Zelos holds his ear for a few moment before quickly rebounding back into the conversation.
"Now now, Uriel, don't be rude to the girl. We'd love to ride on your boat." ^_^

Rhone strokes his chin in thought while grinning.
"I bet this cure would be made faster if a certain friend of mine helped out....I wonder how Max is doing...While we're in Sybak, I can also swing by my place and pick up a few things..."

((Well, just so it's known that things are moving along, I'm just gonna make a new post instead of editing. User Image ))

Picking up where Zelos left off, Colette did one of those unique gestures of hers---that one where she'd curl both her fists in front of herself and shake them up and down while looking a little distressed. "Yes, please don't argue, guys!" >.<;; She turned to Lyra and made a nod of acknowledgment. "I'm sorry I haven't properly introduced myself yet. I'm Colette Brunel." ^_^

Listening to the exchange between Uriel and Lyra, then hearing Zelos butt in...Sheena made an exasperated sigh. She couldn't tell who she was more annoyed with---Uriel or Zelos, but she was leaning toward the former, seeing how much more uncomfortable Lyra was being addressing him. Though Sheena couldn't help but feel like there were a few holes in her story---Sybak was the Academic City, the city of science...how could there be no doctors or medicine, indeed? However, she did not voice her suspicion, seeing as she didn't want to trouble the shy-looking girl any more. Shaking her head, she made her expression look more pleasant as she addressed Lyra. "Likewise. Eheh...I'd have gotten to it already if Uriel hadn't started something. I'm Sheena Fujibayashi." She looked back at the other people behind her, a signal that she was now allowing them to introduce themselves.

The auburn-haired seraph merely gave a nod of acknowledgment at the girl and answered simply, "I am Kratos Aurion."

Azriel, who had now shifted to the seraph's other side so as to stay away from Uriel, made a slight wave and shyly uttered, "...I-I'm Azriel Serafina." She hoped Lyra hadn't heard of her at all, she didn't want to have to deal with yet another person trying to close in on her.

Eloysio, who had fluttered out of the bag while his protege was making her move, was now standing on her shoulder. He did a sort of stage bow, hand over heart, in the direction of the girl as he concluded, "...And I'm Eloysio Donovan. Pleased to make your acquaintance." ^_^

Sheena continued. "Thanks for your offer to take us across. Though, I don't think we should trouble your mother." She made a light chuckle. "After all, we're a fairly large group. We'll be fine at the inn."

Azriel bit her lip as she subconsciously held tighter to Kratos' arm, staring at the ground and looking nervous. "S-Sybak, though... I'm sure I can't enter that city anymore..." sweatdrop

Eloysio turned on his heel, facing her head and tilting his own in puzzlement. "Why not, my dear?"

Azriel lowered her voice to a whisper as she looked to him from the corner of her eye. "I-It's the city of researchers, Master Eloysio... I-I don't know how, but there are records on this..." She briefly touched her collar to indicate what she was talking about without saying the artifact's name. "They know me, Master Eloysio...they won't believe me when I try to speak against the misconceptions." User Image

Eloysio furrowed his brow and rubbed his chin, even more puzzled. Considering how the collar had to be passed around...it was literally bound to the soul, and the only way for it to detach from one's body was for it to no longer house a soul... It was the sort of thing only kept to oneself, mostly...how could there have been historical records on it?

((I came to a writer's block and had no idea what to do. I'm trying to do so many things at once so I'm trying to reply as quickly as I can. I apologize for the wait))

Lyra smiled at everyone. She had decided to not attempt to talk about much anymore seeing as how suspicious her story sounded. Lyra, have I ever mentioned how stupid your plans can be?

Yes but I do believe they won't ask anything about it. It does seem believable.

Look at them Lyra! They totally don't buy your story. Hell, I wouldn't buy your story even if it was true. Your a horrible liar.

Well, I'm just trying to help them out. Maybe I can be more than just the ferry girl and join their group.

Yea, and what then. 'Oh by the way, I'm a half-elf that can use magic and has been able to since I was born but after my village was attacked I forgot how to and am now using gloves that power up the magic I use but the problem is the magic can't leave the gloves?' Yes Lyra, I'd totally believe that.
Lyra began to have a thought battle with herself. She was trying to not show it much on her face but it seemed to be showing more than she wanted to. Her face began to light up with blush as she continued the battle.

I'm just trying to help them. Is that so wrong?

