Rocktalon opened one eye and noticed the sun shining in the sky. How long have I slept for? She got up and walked into camp, noticing that a lot of the cats were still sleeping. She regretted not setting up patrols and hunting parties last night before everyone slept. I won't make that mistake again. She sat thinking up what cats would patrol and which would go hunting.

Dawnflower rose silently, aware that one wrong move could wake the kits. She poked her head outside the nursery and sniffed the air. She noticed that Rocktalon was the only cat awake and padded over to her. "Morning." she mewed.

Rocktalon turned to Dawnflower. "Good morning" she mewed in a cheerful tone. "How are the kits doing?" Rocktalon was completely fascinated by the small balls of fur.

Foxpaw sat up, blinking the sleep out of his eyes. "Ugh, I can't belive I fell asleep before they got back." he looked at Darkfoot I'll let her sleep some more. he thought as he padded out into the clearing to bask in the sun.

Darkfoot got up, yawning widely, and got a nice juicy frog for breakfast. She loved frogs, and ate it quickly. "Mmm..." She murmured, and went back in her den.

"The kits? Oh, they're as healthy as can be!"she purred. She began to clean her paw then swiped it over her ears.

"That's good, may they grow up to be strong warriors." Rocktalon purred back. "I have to go send out patrols now." She got up and walked towards the apprentice's den. "Cottonpaw, we're going on the morning patrol." Rocktalon went to the warrior's den before waiting for a reply. "Wildpelt, I'd like you to come on the patrol too. Batfur, I'd like you to lead the hunting party with Spottedpath and Phantomheart." Rocktalon left the warrior's den and waited for the patrol to gather near the camp's entrance.
Spottedpath peeked his eyes open when he heard he was going on a hunting patrol. He got up and stretched his back. He licked his lips at the thought of sinking his claws into a nice plump frog. He left the warrior's den and waited outside for Batfur and Phantomheart.

Cottonpaw quickly got up and ran out to find her mentor.
"Oh boy patrol!" she said to herself, but frowned when she heard Wildpelt coming too. Wildpelt could be mean sometimes, and it was awkward to be with her. Technicly, Cottonpaw and Wildpelt were near the same age, but Wildpelt was a warrior because she had trained herself at a very young age. That made things weird.
Wildpelt got up, slowly, and padded out to wait with Rocktalon. She sat next to Cottonpaw and politly nodded without speaking.
Batfur squeezed out of the warrior's den and sat by Spottedpath.
"Do you need to eat before we leave?" he asked him because Phantomheart had not yet arrived.

Rocktalon stood up, "We'll go patrol the WindClan border first. They don't have a leader to lead them so they might try something irrational." Rocktalon headed out of camp towards the WindClan border. Once reaching the border she began leaving a scent marker. "I don't smell any WindClan scent nearby." she happily meowed. The last thing Rocktalon needed was an attack from an enemy Clan.
"I'll be fine until after we get back." Spottedpath mewed. Spottedpath ran his claws through the snow on the ground, patiently waiting for Phantomheart.

Dawnflower padded towards the fresh-kill pile and grabbed a frog to eat. She carried it gently back to the entrance of the nursery and ate it there, letting her kits rest inside.

Wildpelt marked the border along with Rocktalon and nodded.
"I don't think they would dare show their faces after the Gathering. We were the only clan there without some problem going on."
Cottonpaw scrunched her nose against the faint WindClan smell and sneezed.
"Yuck!" she exclaimed. "WindClan stinks!" she glanced up at her mentor. "This is boring, can we go hunting?"
Batfur nodded. "Alright then." And flicked his tail while waiting for Phantomheart.

Wolffang uncurled himself and began to bathe himself. "It sure is a slow day" he mewed to himself between licks. After he had cleaned his fur as much as possible he headed out of the den into camp, keeping his eye open for some cat still in camp. He noticed Foxpaw basking in the sun. Wolffang had no idea how difficult it was being a medicine cat apprentice but he assumed Darkfoot kept Foxpaw busy. Not wanting to disturb the apprentice, he took the longer way to the fresh-kill pile. He grabbed a small lizard and sat down to eat.

Rocktalon was amused with Cottonpaw's eagerness to hunt. "We can hunt on the way back then." She turned to Wildpelt, "You don't mind a bit of hunting before returning to camp, do you?" She began to lead the group towards the Thunderpath, which marked the border with ThunderClan. "We should really renew this scent marker, I don't want any ThunderClan cat thinking they can just come onto our territory." Her fur rose as she talked about ThunderClan. Realizing this she tried to calm herself down by imagining all the prey they could catch on their way back to camp.

Wolffang let out a sigh, for it being leaf-bare his stomach was surprisingly full. He decided that today was too pleasant to spend cooped up in the elder's den. He went over to where Batfur and Spottedpath were waiting. He sat down beside them, knowing full-well that such an act could easily annoy the two warriors. "Waiting for someone? Or are you just being lazy warriors?" He let out a purr, trying to alleviate the tension. "I don't suppose you warriors ever take a break to be thankful for all StarClan has given us." He decided his best bet was to remind them he was an elder, rather than risk getting his tail chewed off.

Darkfoot flicked her tail, eyes glazed over fro, thought. "Sometimes it's boring being a medicine cat." She muttered, snapping back into reality.
