Ultimately, chose against it. Found another path and am working towards it.

Good. I have respect for the military and all, but we have far too few beards hanging around here, and I'd hate to lose you permanently.

I can't help but notice you're posting again, so I figured I'd notify you of some things.

You're currently the only person in Konoha, since none of the others have come back. I'd say you should transfer to another village, but we're currently in the process of planning a complete reboot of the guild world. I'm not sure how long that's going to take, so making a new character for another village could just end in you having to change the character as soon as it's made.

We also have changed a bunch of things related to professions and types, necessitating new profiles, which I know you haven't submitted one of yet. That needs to be done if you want to keep RPing, before or after the reboot.

If you want to keep Cryshal, I'd recommend rebuilding her with our newer system setups, and giving her a newish background, kept ambiguous enough to work in any village. We're currently leaning towards moving to a single village setup at least until we have more members, and chances are it might not be one of the current ones.

For now, I recommend redoing your profile with any changes to profession and type that you want to make, and starting over with her in Kumo, since that's the most active village right now. You can of course keep any jutsu, gold, mission points, or items you currently have, since you're rebuilding a current RPC rather than making a new one.

Thing is, you could keep running around in Konoha, but you'll be alone, since none of us have the time to make an NPC or run a mission to get you out of there or anything right now, and that's incredibly boring.

Hey, I'm going to tap your odd grey matter for a bit, since you really seem to love making characters and stuff. What I'm going to do, is give you a task, to create something for me. You have free reign within the guidelines I set to do whatever you want, so long as it falls within the realm of realism. That means, basically, if I ask you to make a civilian NPC, I don't want him to secretly have some sort of superpowers. Some ninja training, maybe, sure, but he shouldn't be able to defeat an invading army single handed. If you do well and I'm satisfied with the work, I'll give you another to do, and so on. Consider it both practice and training, and maybe if all goes well, more can come of it. Again, because I couldn't fit this in quite right before, if you do well I'll be giving you more characters to create, at first most will be civilians. So, while I don't mind some being trained, or even retired ninja, or whatever, and some even being rather powerful, I do not want the all to be, because that is stupid and unrealistic.

~

First task, a blacksmith. That is to say, a blacksmith's shop. This shop should sell all your basic metal weaponry and gear, as well as having a forge in the back where it is all made. The shop should come with at least two characters. One, the blacksmith himself, and another, to man the counter when the smith is working. The second can be a relation of any kind, wife, son, daughter, sibling, or even just a hired hand of either gender and any (Reasonable) age. The characters should come with small profiles (Not character profiles) with personality, description, age, short bio, a picture, and basic stats according to our current systems. The stats should again be realistic to their lives, meaning the blacksmith should be rather physically strong, but not necessary fast or anything. If you wish he can be a dropout or retired ninja of low rank, and if the shopkeeper is young, s/he can be a genin or academy student, or just a civilian.

(Note that any future tasks will have less description in place, as I expect you to remember the guidelines on character design I have included for this one. Ninja status of future characters, if not mentioned directly, is up to you, but should be realistic to their current position/profession.)

Woot! I finally have a reason to create characters!

I'll have them done here before too long. Just gotta think how I'm going to work their background.

Keep in mind the single village concept. If you do well, that's where they'll be used. So basically no references to the living in Village X before moving to Village C and selling wares to Village B-G or whatever. Not sure how far in the future we're going yet, or if it's even going to be part of the original PotS world or a new one entirely.

As far as that is concerned, I've got the Smith at 63, and he grew up in the new village, after being born into a nomadic group of Smiths.

Haven't gotten to the Assistant yet. The Smith's Background is up though if you want to read it, see how you like it, or if I need to change it.

Most of it's alright, though there's a few points that stand out.

One, the ears... Um, what? lol
I don't think that's actually physically possible. Just say it's a unique feature of his tribe, or just ignore the fact the picture has them in the first place.

Since we don't know the exact time frame, the new village could be brand new, or several hundred years old, so it's best not to put too much work into aligning him with the village's creation like that.

The council is planned as an actual body within the RP, and with the way it's currently being looked at, he wouldn't be allowed to sit in, or be a member. Any input he gave would be through one of the council members if he happened to know them.

And last, as previously mentioned, I don't know yet what time frame we're using. We might be far in the future, or in a whole new world. The current villages may never have even existed in the new world. That said, making reference to a legendary smith is fine, just know that it might not be relevant to current PotS lore.

I was basing it off of the fact we can get couliflower ears from boxing, so having them pushed like that seemed at least plausible. But yeah, if it can be a tribal attribute, I'm fine with that.

Okay, I'll make it more ambiguous.

Ah, okay. I wasn't sure if the council was going to be a bunch of npcs, or something.

Alright, I was just referencing it because it was better than referencing a real world smith. But if they're removed, I'll go with the real world smith.

Oh, it's fine to use the one you did. It'd just be a cameo instead instead of a reference to guild history. I only mentioned it because if we don't have the villages having existed, there wouldn't be a smith of Kirigakure at all.

Character Info
----------------------------------------------------------------

Character Name: Kaijinbo Totosai
Nicknames: Smith, Kaijin-Sensei
Age: 63
Gender: Male
Hair Color: White
Eye Color: Yellow
Height: 5'7''
Body Type: Muscular, Stout
Distinguishing Features: His ears are pointed as a trait from his tribe of smiths. He is also covered in tattoos, though they just seem to be tribal.
Personality: Gruff and tough on almost everyone, respectful to the higher ups, and amicable with those he trusts, his only real soft spot is toward his assistant.
Background
Born into a tribe of nomadic smiths in the declining days of the shinobi nations, Kaijinbo's group was sacked by desperate shinobi who wanted some semblance of military power and wanted it fast. As the little mobile village was being robbed, a more defined shinobi squad came in and routed the offenders, saving only a handful of the smiths, Kaijinbo counted among them as a babe.

