readied to strike.

Because Im cursed to keep hopping bodies. I DID tell you your clan was the only one worthy of killing us... and the only clan capable. Shame you wont complete the job, eh?
*There was an extra weight behind those words this time. Psychomachia. It didnt matter if Iden fought it, it didnt matter if he could reason around the words, they called to and pulle don his beast, DEMANDING it take the surface, DEMANDING he frenzy. As he did it, Envy jabbed with his spear, swiftly spinning the gaft in after the feint*

Iden gritted his teeth, clenching off the curse that rose in his throat. When the thrust came, Iden sidestepped, and stabbed with his own spear. The strike missed completely, as the haft of Envy's weapon slapped Iden across the face, staggering him back several steps. To cover his sudden retreat, Iden whipped the lance around by the end of the haft, swinging in a wide arc to discourage Envy from following up too quickly with another hammerblow.

*The Syn laughed and didnt pursue*
Oops... missed me childe... try again. You cant make things much worse after all, can you? Dead, alive, its all the same. Your family is ostracised, your actions did it, you'll never find peace. Is it really worth continuing?
*Again, calling to the beast, demanding its presence, demanding frenzy. Envy held his spear across his body, shifting lightly on his massive horned feet, waiting for a chance to duck and smash his awesomely powerful tail into Iden*

Iden's head turned, defiant to the words being spoken. He was a hairs breadth from going apeshit crazy, but he forced himself to maintain good sense.
With a quick, darting lunge, Iden thrust inwards. But rather than slam home a strike, Iden imbedded the tip of the spear into the ground, and vaulted skywards. He twisted through, lashing at Envy with repeated swings meant to flay across the Syn's back.

*No longer fearing Iden's Valeran, Envy again ducked and allowed his spinal plates to knit together, his mighty tail flicking around like a club to smash Iden from the air.
Shoudl he succeed and knock Iden to the floor, he'd stab with his blade, aiming for the softest spot of Iden he could find*
Admit it. You have failed. No matte rthe outcome here... you LOSE DeSeer. And you wont even be able to go crying to mummy...
*Envy wouldnt let up on his psychomachia until he got what eh wanted*

The hammerblow slammed Iden to the ground. He could feel ribs break from the impact, as he thudded to the floor hard. He gritted his teeth, biting back the pain as he twisted, rolling away from the blade that would otherwise have gutted him. With a sharp upward swing, Iden slashed at the air in front of Envy...then the daemon blade shattered. He'd done it. Envy could be satisfied in that he had driven Iden to the edge of mindless, blood thirsting instinctual rage.
The problem was, he was in arms reach. And while Iden couldn't hit a damn thing with a single strike, he wasn't going to rely on anything less than overwhelming annihilation. The shards of Okra whirled about his form, making the same seething barrier of metal that he had used in the past. Arcane energies surged about him, hurling brilliant flashing sparks of light as they twisted about his form, and began to spread. Then, Iden reared back, and slammed his hands into the ground.
The effect was raw devastation, as the field of dark flames erupted in a radial blast, which surged from the ground all about them. Thunderous blasts of eldritch force would leech strength and sear flesh with a cold, numbing burn. Iden did not need to have any accuracy, not when the attack encompassed so large an area that Envy could not possibly escape.

*envy was suprised - he had assumed the Daemon only worked for Iden when he wasin control, commanding it. proof he had never dealt with he Daemon's in person. He belched a rapid breath of heat at Iden, but it was too little too late. Thrown backwards and torn to pieces by the shards, Envy found himself going from his dominant position in the fight... to barely moving on the floor, his body in tatters. Hot blodo spilled from him all over the place, but it no longer burned, and he howled with pain as he trie dto move, to get up, to heal. Okra did not allow for such to happen quickly however and the large Syn was effectively as a turtle on its back.
Painfully, he forced himself ono his side, and staggered to his feet, blood pouring off him. And yet he laughed*
Poor... kid... destruction on legs... so utterly lost... I dont CARE if I die, its about damn... time... but you... you're going ot have to LIVE after this... heh heh.. heh.. hahahha....

Iden held out his hand, and from it, tethers of brilliant force lashed out. Accuracy or no accuracy, the end result would be the same. Envy's limbs would be bound, and he would be dragged to face Iden.
The young DeSeer's amber eyes remained steadfastly fixed upon his chosen prey. There was a hunger there, an insatiable craving.
He had no words for the crowing Syn. The sudden flaring of violence inside Envy's mind would be words enough to define what was raging in Iden's heart and mind right now. He was tearing free all he could, using the gifts of O-Kuni to rend every scrap of knowledge he could out of Envy's head. It would not be a pleasant experience. The pain would be something far and above what Iden had previously shown aptitude for causing in the fight, which suited him just fine.

*The Baali screamed in agony, writhing and wrenching against that which bound him despite his wounds, trying and failing to keep Iden out of his head. Baali jealously guarded their secrets, and pacts with the underworld, at the best of times and this was Syn.
Yet he could not, and his screams were filled with anger as well as agony, trembling passing down his bloody joints as the pain overcame all else. He'd probably have begged for Iden to stop, to just end him, but the pain was too much to focus enough for words.*

There was a strange satisfaction in the way Iden regarded Envy. As the psychic inquisition drew to its final stages, he ran his blood-soaked finger over the Syn's forehead, etching in blood a small sigil. This emblem grew as he added the details necessary, his finger guided by the arcane knowledge O-Kuni had to offer. It was a seal, of sorts, meant to bind the Syn to the host body. That way, when Iden reared back, and plunged his fangs into Envy's throat, to leech from him all the vitae he could, he would not risk infecting himself with what he was trying so hard to exterminate.

*Envy jerked one final time, then sighed softly as Iden's fangs found purchase. He closed his eyes and went limp in his bonds, willing his blood towards his neck*
Finally...
*And then he noted it. Iden's arm. Only this close to death did he see what was what. And he started to laugh once more. He laughed and laughed as his life drained away, amused and relieved*
It's not over... it'll NEVER be over.... heh heh...
