I've got parts created bbut the rest will have to wait until I can get a look at the rest of the info. But that will have to wait until the guild is open.

I have the human looks fine but I'm wondering, How small would a beetle form go to when I go full transformation? Also would tattoos come off when I transform? The rest is more or less sorted apart from the history, but I'm thinking about that.

I will allow tattoos to translate into patterns on the chiton shell. Skin into shell, so the marks can remain. I don't like the idea of hair changing, but ink injected into the skin makes more sense to be seen in the other form.
As for size issues, that has been dealt with in this thread- though a long time back. The most a person can change is 50% in size. thus, a six foot man could become a 3 foot beetle. The mass of a person can only change so much, so to go from a 6 foot man to a 2 inch beetle is just a bit too much for me.

The typa of insect I have chosen is a bombardier beetle. Would it be too much of a problem if I can spray noxious liquids like they can

Not in human form, Midpoint, I will allow it, but the experience will not be pleasant for you with only semi-chiton skin, and in full insect sure.

I think that most problems would come about in the midway form. I can post it in here if you want ot look it over.

Appearance (midpoint): She is quite large compared to the rest of the race, standing tall and muscular at 5' 11". About 155 kilos, she is as solid as they come and can stand up to most things. Like most of the beetle race she has six limbs in this form, four of which are arms and look mostly human. She is covered in the startings of a dusky black shell with red tribal patterns on her wing casings. Inside her abbdomen are natural sprays of noxious acids which she can fire with high accuracy. Compound eyes sit on either side of her head giving great vision while still being able to concentrate and not wildly turn to see.
It's still in the concept stage. I'm open to critisim on it.

The only criticism I have is size. If you start at six feet, and the animal version is three, then midpoint will be four and a half feet. Mid point is literally that, halfway between homonid and beastial. Take the size difference, half it, and then you have the size.
Other points would be that the skin would be armored all over, and the arms you mention are fine- but will be kind of thin, more insectlike. They can still be humanish in form, but will be spindly.

Noted and changed. Is this any better?
Appearance (midpoint): She is quite large compared to the rest of the beetle race, standing tall and muscular for a mid-transformation at 4 foot 5. About 155 kilos, she is as solid as they come and can stand up to most things. Like most of the beetle race she has six limbs in this form, four of which are arms and look mostly like spindly human arms. She is covered in thin natural layer of a dusky black armor with red tribal patterns on her "wing casings". Inside her abbdomen are natural sprays of noxious acids which she can fire with high accuracy. Compound eyes sit on either side of her head giving great vision while still being able to concentrate and not wildly turn to see.
