Aquaria looked at the arrow. "Umm, could you help me?" she asked. "It's probably holy, so it might sting, but I can't remove it myself."

"Sure," Aquaria said. "Sanvi's still there."
Sanvi had, in fact, stayed in the mansion. She was sitting on the front steps, watching the forest.

Aquaria followed Garin, thinking. It would have been good for her to be a priestess, for her family, and to make up for her brother. But she doubted she could do it now, even if she really wanted to, since she was a vampire. She had been taught to be proper and pure, so drinking blood would be a difficult adjustment for her.

Sanvi shuddered delicately when she heard Aquaria talk about eating, especially so casually. "Are you seriously not scared or angry? Are you really this glad to be-" Sanvi was about to say cursed, but thought that might not go so well.
"I guess I'm just glad to be alive," Aquaria said. Her stomach growled. "Hmm, I'm kinda hungry," she said.