Growing up in ---gakure, he's known some of the current council members who rose through the ranks of the shinobi to get there since either he or they were a child. Occasionally one or two of them asks for his opinion, but that is quite a rare occurrence.

He learned the trade of smithing from a woman who called herself his aunt, though he's still unsure as to if she was actually his aunt, or if she was just another woman in the tribe. Being the only child from the tribe to take up smithing as his profession, his aunt told him he'd be marked for every smithing technique he mastered, and by the time she died, he'd be so covered in tattoos that no one would be able to see any of his natural skin color. This was a hyperbole, but she was correct in that she taught him everything, to the point he had earned every single mark the tribe could offer him. He reached out to the village shinobi at a young age and told them that if they could retrieve any sort of smithing guide, he'd prepare masterfully made swords and blades for their commanders. This allowed him to learn the different techniques of the other masters in making blades, and allowed him greater mastery over the art. It was at this point that some began calling him the second Demascus, commenting on a legendary sword smith family. He gladly accepted this nickname, and even emblazoned it on his store sign, naming his new shop Demascus' Iron.

Decades passed in the blink of an eye for him, he'd learned so much and poured his entire being into his art, and he was genuinely happy, or so he thought. One of his closest friends died, and gave him a moment of pause at the funeral. His eyes looked toward his own horizon, and he knew that he'd never taken the chance to obtain a family of his own, he'd die and no one would ever carry on his lineage, his legacy of smithing. He knew that in order for a shinobi village to be strong, they'd need a strong shinobi, and his blades helped with that. Without a good smith, the village would take a hit, and none of the other village smiths could compare to his metal. He decided on that day to take himself an apprentice, since the time for children had long since passed him up.

Character Info
----------------------------------------------------------------

Character Name: Kikuji Inukai
Nicknames: Scrawny
Age: 26
Gender: Female
Hair Color: Dark Blue
Eye Color: Blue
Height: 5'9''
Body Type: Thin, almost frail looking
Personality: Typically seen playing with the knives and acting like a fool, Kikuji is childish normally, though she's able to carry on a lengthy conversation without fidgeting around constantly. She's occasionally mean spirited, though she does so playfully, rather than to hurt. She can't stand people who buy the things her teacher and employer creates to go out of their way to harm someone. She's been known to use a staff to toss people out of the store since she's competent with it.
Background
Kikuji was born a healthy child, the doctor said she'd be a great asset to the village in the future, and maybe even become the kage someday. It wasn't until her chakra began to eat away at her that her health began to decline. She was in the academy when it happened, some of her chakra leaked out and lashed out at her body, causing minor damage to the area around her, and severe damage to the girl's body. At this point, the medical shinobi tried to heal her as best they could, but many of her organs were severely injured beyond repair. Though she'd survive, she'd never be a shinobi. A seal was placed on her so that she'd never regain use of her overwhelming chakra. It was after this point that she began to look for a job, since she was old enough to work, and didn't want to be a burden on her parents. She found work at the Smithy in the village, Demascus' Iron as an assistant, and off and on apprentice when her body wasn't giving her grief. For the rest of her life, she'd momentarily feel the pain as her chakra moved within her body, even after being sealed. Her wounds had closed and scarred, giving her discomfort from that as well. Though she'd never be able to truly master Kaijinbo's knowledge of smithing, she'd be capable of learning enough to teach the next generation.

Demascus' Iron, Smithy of ---gakure.
A sizable store from the outside, Demascus' Iron is only a single floor store With a separate materials building in the back, which is constantly locked, lest some child wander in and pull heavy clumps of Iron down onto them. The forge is located in the back of the building, accessible through either the back of the building itself, or through a doorway in the shop area behind the counter.
Upon entering you're assailed by the sound of hammers striking hot Iron, a metronome of sound. The hiss of hot iron being plunged into iron is a momentary reprise from the monotonous clang, as is the occasional curse uttered for a mistake, or a false strike. The heat is unbearable to stay in there for any longer than an hour unless you're properly prepared, as no windows or vents exist in the main area. The Heat is only matched by the cold emanating from the steel and iron that hangs on the walls or on racks. The weapons create an inner barrier, only a couple of spots of wall visible between seemingly interlocked weapons. The sheer amount of steel makes you wonder if the building is structurally sound with all of the weight expressed. The racks of weapons occupy most of the store and limit maneuverability within the store greatly. The only reprise of space is a pocket in front of the counter. Behind the counter are drawers upon drawers that seem to be labeled for smaller weapons, or weapons of a more precious variety.

This is as far as I've gotten since I don't know the basis of the village. Like is it coastal, or like konoha, maybe Iwa? Basically this is just the building itself without any regard for the terrain and culture of the city itself.

In other news, I've given up on my Tech character since I can't find a decent picture of how I want him to look, and instead get stuck with a picture of someone with a robotic arm which would require far too much maintenance than a starting character could afford, I'm just going to go ahead and make a cleric character. Yes, that's right, I'm making a cleric in this system. Notably, he'll be a tad bit evil, but that's to be expected from a person who is so strictly adherent to their rules that they have stone set morals and guidelines.
