"Mmm?" Maia opened an eye to look at Toby. She didn't want to move, she was comfortable. "I'll stay," she said. After all, she'd stayed last time. "Goodnight Toby."

Toby snickered. He at least had to lay down!
"Not yet, you." He removed himself from Maia's embrace and slid under his own blankets, holding the spot beside him open for Maia to join him.

The selkie grumbled and laid down beside Toby, putting an arm around him. "No more moving," she said. She nestled in the blankets and closed her eyes.

No? None at all? Because holding someone when they were frightened was one thing, but holding someone while they slept was something else entirely. Toby was feeling his first pang of discomfort as Maia slung her arm over him, but oh well. That was her choice. He didn't have to hold her back. He simply lay like he would if he were sleeping any other night.

When Maia stirred next, it was morning. She turned to look at the ceiling, her eyes adjusting to the light of the room. Huh, last night had been nice apart from the storm. She and Toby had talked, listened to music and cuddled.
...Could this be an every night event, at least in the future? No. Breakfast was as far as she wanted to think.

Toby was still asleep when Maia awoke. He had turned to face her in the night and was now breathing softly through his nose. His expression was relaxed and pleasant and he had a hand laying up near his face. Ah, yes, it had been a good night's sleep for him.

Maia looked towards Toby after a moment, smiling. Well, he'd certainly slept nicely, hadn't he? He looked comfortable. She climbed out of bed, not wanting to wake him, and headed for her room to choose something to wear.
She found an outfit and made for the bathroom. She emerged a bit later, hair brushed and dressed.

Toby was up by then and dressed himself. He had gone to brush his teeth and smiled to Maia as they crossed paths. Hopefully she had slept well. He was a little unsure as to what exactly had transpired the night before, but hopefully nobody was going to get the wrong idea.
"Morning."
Dari was in the living room looking over a catalog that had come in the mail.

Maia wandered downstairs, smiling at both men. She went to Dari's side to look over his shoulder. "What are they trying to sell us?" She asked curiously. She'd browsed stores online, but it was still interesting to see that people mailed things out when they had the internet.
She looked to Toby and flashed him a smile. "What's for breakfast?" She asked. It was a Sunday morning, maybe they'd be doing chores that afternoon. And maybe shopping.

"Stuff," Dari said simply, "Just... stuff." He offered the magazine up for Maia to see or take. Really he had just been amusing himself while waiting for his roommates to be up and moving and available for interaction.
"What do you feel like?" Toby asked. "Anything. If we can't make it here, we'll find a place that makes it."

Stuff didn't sound terribly interesting, so Maia did not take the catalog. It wasn't computer or gaming related, or Dari would have been excited. She knew how to recognize that expression by now; he'd probably been bored waiting for them to wake up.
"Muffins?" Maia suggested with a smile. They hadn't made muffins before, and they were probably like cupcakes--except they didn't have to go through that extra step of making frosting.

Toby pointed at Maia. Muffins. They could do muffins. They'd woken up pretty early... or more so Maia had woken him up early. It'd been an odd sort of warm feeling to come downstairs to see her again.
"We can do that. We have blueberries, but that's it. There's all sorts of other types. Better types even. We could go out and grab some from the bakery."

"Blueberry muffins would be fine," Maia mused, she had nothing against blueberries. They exploded when stirred in a way other than how Toby did it, which the selkie found intriguing. "Better types?" she echoed. Hm.
Maybe a trip to the bakery would be fun.

"Orange and cranberry, banana, chocolate chip..." Just a few of their choices outside of these walls. "Do you want anything, Dari?"
Dari shook his head and turned back to the last few pages of the catalog. "Just don't be gone long." It was as close to 'I want company' as Dari got.
"Sure."

"Chocolate chip," Maia beamed. Chocolate for breakfast? Who could say no to that? "What kind would you like?" she asked Toby, wondering what flavor he favored.
"We can do something together when we get back," she promised, looking to Dari. She went over to him and gave him a hug. Hm. Had the storm scared him? "I love you Dari."
