::This time, the Omanyte held back, but Jasmine could see the look on that shelled creature's face... it was targetting the Gligar now, she had no love for Lindbergh's tactics, but she certainly wasn't about to let her be killed::
::Not again, as she tried to pull herself, as she tried to get up, what she had in mind, it was going to take a moment or two for her to gather her strength...::
::That left Lindbergh and Claudandas... the Omanyte seemed to have picked a solid defense this time, there wasn't much they could do when it was that hunkered down...::
::Lindbergh almost looked lazy as her stinger suddenly flipped, sending a barb firing down at the creature, what perhaps she hadn't cottoned on, was when Claudandas suddenly leapt from the trees to the Gligar, taking the gliding pokémon and throwing her off course as she flung another coin out of the sky at the Omanyte shell!::
[Arr-the- What are you doing?!]
[You need to dodge!] ::He commanded, yanking the Gligar to the side, if the Omanyte would find any target, at least it would only be him!::

Heading deeper into the cavern Victoria would abruptly hear the clicking of gears, the sound of ticking growing louder as he walked into an oddly bright section of the cavern. On her left she would see exposed gears turning and stalling just beyond the rock wall, and a little father ahead would be another, yet smaller clock face. To the right of the child would be the source of the light, two large metal prongs similar to lightning rods which coursed with electricity; and between them was a Magnemite, the electrical current blasting into one side of it's magnets and out the other.
The Pokemon's solitary eye watched the child in absolute silence.

Though the Omanyte is a very adamant pokemon as it turned it's attention upwards even as the two tried to give such a weak attack. The poison still coursing through was doing it's job well, but he wasn't willing to simply surrender ....as the pokemon turns it's attention upwards.
It's bubblebeam would be aimed at the Gligar this time .....as it would seem that the cat was trying to keep the pokemon safe.
A smirk crosses his features at that thought. That was the heart of their group, and he was going to rip that heart to shreds if he could.

Fable growled again, though this time not loud enough to be an attack. It was a sound of irritation rather then ferocity. Setting his feet against the ground, the Charmander grabbed for the end of his tail. He was going to have to do something stupid...really, and truly stupid. Especially for one of his kind.
The flame at the tip of a Charmander's tail was the source of their life, extinguishing that was akin to ripping their heart out...and he was about to use it to defend himself.
Pulling his tail forward, Fable directed the torch like tip toward the Durant's mouth. He was going to get a mouth full of fire before he'd get a mouth full of him!

Finally light as the first and only pokemon she had seen so far came into view. A Magnemite, she could help her excitement, because such a pokemon had few weakness and lots of strengths. A good addition to her team, but there was only one problem ..such a pokemon would be a great addition to her team but with the pokemon she had ...almost impossible to capture. As she thought of tackle and it's lack of variation of types of attacks. Metal or electric, a strong pokemon, but one that would be ill suited for her in the long run as she thought about it.
She sighed lightly as she would continue forward. She would find another pokemon to add to her group, but this one she would leave. Besides, it seemed that it had a purpose, and she wasn't going to stop it. With the strangeness of these caves ....knowing her luck ...interfering with the magnemite might being the entire thing crashing around her head or shifting the time and space of this place.
Thus, she continued onwards ...ignoring the Magnemite and simply enjoying the light that it gave. Aella actually seemed a bit happier at it ....as she runs up and down the girl's body as she actually scampers to her head. The ceiling that had felt so close in the darkness was miles above their head and the cavern walls ...she was very glad she had reached for it...as she looks at the distances from one side to another.
Victoria would take a future note to ask about this place. Maybe it was a work base that she could explore more deeply later.

::Claudandas gritted fangs, looking back down earthwards... that Omanyte had a look in its eye he didn't like one bit...:: [Can't you fly any faster?]
[I don't fly, I glide!]
::The Omanyte had turned to keep an eyes on them, but while it had certainly was intent on taking out the Gligar, Jasmine had enough time, she'd gotten herself up, she'd put aside her crutch just now... and was pulling herself along by the trees... this was far too close to call... she saw her take aim...::
::And then she flung herself, shoulder first, effectively enough to simply smack the Omanyte's shell, looking to send its aim off from Lindbergh!::
::Looking down below, Claudandas saw the girl certainly had the right idea... but he looked down to the Gligar:: [Faster!]
[Easier for you to say!] ::Lindbergh hissed and heading onward, swerving round, trying to fly under...::
::When Claudandas suddnly leapt, tossing the bat to one side further away from the attack while he leapt to another branch, hopefully the momentum was enough to push Lindbergh out further out of range!::
[I hate you both!]

It would work as the Durant would pull up short. The pokemon wasn't going to bite fire ...as he stops his Vice Grip inches from the pokemon's tail and his eyes red glared dangerously. It was like a lion being back by fire, though the Durant back away it wasn't done yet ...as those eyes continue to lock on the flame. Fire was dangerous to the steel type, but if he attack and destroyed that flame ...it would kill the Charmander.
Thus was the problem, destroy him ....burn himself. It was fear that stop him and fear that pissed the Durant out further as he scampers away from the Charmander.
He would find another way to strike as he hunkers down on the defensive.

