((...Yes, I got permission to pull off the following. >3>))

Eloysio could feel the wind threaten to blow him away, but he quickly put up a force field around him that helped him stay in place. With no room to think on the larger scale of things, however, he could only keep it to himself. After setting that up, he focused his mind into casting another spell that endowed the lightning dragon he manipulated with a blackish aura. It then went on to simply circle about the field of battle, absorbing all the black lightning that was shooting about.

Once Sheena saw the flames go up, she decided outright, taking out a seal that ornate designs and inscriptions on it in blue. She held up the card, allowing it to levitate, and it stayed even though there was a wind blowing. As she clasped her hands and began to concentrate, a glyph of white with an aura of blue flaring from it appeared beneath her feet. "That's it. I call upon the Maiden of the Mist. I summon thee...come, Undine!"

In the air above her, the blue-skinned, purple-haired maiden of water materialized. "What is thy request of me, Sheena?" the spirit asked.

"Go douse those flames...but make sure not to hurt the body within it! Heal him, even!"

"As you wish." Undine soared off through the air, going on put out the fire with bursts of water while taking care not to harm Cinkel's body. She then went on to cast her unique spell of healing waters upon him, taking care of the wound.

Once Undine had taken care of the fire, Chiaro's Catena Luce chains went on to wrap around Cinkel's body. Their hold wasn't so tight that they would crush him, but was firm enough to keep him from moving.

There was still all that wind to edge off, however. Eloysio began to telepathize toward his allies. Hrm. I want to enter Cinkel's mind myself, but...to concentrate on what I need to, I would have to dispel at least one ongoing effect...the lightning could still be useful, so I choose my force field...but then this wind would blow me about. What could be done...?

Kratos looked around, finding that he, Colette, and Zelos were conveniently arranged in a triangle around the battlefield. Then, without really taking it into consideration, he figured Eloysio would be listening in on his thoughts, and replied with such. I could use my powers to create a barrier, but for this to be of any use at all, I need the aid of Colette...and Zelos.

What he didn't know was that Eloysio was channeling the telepathic conversation all over the field Only Uriel, Devian, and Schwarz (since he had entered Cinkel's mindspace) weren't hearing it. Colette blinked as she heard Kratos' voice in her head. She was about to speak aloud, but Eloysio interrupted her first.

Say it with your mind. ^.^;;

O.O;; O-okay...Kratos, what do you want me to do...?

I am going to start an incantation in Angelic. You must follow my lead...and concentrate enough.

...You do realize you're kind of too distant to hear each other, right? But I can keep up this sort of connection until you're done. You're welcome.

Er...right. After a few lines, you'll notice that the words begin to repeat. After which, I trust you can keep up on your own.

Okay, gotcha.

Zelos, I would hope you got that all too...

With that, Kratos and Colette extended their wings, prismatic circular glyphs glowing beneath them. Light energy in the form of flurries of white feathers floated upward around them. In his concentration stance, Kratos held his sword horizontally at chest level, with his other hand resting against the flat of the blade near the end. Colette simply hung her chakrams on the hook hidden between the back flaps of her clothing and clasped her hands together. Kratos began to speak in the Angelic language and Colette followed, soon getting up to speed.

(Sorry it took me so long to respond everyone! gonk I had a sort of stressful situation I needed to sort out...I'm back now, though. ^_^)

Rhone hadn't moved. He was still eyeing Uriel in case he attacked again. Prepared to strike with his weapon if need be.

Zelos shakes his head and sighs.
"Man I hate using my wings..."
Now...if only I'd STUDIED the angelic language...

Zelos soon took his spot in the air, forming a triangle with Kratos and Colette. He sheathed his stiletto and placed his hands to his sides, casting along with them. Unfortunately, he didn't know the angelic language very well at all..so in place of words he didn't recognize, he simply said some gibberish that sounded similar. Surprisingly, it didn't effect the spell.

The two other angels didn't break their spellcasting or make any sort of obvious reaction to the way Zelos was approaching this, but at the very least sweatdropped; Kratos, out of exasperation, and Colette, out of secondhand embarrassment. Still, they were surprised that the spell worked regardless. A transparent golden force field surrounded the area, blocking out the wind.

Now's my chance! Eloysio made his personal force field vanish, then landed on the forehead of Schwarz's body, as he needed the connection that started from there. He sat cross-legged, placed his index and middle fingers of both hands to his temples, and concentrated.

Having absorbed all the black lightning, the lightning-dragon Eloysio manipulated descended in front of Schwarz, Raine, and himself, ready to protect. Chiaro concentrated on her chains keeping their hold around Cinkel's body. Sheena had to maintain her focus to keep Undine on the field in case she was needed again, but the longer she was out, the more she was feeling drained, bit by bit.

