Zai, in a side room sitting up against a wall, had fallen asleep hours ealier. Waking up just a bit, she put on her mp3 and started blasting the song What If by Creed.

The song coming to an end, she began playing at a much lower volume the song Self Deception by Asphyxia. Standing up, she walked into the room where Julian and Nightshade were, still only half awake. Zai then leaned against the wall by the door, yawning.

His body crumpled to the ground, but he didn't realize it. He tuned up the thoughts coming from Zai so that he heard the underlying thoughts more clearly than the forwarded ones. He did the same for Nightshade then came back into the physical world. "Huh? Why am I on the ground?"