(Wow on that end)
The Omanyte's move would fail thanks to the two interferences. As the bubbles that had been right on target would miss only be a hair breathe as the two manages to push the pokemon's aim off ...and the cat manages to save gligar from the ricochet that occurred as the water bounces off of the trees.
It was that simple bit that saved his life, but the Omanyte wasn't done. It was suffering badly from the poison, but it wasn't going to surrender just yet as it turns again.
Tired of the girl's interferences he would aim again ....though an idea in his head as he fired at Jasmine and missed as the water would hit the wood behind her and bend and turn and twist. Each bit of water becoming a net that threaten to hit no one, but at the same time that leaping and jumping stream threaten to hit anyone that got into it's range.
This was the Omanyte's way of evening up the odds as he counter attacked with Bubblebeam one more
((So written, lowest roll takes a hit if no one out rolls Omanyte's counter-attack)

Fable released his tail, allowing it to whip back behind him. That had been close, perhaps a little too close; but Raven had once told him, if one wanted to be strong, sometimes they had to put their very life on the line. It had been close, but the risk of the attack had proven to be worth it. Still, even as the Durant retreated the Charmander saw no weakness in his opponents defense. No chance to cause any real damage. That left one option...
Darting to the side Fable adjusted his position in the cavern. He needed his voice to carry...
Quickly the Charmander let out a feirce Growl!!

Though the Durant would ignore the sounds of the growl as he simply looked for a way to put out that flame. His own fear of the flames for the moment would keep him at bay as he turns around and starts to kick up sand at the Charmander ...hoping to lower his tail flame by suffocating it. A snicker on his face at the thought of what he was doing ...as each stoke of sand would hit the air and fly towards his opponent.

((Wow indeed << ))
::Jasmine bit down hard, she was low on the ground now, her shoulder was aching, as were her ribs from that earlier enthusiastic squeeze she received from the Omanyte... she bit her lip... she didn't know what was about to happen when the water came...::
::But suddenly, she saw the ricochet, the way it copied their move... she took a quick action, her poncho, she grabbed it and threw it up, trying to make her own net to catch the burst of water, she yelled upward:: Hit her hard, hit her fast!
::The two swiped from the eeries, as Lindbergh fought control and swerved round, her tail lashing out her stinger, before Claudandas swiped a new coin out from the bottom of a tree at the side of the Omanyte's head... they needed to get this back, they couldn't rely on poison to do all the work!::
::And Lindbergh seemed more than ready to take this challenge now, from her stinger came not one barb, but many, she fired off rapidly her poison stings, looking to match point for bubble and burst them as they came!::
((Roll 1, Jasmine, Roll 2, Pay Day, Roll 3, Poison Sting))
((EDIT: Gah, neither of them hit enough to do any damage, but at least that's a successful evade << ))

Raven and Fable saw it at once, the weakness of it's stance as it turned away from them. The major flaw in it's own Sand-Attack. This was their chance. "Fable, do it now!" The boy barked, sweeping his hand through the air as he gave the command. They couldn't waste this opportunity.
Fable reacted at once, launching himself forward upon all fours, tail swaying behind him as the flame grew bigger and brighter. Rather then run to avoid the flying sand, the reptile was running directly into it! True the attack was meant to blind the scarred Charmander, but while the sand was still being kicked up it blocked off the Durant's vision as well.
Eyes burning as fiercely as his tail, leaped toward the Durant. Rightening himself mid-air as he passed through the sand, the Charmander swung his tail forward, and his arm back. His claws ignited instantly, closing into a fist as he hurled it toward his armored adversary. It was time for this bug to fry beneath the power of his Fire Punch!

The girl continued onwards ...at least not in darkness as they left the magnemite behind them. The sound of it's buzzing would come to her ears as she wonder a bit about whom had design such an contraption and convinced the pokemon to stay there. Though she would shake her head a bit upset at it all ...this was a waste of a place, and she knew the further she went in the chances of her finding a new member was becoming more and more bleak. Life tend to say at the edge of the cavern and only the most resistant the back.
If she found anything here it would be the toughest of the tough, and she wasn't exactly sure that Aella would be up to such a thing.
"Humph, maybe our luck really isn't good."
She declares lightly to the squirrel," but maybe, there is good luck in finding nothing."
She whisper to the Aella whom seems to nod her head in agreement. Whether she agreed with what the girl was saying or not was unclear as her tail went up and her ears straight at that moment. Something was ahead, and this time Victoria smiled lightly in anticipation. This was going to be bad indeed.

It was that moment of stupidity. A moment when insight was blinded by rage as the flames would billow up and cut into the Durant like a knife through butter. The attacks, the taunting it all flares into the pokemon's fist as the Durant screamed in pain as it reared backwards and the flames burned him almost completely into nothing as what was left ...nothing but ash pelted the ground as the bug was consumed.
The match was over, but it was a hard fought one indeed.

Riku could barely do anything to avoid this oncoming attack as she hobbles weakly, pain jolting up her leg with every step. Tears swept down the girl's face but she stubbornly wiped them away quickly. As the pokemon knocked into her, she hit the ground with a loud thud. She lay there for a couple seconds, unable to muster the will to get back up. At first, she just thought about lying there and pretending to be dead. Maybe the pokemon would think she was done and then leave on it's own. She highly doubted it, so she managed to sit up upright. It was obvious the girl wasn't going to get up, as she picked up some rocks around her for one last shot at getting the pokemon to leave.
[4/5 injuries substained] O.O.C// This does not look like it will end well. What happens when she hits five?
