"Bingo" Sapphrin uttered before the knives hit the tree. They hit only about a half inch away, any closer they would've cut him.Sapphrin positioned him self and launched towards the direction of the knives, only seconds after they had hit the tree. His Scythe was draw and he was about to attack the unknown threat that laid hidden in the tree's.
((Yeah, that is what i mean......:])))

Thorn shot out of the tree and smirked. He flew head on towards the young blue haired boy.And passed him in a flash. Thorn landed on the trunk and sat in the very spot the blue haired elf had sat just seconds ago. He sat and laughed as the boy was heading in the wrong way now that he had moved out of the boy's path. Thorn pulled out more knives along with the one's in the tree and hurled them at the boy.

((No, the one with Terra and Locke and stuff. Where you get your airship from a guy named Setzer.))
Raedou took in another breath.
"The smith takes up residence not far from the Gravity Mines. Goes by the name of Krestere... he's a generous fellow. He'll forge for free if it's for a Ganzi, and he also knows how to make a special item that we need for the Gravity Mines. He and I are very good friends. We can get there within the hour if we hurry... he might even have some Faelnirv stashed somewhere... I wouldn't be surprised if he did..."
He looked down at his wound and smiled weakly.
"We Ganzis heal our wounds faster than other beings... I can already feel it scabbing over, so don't worry about me."
Perrault looked at Farfarello with an odd look on his face.
"Are those annoying?" he said in concern.
He pointed at the horns growing out of the demon's head.
"They look like they're painful."

Ephlas pushed himself slowly off of the tree's support. He was exhausted, but he wasn't wounded. He could make the journey.
"I'll just have to tough it up, then," Ephlas replied. He ignored the demon, and Perrault's question, because quite frankly, he didn't feel like getting involved in the demon's affairs... especially if it would ask him to do something for it.
"The Gravity Mines... interesting...." Ephlas murmured, his mind going over who-knows-what.
((FF3 [American version] is based off of Luneth, Arc, and those other two. I've played the one you're talking about, it's sweet [the world ends halfway through the game!]. I don't have the case with me at the moment, so I couldn't tell you which number it actually is, though.))

"So... shall we be off, then?" asked Raedou, grunting in pain as he slowly lifted his body off of the tree.
He was frustrated, but how could you blame him; nobody wants to go into the dreaded Mines of Kalasteses, especially with a bad leg and a painful wound stretched across his chest.
"If only I had brought my caravan home from Eopia on my last voyage..." he mumbled, "we would already be at Eopia by now..."
((It's FF6.))

((An awesome game, to be sure.))
Ephlas sighed, stretching his limbs. "I suppose. Though," he commented, eyeing Farfello sidelong, "I can't know if the demon plans to come."
Retreating from Baelta would be tricky, since they were already patrolling for Magi. Ephlas was more than capable of fending off several Mindbreakers, but when doing this his body would by susceptible to physical malady. For this reason, it wasn't even safe for someone like him to travel alone. Ephlas explained as much to the others, before making sure he was completely ready.
"As good as ever, now," he revised his statement, standing without a single pack of supplies. "I can carry some of your supplies, I guess," he added, "if you need me to be of more help than I am."
Though such an act would be costly to his body, Ephlas would not go without offering to help.

Farfarello stopped what he was doing to answer Perrault's question, "They make it cumbersome to put on shirts and impossible to sleep on your back comfortabely, but they have their uses." He scratched the tree again. In all truthfulness, they constantly itched on the inside and felt as if they were going to burst, but that was only because his power was locked away inside of them and no amount of scratching eased the plague. Once he was free, it would all be normal again. The demon laughed inwardly at Ephlas's statement, Doesn't want me to come, more like, he thought, but wasn't about to let such a big fish slip away because of something like this. "I plan on it."

"Very well, then... Let us be off."
Raedou pulled his map out of his pack, and showed the new route to Ephlas.
"We travel straight south of our current location and take the left path on the upcoming fork... The smith resides in a small cabin over the hills a little further from there."
He drew a circle around the smith's exact location.
"After we acquire my armor and the other necessary items, we will make for the Mines of Kalesteses, otherwise known as the Gravity Mines."
At that moment, his face darkened.
"I must warn you, Ephlas my friend, the Gravity Mine is not a place to be taken lightly. The gravity in those caverns will be beyond enduring, especially when we get to the lower sector, where the fabled Dark Knight is said to train under the intense gravitational pull."
Raedou's wound was fully scabbed up by now, and some of it was even flaking off, revealing new skin.
He stood up, grabbed his pack and threw a sack of translucent blue seeds to Ephlas.
"Those are Ganzian Dyfes. They are a special crop that grows plentifully where I come from... they should give you enough energy to make it to the blacksmith unharmed and unexhausted."
And without another word, he turned around and started down the rocky slopes towards the blacksmith's house.
"Are you coming with us, Far?" asked Perrault hopefully.
Over the past while, Perrault began to develop a liking for Farfarello... He had never met anyone like him before.
"Perrault! Do not lag behind." called Raedou.
Perrault waved at Raedou in agreement, but then just stood and waited for Farfarello's answer, biting his lower lip.

Ephlas immediately pulled out a seed, nibbling on it. "You did try to virtually turn me into a mote of dust back there, didn't you? I think I'll be fine," he replied, referring to the gravigas spell that had been thrown at him.
Then Ephlas followed Raedou, his only hope to get out of that forsaken country.
((Short I know. Sorry.))

Perrault frowned.
"We have to go!" he said, "Come on, Far!"
He then grabbed Farfarello by the arm and dashed after Raedou and Ephla, already halfway down the hill.
((That's okay. razz ))

Farfarello practically fell after the energetic alchemist. "Damned fragile body," he cursed himself and meant it quite litterally, frowning.

"So," Ephlas began, catching up to Raedou, "tell me what is so special about this object that it will allow you-" he gestured to Raedou, Perrault, and the Demon, "-to escape the flux of gravity?"
He felt better already, though he wasn't sure if it was because of the seeds or because of the prospect of getting away from Erebus.
They would be sure to encounter Mindbreaker Patrols, as well, and Ephlas made a mental note to teach all three of the travelers how to resist such an attack - at least in time for Ephlas to shield their mind more sturdily.

Raedou thought for a few seconds, and then began to rummage through his pack. He then pulled out a small purple umbrella, about half the size of a normal umbrella, with orange designs on it's top. On the tip of it's base sat a blue orb, twinkling in the sunlight.
"This," said Raedou with a satisfied look on his face, "is a Penumbrellity, a special piece of Ganzian equipment that will allows us to venture through the Mines of Kalesteses without succumbing to the effects of the brutal gravitational force."
He handed one of the tiny umbrellas to each traveller.
"By holding it above your head, you will feel lighter on your feet than ever. We will need them if we are to survive all 5 levels of the Mines without crashing into our feet and shattering to pieces..."

Farfarello raised his lip at the color of the penumbrellitys at first, though when he held it over his head and leapt into the air he'd changed his mind; tacky or not, these things were fun.

Although somewhat annoyed by Farfarello's gliding about, Raedou smiled. He was glad to see that Farfarello was having fun.
"Be careful," he warned, "Penumbrellities have been known to carry their users away, if the gravity is too low..."
Perrault opened his Penumbrellity and bounced toward Farfarello to glide around with him.
"Ganzis have the most whimsical things!" he said. "I wonder what else could possibly be in that pack of yours, Raedou!"
Raedou laughed a bit until he started to cough and had to stop.
"Well, we Ganzis like to come prepared."