In Cinkel's mindspace, across from Schwarz, appeared the form of Eloysio---not in his diminutive fairy form, but at his normal size of nearly six-and-a-half feet tall and wingless. He looked around, surveying the surroundings to get the gist of the situation. What caught his eye the most was how much Cinkel was suffering. He also noticed the music...remembering back in his time how some would use music as a form of mind control, and assuming this Devian was doing the same. "My word, I must act quickly..."

He murmured a quick phrase that made the his wand glow a red aura. He first jutted his wand toward Schwarz, and that red aura translated into a bolt of energy that painlessly shot into the spirit wolf's ears. Preparing another, he did the same toward Cinkel. "That...is to protect you from what I am about to do. Let's hope it works..."

Devian had Cinkel's body struggle against its bindings. They held just strong enough to hold him still. Tsk. I can't use my arms, and Cinkel has his spells locked away in his mind. I can't access them. This isn't going the way I wanted. He was visible frustrated.

Malphas didn't take any notice to Schwarz bindings though he removed his sword from Cinkel's chest. At that moment, one of the threads connecting the two of them broke and only two remained. When Eloysio appeared, Cinkel just smiled, Good, another friendly face. Heh, you're so tall. Hehheh. Cinkel seemed to be losing it. He seems to no longer perceive what was going on around him. Cinkel just bowed his head and laughed softly after Eloysio casted his spell.

Devian stopped struggling, Tsk, why do angels or any likeness of an angel have to be so strong? He then closed his eyes and bowed his head, Malphas, kill them.

At those words, Malphas began to struggle. His handsome face twisted in angry as a black aura began to quickly spread from his body. His hands turned black and sprouted bird-like claws from the tips of his fingers. His fierce, red eyes began to glow. Cinkel looked up and smiled, Hehheh, uh-oh.

Sensing the irritation of Malphas' controller, Eloysio made a content ear-to-ear smile. His eyes began to glow blue. "Well, Devian. Let's see how you like a dose of chaotic mind noise." Pressing his fingers to the sides of his head, he narrowed his eyes at Malphas and spread his feet apart in a firm stance.

A noise that was a combination of high-pitched whirring, keen hissing, and metallic scraping started softly but steadily increased in volume, threatening to drown out the music. Concentric rings of light the same color as the glow in Eloysio's eyes began to emanate from his head. To Malphas and Devian, the sound had a dreadfully grating quality to it---like nails on a chalkboard, the feeling that it was rattling, cutting into, hurting the eardrums and the mind. And it was only getting louder.

Schwarz and Cinkel, however, could only hear a sound akin to the soft whistling of a boiling kettle. The spell Eloysio cast on them filtered the frequency of the sound he was now making into something tolerable. And all the while, the ancient sorceror kept an expression of deep concentration and strain, maintaining his focused stare on Malphas. He had to feel the effects of his chaotic mind noise too, or else it wouldn't be as effective.

((I'm aiming for at least making Devian's ears bleed. ^.^)b ))

Schwarz stuck a finger in his ear as if he was cleaning out some dirt. "Tea kettle." He stomped his right foot and more chains came out of his aura, and wrapped around the demon, "Take your medicine like a good little demon."

Cinkel just smiled at the events that transpired in front of him. He was completely out of it after all the pain to his mind. Malphas became enraged. Blades shot forth from the ground, slicing most of the chains and freeing his mental arms. The demon's sword in hand disappeared, and he used the palms of his hands to cover his ears in a miserable attempt to drown out the noise. Malphas stood there growling with one eye winced closed and the other staring at Eloysio. Suddenly, Cinkel fell from his crucified position, and Malphas hit the ground face first. A single thread held them together.

Miles away, in Devian's actually body, flames shot through his flute as he hits a bad not. His eye twitched both out of irritation from losing and the ringing that continued in his ears. "Looks like I will have to wait a while longer." He then disappeared in a ring of flames.

Back with the others, Cinkel's body went limp in the chains that were holding him.

As Cinkel's body hits the ground, Rhone glances over and grins.
"So they pulled it off..."
He then glares at Uriel and makes a motion with his thumb across his throat before pointing at him. he then sprints towards Cinkel's body and kneels down on one knee next to him.
"Hey Cinkel! You with us?..."

Zelos slowly descends from making the barrier and lands on his feet.
"Whew...for a second there I thought that wasn't going to work...I probably should've studied a bit more..."

Colette and Kratos broke their concentration as well, touching ground at the same time as Zelos. The barrier faded away from sight. The lightning dragon that Eloysio had manipulated rose into the air and dissipated in a flash of light and the sound of a loud crack.

Sheena finally lifted her focus from keeping Undine on the field, and the summon disappeared in a burst of blue particles. However, she had grown fatigued from doing that and it showed. As she turned to face Uriel, her knees turned in and her stance dropped a bit as she struggled to stay upright and on her feet. She drew a couple more cards from her sleeves and turned a wary stare on Uriel, with an expression that said she still meant business if he tried anything else. She was too mentally drained to say it, but she could use some backup.

