You walk through the dark, shadowed forest. In the middle of a clearing, with one single ray of light centered on it, is a mirror. What do you see when you look at it?
I see my reflection - I see who I really am inside.
I see who I have become - all my past efforts and endeavors roll before my eyes.
I see potential - the future, with all its possibilties, becomes clear to me.
I see my inner demons. I recognize them, so that I may conquer them.
I see darkness; the mirror is not a mirror, but a window to my soul.
I see someone else - the mirror is not a mirror, but a window, showing me my heart's true desire.
I refuse to examine the mirror. It is an illusion - I do not need it to tell me what I already know.

"I wouldn't worry about it. Who really cares what dead Draons did or thought? Things are the way they are, who cares why?"

Hashmal grabbed the demon with her clawed hand, it easily surrounding his neck, "I. CARE. What they lost could have very well saved this weak human nation of the desert from the Horde!"

"So what?" Farfarello dared, "Life goes on, or doesn't. You obviously have no regard for my life, which is concerning at the moment." The demon's voice was a bit strained, eyes nearly closed. "So if you'd be so kind..."

Raedou turned his head to the knight and stared at her, a pair of golden eyes blazing behind his visor.

"Knight..." he groaned, obviously not in the mood, "Let bean sprout go. And you, bean sprout..."

He turned his head back, returning his gaze to the path ahead.

"You'd best not provoke the rage of a Draon knight." he said, "Now, both of you. Leave eachother alone."

Eopia was very close, now. Staring at the length of the road, Raedou predicted that they would reach the town within a few minutes.

-----

Perrault was doing just so, flailing his arms up and down and screeching loudly in fear, like a baby bird that just fell out of the nest. He shook Myrrelda violently as they fell, trying his best to wake her up again. The elf was completely helpless... until he remembered that he had a sack of cursers. He opened the bag, pulled out a green curser, tapped it and spoke the magic word. Seconds later, an enormous leaf shot out from the wall nearby, catching them in it's soft surface... until the elf and the demon's weight combined caused them to slip off of the leaf and continue falling. During this, Perrault once again began to flail his arms.

"Fine... although I was restraining..." Hashmal said, dropping the demon from her grip.

Farfarello caught himself on the caravan wall. "I didn't mean to!" He said in a rage. "It just seems like I can't open my mouth without offending somebody, no matter how unintentional it is." The demon again longed for his power back; how much easier life would be, and had been before!

Tascalon squirmed, having fallen into Raedou's lap during the commotion, and was just realizing that the lap he was sitting in was not the correct one.

When the demon turned back around, the child crawled right back where he was "supposed" to be.

"If that's what you think, bean sprout," the Ganzi replied, "than perhaps you should not talk at all."

They were at the Eopian gates, now. Relieved to be in civilization once more, the Ganzi rode towards the gate nearest to the caravan... until they were stopped by a guard.

"Hey, now!" the man yelled, "What's a motley crew of misfits like you doing, riding into Eopia?"

"We are caravaneers who have come from the desert, to seek shelter from the great cataclysm that shook the sands." said Raedou as he nervously signaled Farfarello to climb into the caravan before the guard noticed his horns, "Please, let us pass. We need to resupply and rest at the nearest inn."

The guard laughed as his glare at the Ganzi shifted to Ackune.

"Heh, sorry, no can do." the guard chuckled, "Not unless I see some papers or some proof that you're who you say you are, and not just a traveling troupe of troublemakers."

Raedou sighed in frustration, for he had no proof that wasn't hiding with them, disguise as a boy. Callisto's appearance would grant them access easily, but it was too great a risk...

"Right, right..." Farfarello sighed as he clambored into the back, his whippy, prehensile tail wrapping around Tascalon to take the child with him.

Princess Calisto woke from a nice nap, blinking sleepily and surveying the situation.

