 Cloud loved griffins. She supposed that wasn't saying much, since she loved all creatures...but she definitely shared Kalle's excitement. Cloud grinned, completely ignoring Antoinette's arrogant outburst.
An average griffin will grow to about fifteen feet long, and about eight to ten feet high.
Cloud gazed at Narquesse with the utmost curiosity and wonder.
Narquesse here is something different though...what a powerful creature...

 'An interesting suggestion Antoinette, though incredibly incorrect. And might I point out that it is completely unnecessary to add "tards" to that remark. Yes, Cloud, those are the dimensions for an average griffin. Five points to Slytherin! Does anyone know how Narquesse compares to these dimensions? For answering this question correctly you will not receive points, as it is a question unrelated to actual facts about griffins. Ah yes, Meiko! I am glad you are here, we have just begun griffins. This is Narquesse; you will be answering the questions I ask to earn points for your house,' Kalle explained with a grin. She began stroking the soft feathers that coated Narquesse's neck. [I'm not sure how to answer the question...are we supposed to be guessing as to what Narquesse looks like? You want to know how he compares, but we don't know what he really looks like, or how big he is... gonk ]

Gryffinclaw Quidditch Captain As Sparrow heard the correct answer from Cloud she thought she was quite close and was proud of herself for remembering a nearby answer. Sparrow thought she looked at the Griffin before her and wondered. This griffin was still young, but seemed very strong and large. She had no idea how to estimate how large it was....She waited to see if anybody else would answer.

'What about their diet? Does anyone know what a griffin eats?' said Kalle, realizing she had asked a question that nobody could answer. She hoped the students had at least researched a few facts about griffins prior to their lessons.

Alex thought she knew the answer so she raised her hand "Professor Griffins normally eat, dear, birds, livestock, fish, and small animals. When no other food is around they might eat humans or resort to cannibalism" Alex said proud of her answer

'Unfortunately Alex, the last part of your answer is incorrect. There are no records that show griffins ever resorting to cannibalism or eating humans. However, the rest of your answer is mostly correct, as is Sparrow's. Griffins do eat the raw meat of basically any large herbivore, though they will not eat the meat of fish and other small animals. Five points to each of you for Gryffindor, seeing as both of your answers were correct,' said Kalle. She thought for a moment of an interesting question to ask the students. A question that would truly test their knowledge. Suddenly, her eyes gleamed as she thought of the perfect question. 'What behaviour of the griffin is shared by dragons?' she asked, smiling.
