Shimmerpelt sat up and began to wash. She looked at Rainkit Silverkit and Shallowkit sleeping. "They're getting so big! They're almost old enough to be apprenticed" she thought.
(This was her first litter of kits.)

Mosspelt saw the despitation in her friends eyes, and worry over came her,"I don't know it they are your real clan mates..." Mosspelt sighed and moved so that she was laying down beside Snowystream,"I just hope that whatever your origin, you stay with us... Please?"Mosspelt looked at Snowystream, the wanted answer clear in her eyes.
((I would like to see if Rainkit would be interested in being my apprentice 3nodding ))

Shallowkit woke to see her leader away from all the other cats, and ran over to talk with him. "Moonstar, did I really do anything wrong? Is that why I haven't been made an apprentice yet? Did I hurt someone? I'm sorry Moonstar!" The young kit lay down at his feet and began sniffling, her saddness obvious to the most oblivious of cats.

"Rainkit?" Mosspelt's eyes were clear, no trace of emotion was shown,"Yes, I am indeed concidering Rainkit to become my apprentice, she would be a fine medicine cat." She smiled at her friend,"I can't tell you how glad I am that you would remain with me in Waterclan. It's good to have such a friend." Mosspelt got up and looked out the den entrence, and when she didn't see Moonstar approaching, (rather with a distressed kit at his feet) she settled down and said,"Why don't we turn in for the night, I'll have to talk to Moonstar about Rainkit later?" She then tucked her tail, closed her eyes, and fell into a benevolent sleep.

I think I get it now.Did someone ask me about being a mentor for a kit? Because I don't remember if anyone did but I think someone did.
"OK."Snowystream yawned."She would be a good medicine cat.Maybe if she was trained as a warrior first it would help her when sshe got older.What do you think."Snowystream asked Mosspelt before she dosed off.

She led them into the nursery for the night.

Snowystream walked up to Moonstar."Moonstar I was wondering if I could be Shallowkit's mentor.Shimmerpelt said there getting really big and they ought to be apprentices soon."Snowystream gazed at her leader he had been very uptight lately."Is something wrong?"

Shallowkit jumped when she heard her mother calling,"Do I have to go to bed now?" She had been comforted by Moonstar and told that everything would be alright. When she saw her mother's soft but stern look she quickly followed her into the den,"Goodnight Snowystream! Goodnight Moonstar! Goodnight Mosspelt!!" She purred, just before she vanished into the warmth of the den.
