 Kamil Terrace ________________________Kamil was wandering the hallways because he was thinking of finding one of his friends. The day had been somewhat slow since most of his friends were working on homework or were busy with something. He thought that maybe he would pay a visit to the potions professor who he had only met once to see how she was doing, but he ended up getting distracted by the school pool and taking a swim.
With his hair still dripping wet, Kamil walked through the hallways to go grab himself a drink after his swim. As he reached the vending machine, he saw a girl there. He wasn't sure if she was confused or not. He walked over to her and grinned. "You need an example on how to work this vending machine?" he laughed as he approached her.

 "If I act like everyone else..."Julia jumped at the sudden voice behind her, quickly turning around and facing him. Because of her rabbit nature, she couldn't help but be a little skittish. Looking at him, her lips struggled to form the words her mind couldn't think of. Finally, she managed to say something.
"S-Sorry!" she apologized, bowing before him with her hands in front of her. Only one person had ever approached her so casually, Chiori. Looking back up at him, his spontaneous grin was something like hers, but all together different at the same time. "...will you accept me?"

Kamil Terrace ________________________Kamil blinked. She seemed a little... jumpy. But then again this wasn't the first time Kamil scared someone by abruptly appearing. In fact, the last person he scared almost fell out of a tree...
"Sorry. I didn't mean to scare you like that. You just seemed kind of confused. Here, I'll show you how the vending machine works in case you don't know." Kamil said to her as he rummaged through his pockets for some money.
Managing to find some, he glanced at the vending machine. "Man, there are so many to choose from. I want them all. Well, I guess I'll go with some iced tea."
After getting his iced tea, he turned to Julia and grinned. "Right! It's easy. Your probably could have figured it out if I didn't show you anyways, but it's great to know if you're doing it right the first time. I ended up picking the wrong choice when I first used one of these."

"If I act like everyone else..."Julia watched intently as he operated the machine, trying to remember what he had done in order to buy something from it next time when she had the money. Looking back at the boy, a warm smile formed on her lips as she spoke to him.
"Right, th-thank you..." she replied, stuttering only slightly this time. She quickly thought about how people generally met and decided to start out by asking his name. "I'm Julia... You?" she asked, figuring she ought to introduce herself first. Spotting his wet hair dripping, she blinked at it, wondering if it was raining suddenly. The weather seemed awfully nice when she arrived that morning... "...will you accept me?"

Kamil Terrace ________________________"Oh yeah. That's right. I keep forgetting about introductions. Even in the ocean, I had trouble with that kind of thing too. I'm Kamil. Nice to meet you Julia." Kamil answered.
Kamil would have smacked her with his tail since it was a merfolk custom to bump tails when meeting each other, but he remembered he didn't have a tail at the moment and they weren't in the ocean. He awkwardly held out a hand towards her. The last time he tried to shake hands with someone, he was ignored, but if he doesn't practice, he'll never understand the way of the handshake.

 Ruby CoroneShe held onto the knob of the music door for a few minutes.... just standing there.
Ruby glanced around and saw Kamil. She smiled.
"Hey Kamil, What are you doing?" Ruby asked and looked at what was in his hand.... iced tea? She laughed and said,
"You know, iced tea from a vending machine isn't going to be very nice...... But, it doesn't matter I guess." Ruby walked over to him and saw he was with a girl. Ruby smiled at her.
"Hey there! I've never seen you in the school before.... are you new? I'm Ruby!" She said, holding out her hand to her.

"If I act like everyone else..."
She smiled, glad to have made a least a single friend in this academy. And he was the first person she had met! It was somewhat of an achievement for her.
"It's nice to meet you as well" she said a bit more wholeheartedly, her spirits having risen since meeting him. Looking at the hand he offered her, she looked at it for a moment before realizing some people greeted one another with a "handshake," as it seemed to be called. She gingerly and somewhat hesitantly took his hand before bringing it up and down for a shake.
Hearing him mention the ocean, Julia figured he had been swimming somewhere. An ocean? No, the academy was too far inland to be anywhere near an ocean. Perhaps a lake or a swimming pool... The school had to have had a swimming pool. She would have to avoid it if there was... Rabbits generally did not swim, and so she actually held quite a fear for it.
Seeing the other person suddenly appear, Julia looked over at her, a bit surprised. She hesitated at her hand that she had offered before letting go of Kamil's with a light smile, then using her hand to shake the other girl's."Oh, hello. I'm Julia..." she said rather more casually than she thought she could.
"...will you accept me?"

