Mitsutada smiled at the display of affection. Nothing was ever over the top with Kuri yet each little thing meant so much. It made Mitsutada honored to be Kuri's partner and now lifemate. When Kuri mentioned cake he chuckled a bit. "Hm.. carrot cake, chocolate cake, or even a brownie cake... You need to be more specific, Kuri-chan." He smiled and leaned in closer to kiss the other's cheek.

Masamune felt bad for cause Kojuro more pain but he felt the apology had made up for it. He rarely gave them and even if they ended up sounding half-hearted sometimes, the truth was they weren't. When he was given permission to check the other wounds, Masamune moved to sit in front of Kojuro and began to inspect the other. The wounds here weren't as bad in the sense there was no infection trying to set in. "Before sunsets tonight I will reclean the ones on your back, Kojuro." He looked at him in the eye, a bit of a frown resting on his face. "They're starting to get infected, 'you see'?" He moved once again and started to bandage Kojuro back up with fresh bandages. He was silent the whole time.

Mitsutada nodded. "Let's see what needs to be used up first and make the decision on that then." He smiled and stepped away from Kuri to go rummage through the vegetables. He judged the two tyoes and opted to go with the zuccini spice cake. He began to hum as he gathered the other items needed. "Kuri-chan, can you get a mixing bowl?"

"No man of mine will ever be forgotten or left behind if I can help it." Masamune spoke. Even if Kojuro was dead he would have still sought the body to give his right eye a proper burial in the land they both called home. He sighed and looked at Kojuro. "...I am just glad you returned to us... to me, alive."

Mitsutada thought for a moment. "If you'd like you can grease the baking pan?" He walked past Kuri with the ingredients and took a moment to gently pat his bum, chuckling. "Then you can help me mix, okay?" He smiled warmly at his partner, his overall expression was simply: happiness.

Masamune honestly was glad for right now he didn't have to worry about Kojuro trying to kill himself. He knew he had to worry about that when Kojuro was able to hold his swords without wincing from the pain. Though he hoped Kojuro knew by now not to kill himself offer the simple stuff. If he truly betrayed Masamune, then yes, he probably should. But even then Masamune had a feeling he'd find some reason to forgive his right eye. They had been through so much together from the day they met. Of course they weren't exactly great friends from the beginning. Bontemaru at the time being a hot head and purposely acting out due to his mother shaming and ignoring him, thus favoring his younger brother. Kojuro being younger and set in his own ways. Eventually they formed an unbreakable bond. Many had tried to break it - Matsunaga and Hanbe to name a few. Yet they never succeeded. "Hm.." He didn't say much and simply got up to go wash his hands and get rid of the dirty bandages.

Mitsutada blushed a bit when Kuri patted him back. That he did not expect from the other sword which caused him t o chuckle a bit. "We should make enough for Masamune-sama and Kojuro too." He set about to measuring the items needed, eventually turning to Kuri. "Do you want to pour or mix?"

Masamune returned and quietly sat down beside Kojuro. He studied the older man for a moment realizing he wasn't asleep like he first thought. "So what did you think of my claws?" He smirked, looking proud to own such handsome and talented swords.

Mitsutada nodded. "Alright!" He beamed before switching places with Kuri. He explained to Kuri how much to pour of what and in what order, mixing it in the process. Once they were finished with the cake batter, Mitsutada held the bowl out a bit towards Kuri. "Together?" He smiled at his partner, suggesting the two of them pour the batter into the baking pan together.

Masamune agreed with Kojuro with a firm nod. "Yeah... Great claws." He smirked. "Is there anything you wish to know about what happened in Oshu during your absence?" He looked down at the other. A lot had happened, mostly on the political front but he was sure Kojuro was curious to know.

Mitsutada was being silly but he honestly wanted to be able to say they made it together. What better way than by sharing the steps needed for completion? He helped Kuri pour the batter, scraping the inside of the bowl to make sure it all got in the pan. Eventually they got it in the oven and Mitsutada set an hourglass down. "Alright, we have some time to kill... what would you like to do, Kuri-chan?" He smiled.

What could be said? Masamune thought on it before speaking. "Heh.... Well aside from my claws awakening, we've gotten some new recruits. You might see them here or there. They keep to themselves though mostly. Some are very wise and others are more nurturing. Still - they're good additions to the gang." He ran his fingers through his hair, momentarily pushing his bangs back away of his face although they fell right back down when the fingers were removed. He was trying to think of what else was important. "Obviously the trade route the officials wanted wasn't established. That's the whole reason you were kidnapped, at least it is tied into that. They pushed and fought for it but I'm not trading with those greedy bastards. Oshu would be under their thumb in no time if we give them an inch. So long as I draw breath it's not going to happen. Oshu is mine and anyone is going to have to pry it from my bloodied cold dead hands." He growled a bit, some static beginning to build around his body. He still obviously was very sore on the whole subject. Oshu had to rebuild in multiple places. While the castle was attacked, Masamune found out that the villages were too. Troops had been sent out over the past year to stop "riots" and retain the peace. Yet in the past few months it was out of control and Masamune lost a lot of great men. "I'll never forgive them, Kojuro. Ever. For generations - they will always be an enemy of the Date clan."

"If the swordsmith is busy I don't wish to bother him... we should request an appointment to meet up with him. Our request is kinda... unusual Kuri-chan." He chuckled a bit. "Replicas are common, yes, but with the specific details and amount of swords needed, it's not something we can just breeze through. Masamune-sama deserves the best." He smiled brightly, always and forever a fanboy of Masamune's. He paused and tilted his head. "Hm... So either we gather ingredients for dinner or maybe I can style your hair?" He grew fond of styling the other's hair. It was simply so much fun to play with though one of these days he was going to have to hold Kuri down and thoroughly condition that mop of his. He knew it wasn't Kuri's thing to be 'stylish' or 'well groomed' but it was Mitsutada's and if Kuri was going to forever now be in the care of Mitsutada... oh goodness, he would have to get used to it once in awhile.

Masamune's rage was building by the second but seemed to be diminished upon the talk of Sanada Yukimura. His pupils dilated as he calmed and he looked over at Kojuro with almost rapid attention. "Ahn..? Yeah... Sanada Yukimura brought a swordsmith from Kai. Ookurikara and Shokudaikiri Mitsutada requested it, 'you see'?" He thought on Ieyasu and shook his head. "Haven't really seen much of Ieyasu. I am guessing he's too busy spreading his word of 'bonds'. Or dealing with his crazy ex." The crazy ex was Ishida Mitsunari. Masamune had no idea how accurate the "ex" statement was. He just referred to the fox of Mt.Sawa as such due to the other's odd and morbid obsession over Ieyasu. The man was a crazed lunatic but Kojuro had taught Masamune the other was lost to his madness. He had nothing going for him and once he achieved his goal Mitsunari would only fall into darkness.