Chiaro loosened her chains, which retracted back and slowly re-formed into her usual axe in her hands. Slowly turning to Uriel, she made a stern glare as her eyes began to glow again, though softly. "My work isn't done here...but I cannot stay manifested for much longer..." The glow faded, her expression and body relaxed, and the axe disappeared in a burst of particles. However, her body went limp and was starting to fall forward; but fortunately Kratos swooped in and caught her. She transformed back into Azriel in his arms, unconscious from the energy drain. Colette drew closer to the scene to be close at hand if ever Uriel was still after Azriel and to watch the scene worriedly.

In Cinkel's mindspace, Eloysio watched as both Cinkel and Malphas fell to the ground. He was unsure whether or not to let the mind noise up, but either way, he himself could not stand it any longer. Dropping his hands from the side of his head, the noise abruptly stopped and the glow in his eyes faded. He was feeling dizzy from what he had done, and it showed in the way his knees turned in and his body looked limp. But as he still had enough consciousness to function, he floated in the air instead of collapsing. In any mindspace, he could exercise his imagination beyond what could be done on the physical plane.

From here, he could only hope that it was all truly over. He hovered closer to Cinkel and Malphas to examine the damages, catching sight of the thread between them. "I wonder what this is supposed to mean..." he mused to himself.

Meanwhile, Eloysio's body was still sitting cross-legged in concentration upon the forehead of Schwarz's body. It could hardly be noticed unless one looked very closely, but there was a slight trickle of blood coming from his ears.

Uriel allowed the "angels" to safely descend and the oldest looking one to catch Azriel. He leisurely tossed his blade up in the air and began to walk toward the town, saying, "That thing was getting old anyway." He paused when it clanked to the ground several feet behind him. "I'm smart enough to know I can't handle you all like this. Maybe if that guy had come now but... This is wrong and I have no interest in attempting a suicide mission. Lyra, are you still interested in getting that medicine to your mother?" He started to walk again toward the university town. When he heard no footsteps behind him, he turned and looked at Lyra, rolling his eyes when he noticed Sheena's face filled with will to fight. There was no way she was going to fight him in her state. Even if she had back-up, Uriel would at least be able to take her out, and this closely-knit crew would never allow even one comrade to fall. He could see that much already. "C'mon, don't those three need to be taken to the inn? Assuming, of course, you're taking that body back with you. I don't know what's up in his head." After he said that he regretted it, knowing that counting Sheena out as much as those already unconscious would only inspire her more. Not that it mattered, she couldn't hate him any more than she already did.

Lyra took a few steps forward but stopped. She wanted to get the medicine to her mother but she was sure the group needed help making their way to Sybak. They were going to Sybak anyway, so she could help the group on their way there and get the medicine to her mother. "I would very much like to get this medicine to my mother but first..." She turned back toward the group. "Would anyone like help getting to Sybak?" She queried to the group.

In his mindspace, Cinkel looked up to Eloysio and then over to the threads, Those? Those my 'veins'. They go straight to ma 'heart'. 'Vitals' report. Near maddness. Near death? Must fixxsssoon. Needs, water/wind based sorcery to repair 'veins'. Be all better. He then stared straight upward with a smile on his face. Cinkel is clearly not fully himself at the moment.

In the path to what would lead to Sybak, a black shape rumbled across the grassy plains. Smaller shapes were fleeing it, some scattering and others keeping in groups. Ascended, the black dragon gave chase to the smaller monsters, in an attempt to eat them. The prey were vipers, local enemies of the plains around the area. Though Token would attempt to dine on the rangers and archers around, lately the monster had not been feeling like that.

(Im not sure I added it, but Token can Ascend of her own free will, just not use her breath weapon. The breath weapon is the Mystic Arte. Small intro post! @ A @ )

Schwarz sprinted beside Malphas and Cinkel. Upon hearing Cinkel's medical instructions, "Sounds like every second counts," he sat cross-legged,and closed his eyes this would be by far the quickest choice. "Oro."

In the physical world was watching Uriel movements as he made his way over to Raine and the bodies. "I'll Take care of these two. Go heal Cinkel, he probably needs it." Raine nodded and headed over, "Wait, hold it," he pinched the bridge of his nose, "Cinkel says wind and water based healing only, tell anyone who knows them to use them immediately!"

"How do you-" Raine looked somewhat shocked.

"Immediately!" snapped the sentient being, unintentionally.

Raine ran over to the angels, "Kratos, Zelos, healing wind and healing stream asap on Cinkel, Collette come here and help me with Azriel."

Oro had walked over to Raine and the others, with his brother under his arm and Eloysio sitting in the palm of his hand. He placed Schwarz on the ground before placing the Sprite on his brothers gut. All the while, he kept giving Uriel the evil eye.