Kamil Terrace ________________________Kamil was overjoyed. She shook his hand! So he was getting better at handshaking-- not that it looked that hard anyways. He noticed that she had taken his hand a little awkwardly. Maybe he needed to work a little more so it wouldn't be awkward. But Julia seemed to be less tense fortunately.
Suddenly Ruby came along. Kamil smiled at the sight of his friend. "Hey Ruby. What have you been up to all day? Finished all your homework?"
Kamil couldn't help note the way Ruby held out her hand. It had to be with confidence and fast. So he just had to just stick it out in front of him. He had to remember that for sure.
He turned back to Julia. "So, are you a new student? I haven't seen you around the school. But then again, I've only been here for a week so I probably don't know that many people here."

Ruby CoroneHer smile left the building.... Julia.....
"Julia.... That's...... A lovely name." Ruby said and gulped. Julia......
She shook her head and smiled at Julia.
"Sorry, just went to LaLaLand for a second there! It's nice to meet you!" Ruby said happily and dug into her bag for a lollypop. She found a perfect strawberry lollypop and handed it to her. This was her little way of saying, "Want be my friend?"Ruby turned to Kamil and smiled.
"Well, I'm on my way to play the piano! You guys wanna drop by later? I can play you a song!" Ruby said happily. It'd been so long since she'd played for people. Back at home, her parents would usually listen to her....

"If I act like everyone else..."Julia looked over at Kamil as he started a conversation with Ruby, carefully studying the two of them quite meticulously as they successfully held a conversation with one another. It was as if they were some strange phenomenon to her, which they might as well be.
Hearing the conversation suddenly be directed towards her, she looked up at Kamil, almost not catching what he had said.
"Oh, yes... I just arrived here this morning." After having heard his last statement, she couldn't help but be surprised. "Really? You seem as though you would know everyone..." she burst out, really without thinking about it. Julia quickly thought of it as the wrong thing to say, assuming people were always this friendly. She flashed him somewhat of an apologetic smile. He just reminded her too much of Chiori... Ruby did as well. It was a bit painful, but she enjoyed their company very much, wanting to cherish it.
Seeing the lollipop Ruby had offered her, she took it gratefully and laughed lightly at the sight of it. It was like being a child over again. She nodded at her request, wanting to see them again very soon. Besides, she had never heard a piano played in person before. "...will you accept me?"

Kamil Terrace ________________________Knew everyone? That was too much of an exaggeration. It made Kamil laugh a little. "Maybe it's just luck since Ruby happened to be passing by at the time." Kamil remarked.
The piano? Asides from singing and a few aquatic instruments that just sounded... bubbly, Kamil never heard a real instrument in the surface world yet, if he counted out elevator music and music played at stores. He had yet to hear something live. He was suddenly really excited. "You can play the piano!? Then why are we still here? Let's go! I want to hear it!" Kamil cried out as he started to hurry ahead. He glanced at Julia. "You should come along too, Julia! It's better when there's a lot more people! That way Ruby will have more than just me applauding!"

"If I act like everyone else..."Julia was caught off-guard by the sudden acceleration of speech and movements, her mouth unable to keep up with the words she was thinking of so quickly. She didn't even know where the music room was, let alone how to get to it. But she really wanted to be with them to hear the music.
"M-Me?" she pointed at herself as if she was unsure of who he was talking to. Knowing that he of course was talking to her, she started walking very briskly to catch up with him, knowing if she got lost, she would basically be stranded in the middle of the academy."Okay!" Julia replied enthusiastically with a hint of determination in her voice. "...will you accept me?"

Ruby CoroneRuby laughed. Kamil seemed a little excited to hear Ruby playing her piano. Wait a minute, had Kamil ever heard a piano before? No wonder he's so excited! Ruby smiled and turned to Julia.
"Hey Julia, come on! It'll be fun!" Ruby said, grabbing her hand and skipping down the hall to the music room. Had Julia ever heard a piano? Probably. Well, Ruby already knew what song she was playing. It was one that would touch their hearts. She hoped

Bite someone? Was that something vampires did? Kamil was dashing through the hallways. He was probably slowing Ruby down since he didn't have that much stamina being a merman that never had to use his lungs for extensive exercise before. But he tried to run as quickly as he could without stopping.
He was out of breath when he reached the physics classroom. "This... is the physics classroom." Kamil wheezed as he leaned on the wall beside the door.

"If I act like everyone else..."Julia dashed through the hallway, trying her best to stay next to both Kamil and Ruby, but everyone seemed to be going at different speeds. It didn't matter, though, as long as they found some blood to quench Ruby. Almost tripping, Julia quickly caught herself before she stumbled, slowing down only momentarily before regaining her place alongside Kamil and Ruby.
She didn't know why she was there or what she could even do, however. There was probably little she could do for Ruby, but she could protect Kamil if Ruby was to attack. But biting, she was reminded, lead to becoming a vampire, didn't it? Julia absolutely would not let any of her new friends simply become a vampire.
"...will you accept me?"
