Well, I did it. I jumped epis 38 and 39 to see what came up of 40. And I have to say it wasn't disappointing at all! (Well, just for a couple of details...)
Detail #1: As Sailor Yue said, it wasn't bloody at all. (Kuro's father arm was *anime spoiler* turned into stone, so it couldn't bleed at all *end of anime spoiler*
Detail #2: When Kuro's mother is about to be... you know... killed, she coughs a little and that is the only animation failure I notice (it looks like she bends to the left... like bowing... strangely... eek ) And when she is slaughtered... I believe a more sword-like sound would have been great there. Or a meat-being-sliced sound. (sweatdrop That was so bad of me!!! I made it sound like Wong Fei's minion was a butcher!!! *pets crying chibi Kuro-sama*)
Detail #3: Kuro's hand isn't hurt by Tomoyo's ray of light. Instead, he is tied to a rock by Tomoyo's ray of light xd (I remember saku-chan being all angry when Tomoyo hurt Kurorin razz)
Everything else was excellent eek
-Excellent expressions. No weird faces! 4laugh And emo chibi Kuro was the very best!!! *faints* -Excellent animation. Just look at Kuro trying to catch the fish... one of the best I've seen in this anime (that's sad... crying) -Excellent music. I think it's all new... And I have to say...YEAH!!! NO SONG OF STORM AND FIRE!!!! xd I'm throwing a party just because of that!!! *hugs squids and gives them party hats* Mmm... squishy. -Excellent pace. Though I would really want the explanation for Syaoran spacing out from reading the book. A little one, at least. It was so fast that there was no time for Tomoyo presenting herself, but I really didn't care much. xp -Excellent relations. Although they didn't include that beautiful image of the three (Kaasan, tousan and chibi-kuro) hugging, the relationship with his parents is shown more than in the manga, in the beginning of the epi.
...Have I said that I'm in love with Kuro's father? I liked him a lot when I read the scans, and then I watch this epi, and I want him even more! xd Too bad he's married... (He really looks like Jima from Chobits... sweatdrop )
So... because of all this, I officially make epi 40 my 2nd favorite epi of all the anime!!! xd

actualy, it was FWR himself who killed kuro's mom, not a minion. theo nly minion FWR has is Xing Hou, and look what happened to her in the manga O_o
they didnt includ the syao-nightmare. they HAVE to have syao have a nightmare about the other syao!! [semi spoiler for non-manga readers] its a set up for when syao goes psycho later on in this arc!!
its CLAMP's misdirecting us into thining the other syoaran is EVIL
they BVETTER include it in the next episode, perhaps hell have it before waking up and having a chatty-chat with kuro about what he saw.
plus the removal of the set up removed a kawaii syao-saku fluff moment. when syao wakes up from the syao-nmgithmare, sakura holds his hand, forehead to forhead and says "bad dream go away" or something like that..."LOVE LOVE-" cried mokona and the 2 kids jump away blushing, and fai says something like "you were casting a charm?" or something like that. anyways it was a kawaii fluff moment that beetrain removed sweatdrop

I've been watching the Anime with much interest, and I ove all of them especially by my Fai-kun heartheart and Kurogane-kun heart And I thought the last episodes were rather good. Especally that one with Mokona ^_^ Made me laugh!

I doubt it'll come on DVD to america anytime soon. For now, we're stuck with the manga.
It may be two, three or more years before it comes out on DVD. Your best bet to actually get it is if you looked it up on Ebay or something and get a bootleg verison.

I remember Syaoran being very angsty about getting Sakura's feathers in the manga... but now... they're just walking down the road??? Anime Syaoran-kun is so careless... what is wrong with you? scream -What a way to save someone... by getting paid a bus ticket by that person... -That peeking whistling sound was supposed to be funny... but it really wasn't. gonk (I'm starting to think about having squids for dinner tonight... domokun ) -All of them hiding was better... but not enough. -Oh, for the love of God... just because they can't talk to the old guy? Gimme a break!!! scream -What is keeping Kurorin from taking his tea? ... just plain weird... -Oh, yeah, where is Yuzuriha's Inuki? Isn't it supposed to be with her all the time? Oh... so maybe it's a ghost... and no one... not even Fai or Sakura, who supposedly have huge, unknown powers, can see the spirit dog. A terrible filler episode... I wouldn't watch it ever again... Kurogane looks weird again. If you don't want to suffer, then don't watch this. The story sucks. It's really awful. It's officially the worst episode I've seen...

It doesn't seem as if the X world is going to show up at this season, but we never know, BeeTrain did Piffle in 3 episodes, they might fit the X world in the remaining ones. Not that I care about it anyway...
OMG!!!! That sounds freaking awful!!! gonk How can they fix such mistakes in THAT WAY?!?!?! This will make Rekoruto horribly long and tedious!!! And there's a dedication just to Kurogane and Tomoyo talk???? I said I didn't care they excluded that from episode 40! scream Oh, for the love of God...
I really hate they are going to make two full episodes (AN HOUR! *faints for a minute... then gets up*) to add such stupid fixes...
Syaoran shrinking... OK, no comments... I'm just too tired talk2hand And I still don't know what to think about Kero-chan appearing... it could be extremely good... or it could be extremely bad...
I thought this season they would realize that 1st season was average/bad stuff, and they would get better... but making just two epis to explain about the marks of the bat and how Tomoyo and Kurochi met... Oh... CLAMP should have given this to Bones, or Mad House... or Kodansha...
I was watching Dragon Ball Z yesterday (one of my first animes, and one of my favorites), and they move a lot more than the characters in Tsubasa, even if they're just standing there, talking, they move their heads and all... And it was an anime made in the 80s... what a pity... This just teaches us that old is not necessarily bad. sademocrying
[EDIT] Oh, yeah, I forgot. I really REALLY hope they don't do the X chapters yet... The arc hasn't even been finished in the manga, and it would be very bad if they left us at the middle of something. Also, it would give them 6 months to get feedback from whoever makes them comments (I hope CLAMP thinks that Rekoruto fixings are awful so that they finally interfere with the making of the anime) and with a lot of work (and perhaps a miracle or two...) they will get better and make the 3rd season the best of all.
There I go... deceiving myself again... crying If they will make an awful work out of the X country, I sincerely prefer not have it in the anime at all.
This season went much more faster than the 1st one. I can tell because the 1st went through 7 volumes, and the second went through the same amount of volumes... and it is getting very close to the point of the manga that we are reading. When the 1st season finished, I think we were a lot ahead. (I think it was Shura/Shara country) Now, the Country of Idols was never shown... It sounds to me we're getting a lot of filler episodes for the season ending... Crappy. emo And when I read the Piffle chapters, I got the feeling it was longer than three episodes... I guess the party where everyone gets drunk was what made it a bit larger... crying(wow... that was a huge edit...)