Well, your a half-elf and not planning on telling them that fact so your basically lying to them right now. And when they ask you about where you came from your just going to say that your father left you and your mother because he was a pathetic human. You really need to think up a better strategy and stop hiding yourself. Be a free animal, not a caged bird.

........Don't use my father's teachings against me.... you!
Lyra still competed with herself as she began to hang her head, as if in a daze, she was completely into the argument with herself.

Uriel's eyes shifted from person to person, who all appeared completely calm, as if not noticing the doll-sized man living in Azriel's bag. His mouth twitched slightly and he erupted, "WHAT IS THAT THING?!" User Image - Blocked by "Display Image" Settings. Click to show. Instinctively, he drew his weapon, and held it shakily with both hands. "W-w-w!" A bead of sweat dropped, and he nervously shifted his weight. He shook his shoulders as if expecting the creature to attack him. He took a clumsy step backward and assumed a forced and odd-looking fighting stance.

Raine tried to make Uriel's question one that she heard regularly, "Well that 'thing', as you put it, is called Eloysio. The resident Sprite of our group." She choose the word sprite cause it sounded at least a little more masculine then fairy.

Oro wondered why Eloysio decided to come out now and not earlier. But as soon as he saw that Uriel had drawn, he let out a little rasp of a growl, "Put that away before you regret it elf..." He immediately regretted that he spoke out but kept on growling.

Schwarz tried to calm everyone down "Er... never mind my brother, he doesn't mean it. I mean he means it, but not the way your thinking he means it, which is probably not the meaning he's meant to get across. Do you get my meaning?" sweatdrop

Zelos can't help but start laughing at Uriel.
"Seriously, man! You're scared of a fai-"
"ZELOS, DON'T!"
"...ry?"

Rhone and Regal both shake their heads. The former also tips his hat down preparing for the ensuing chaos.
PostPosted: Mon Sep 27, 2010 9:49 pm

Eloysio had turned toward Uriel to address him, but then Raine summed things up quite well.

...And then he heard Zelos' remark. He glared in his direction, eye twitching, and his right hand glowed with a pale yellow aura as he clenched it into a fist. As he sharply threw it out in front of him, opening that fist with the palm facing down, a fairly large, ghastly-looking hand made of energy in the same pale yellow color appeared behind Zelos' head.

"I THOUGHT I TOLD YOU NOT TO CALL ME A GOTTVERLASSEN FAIRY!!!" scream

He made his middle finger curl down, its tip resting on the tip of the thumb. The Magic Hand he conjured mirrored his movements. Then in one sharp movement, he delivered quite a forceful finger flick to the back of Zelos' head, making an audible THWACK.

Kratos merely facepalmed. Colette and Azriel had cringed slightly at Eloysio's yelling, as did Sheena. Ooh, that's gotta hurt, >.o;; she added in her thoughts, gauging by how loud the impact sounded.

((...Yes I got permission to land that hit. >.>))

At the sound of Zelos' head being flicked, Rhone simply crosses his arms and his eyes follow Zelos's descent into a faceplant.
"Hmm. Excellently done, Eloysio. I believe you've brain'd 'im."
He picks Zelos up off the ground and stands him on his feet...only to see him faceplant into the grass again.
"Yup...definitely brain'd 'im."
Regal facepalms and shakes his head.
"Did you have to let him fall again?"
"And miss a chance to see an old friend experience an embarrassing pratfall...twice? Not a chance."
"...You're unbelievable..."
"Thank ya." ^_^

Literally shaking herself out of her trance, Lyra blinked and looked around. Everyone, surprisingly was still in front of her. Bowing to the newly introduced people she smiled but jumped back when she was startled by Uriel's exclamation about Eloysio. She also cringed at his exclamation toward Zelos' remark and the fact that Zelos got hit. She gasped when he face planted first and shook her head after he was picked up and face planted again. Sighing, Lyra made a brief hand gesture that usually meant 'follow me' and turned toward her docked boat. "We can fix up Mr. Wilder when we reach Sybak." She sighed again, why was she feeling so nervous? Suddenly, her eyes widened but she dare not turn around and look behind her. No, it can't be... He... But... Then he must know! In almost a state of hyperventilation, Lyra began her annoying yet seemingly necessary ranting to herself. Then he's an Elf of some kind! Why didn't I sense it before!? You can't hide it, I know that but... Realization finally hit Lyra like a sack of bricks. If he knows, he'll tell them! No he can't... I'll.... Find some way of talking to him. No, too suspicious. Maybe drop little hints about not saying anything? No, the others might pick up on it... Umm...