Farfarello stepped around the princess and cupped his hand to his mouth, whispering to Jaeto's ear, "It seems we need some papers to get into Eopia. Not my stack of cards," he glanced back at the old Ganzi, completely oblivious to the fact that 'not my stack of cards' was not an actual phrase, "so you start writing or we're all in trouble."

"Let us pass!" the Ganzi growled, "We have children in the wagon, and they need food and water!"

"Not a chance, buddy." the guard replied, "Not until I get some solid proof."

"This is rediculous! You humans are paranoid about every little thing!"

"Oh, so now we're moving to the racist talk. Is that right, furball?"

"W-Why, I never! How dare you speak to a Ganzi with such disrespect!"

"Take it somewhere else, you lanky old man! Go n' sit in your rocker for a while! Hehe!"

Boiling with rage, Raedou began to spew curse-words in Ganzian, whistling at an ear-piercing frequency. The guard, feeling threatened and taken completely by surprise, held his spear up in an offensive position and backed against the wall as the Ganzi screeched and whistled, stomping his feet and flailing his arms like a maniac, his entire suit of armor vibrating on his body at the loudness of the tantrum. This went on for about 30 seconds until the guard couldn't take it any longer.

"AL-ALRIGHT! ALRIGHT, ALRIGHT!" he screamed, covering his ears and wincing in pain, "You can go through! J-Just don't do that again! I'm sorry, I'm sorry!"

Readou stopped almost instantly and, with a deep breath, lashed the reigns to start the caravan moving again. As he passed the guard (who was on the ground, cringing and shivering, the loud noise still ringing in his ears), he nodded to him respectfully as though nothing happened.

"...Thank you, good sir." he said politely as the caravan entered Eopia once again.

Farfarello's body was stiff and twisted as he jerked in the fetal position, clutching his long ears and completely unable to move, his eyes wide and dialated.

When he regained his movement (although still shaking), he clawed his way slowly, with deleborate motions, back to Raedou. "DON'T... EVER... DO THAT AGAIN!!" He shouted over the ringing he heard.

Readou ignored the demon and stopped the caravan at the stable, where they found it on their last visit to Eopia. He then jumped off of the front seat and latched a feeding bag to Ackune's muzzle, where the bison began to eat ravenously. After feeding and comforting his bison, Raedou limped toward the back of the wagon, and signaled everybody to get out.

"I have personal business to attend to," he said as he looked around, "so we must part ways for now. Jaeto, you and Callisto should find an inn. A comfortable one, but not too expensive."

He pulled out a small sack of coins and placed it in Jaeto's hand before turning to Hashmal and Farfarello.

"Bean sprout, you and Hashmal must go find a blacksmith. We need Hashmal to be at her best in combat, and for that she needs a new sword. Again, a nice one, but not too expensive."

"Let us meet here at daybreak." he directed, turning to leave without another word.

Why do I have to go with Hashmal? Farfarello complained to himself. He then looked down to his weapon, his tiny, tiny weapon. How come I can't have a sword? Farfarello sighed, hung his head, deemed it useless to argue and trudged behind Hashmal, completely forgetting Tascalon in the front seat.

No one seemed to think it was a bad idea to have a walking suit of armor and a demon striding loose in the streets of the city.

Raedou noticed Tascalon in the front seat. Frustrated at the demon's carelessness, he grabbed the baby (who was most likely crying) and turned to call the demon's name.

"BEAN SPROUT!" he yelled, but no avail; the demon was already too far away to hear the Ganzi's voice over the chatter of the townsfolk.

After a long silence and a long while of locking eye contact with the baby, Raedou groaned in displeasure.

"Looks like we're stuck with eachother for now." he grumbled as he walked toward the marketplace to take care of his business.

Needless to say, Tascalon wailed, drawing many unwanted eyes in their direction.

Having no idea how to calm Tascalon down, Readou carried him to the caravan, where he tried to comfort the crying infant. First, he tried making funny faces. Of course, none of them could be seen, since he was still wearing his helmet.