If he asks, play dumb. Duh! Your really good at doing that... Sighing as if it was the only thing she could do at the moment, Lyra gave in. Playing dumb it is... She turned back to the group with a smile on her face. "Shall we get going?" She queried to the group.

Uriel hesitated to answer. He regained enough composure to turn his arms solid again and control them enough to slowly return his blade to it's small sheath. He took a breath, perhaps longer than necessary, and replied, "I'm okay to leave whenever." Though he felt he needed to create some defense for his somewhat childish-seeming actions. "And-- and I'm not scared I'm just-- H--he's just so... little that.... He's just... really little." Each time Uriel said the "l" word, his voice became weaker. He turned around and speed-walked ahead, placing himself next to Lyra, who under ordinary circumstances he would be avoiding. But how was he to know a man so grotesquely small would be on this unfortunate journey? And that he too was defending the girl. Uriel's mind was flooded with stupid, irrational, and frightful thoughts about the small blond 'sprite,' whom Uriel would place himself as far away from as possible during the boat ride.

((OK would you mind editing Uriel's other notes section of his character profile to say "fear of small things"? Which is just fun and interesting xd ))
PostPosted: Wed Sep 29, 2010 10:30 pm

((Done. Wow, it's enough to get him to not notice that the "puppies" talked. xd ))

As he watched Uriel dash off near Lyra, Eloysio couldn't help but make a wry, ear-to-ear smile. So the man seemed to be afraid of him despite his stature...or maybe because of it, judging by how he struggled to utter the word "little". He plopped down on his bottom on Azriel's shoulder and patted the area beside him. "Aha...ahahaha...you're absolutely safe, my little protegé," he whispered.

Azriel could only stare dumbfounded and gaping in the same direction as she reflected for a while upon Uriel's reaction, slowly releasing her grip on Kratos' arm. What went on in her mindspace was another story, however. Oscuro was practically guffawing as she held her stomach, while Chiaro was silently laughing behind her hand.

"Indeed, we should get a move on," Kratos spoke up, starting to trail behind Lyra and Uriel at a casual pace once Azriel had released him.

Once Azriel realized that the group was starting to progress forward, she shook her head out of her daze and continued to follow carefully behind Kratos.

Seeing that no one else was bothering to pick up Zelos, Sheena made an exasperated sigh. "Oh c'mon, don't tell me I'm the one who has to drag him around! Ughh..." she groaned. Shaking her head, she went over the the fallen Chosen, grabbed one of his wrists, and pulled him up to drape his arm around her shoulder.

"Ooh! I'm sorry...here, lemme help you with that," Colette piped up, running over and taking his other arm.

Sheena smiled a bit as she looked over at Colette. "Heh, thanks...this makes it a little easier...."

The two proceeded forth with Zelos' feet dragging along the ground, because he was a bit taller than the both of them.

Lyra smiled at Uriel's 'little' fear. She found it cute in a way. Standing on the dock, she moved out of the way for everyone to get aboard. "Careful while docking and feel free to sit where ever you like." She said, bowing low.
The boat wasn't as colorful as she would've liked it but it could hold a lot of people and was pretty fast. It was white with a door that lead to the under cabin of the boat. There was a wide, open deck for people the watch as they sailed and a small Captain's Cabin so the Lyra could drive the boat.

((over looked the talking mutts! Yahoo!! blaugh ))

Raine and the wolves followed behind everyone else, two of which were dreading the boat ride. But both Oro and Schwarz looked at Uriel in disbelief. It was as if not a single word they said was heard by him. Sure A tiny man was something odd but so were talking wolves. Then again if he didn't, it worked in their advantage of their disguise.

Schwarz hopped onto the boat as soon as he saw it, and ran straight up to the bow. Oro on the other hand, had his tail tucked under him as he sat and whined on the dock.

"Don't worry Oro," Raine scooped up the pup and began to pet him, "you're not the only one dreading this." she gulped as she stepped onto the ship and headed the most center portion of the deck as she could before sitting down.

Oro noticed that Raine's grip had tightened as soon as she stepped on deck, and was getting slightly tighter with every passing minute, "This is gonna be hell." he muttered to himself, knowing all to well what was gonna happen to him, in more ways then one.

Kratos walked across the deck, past Raine, to lean upon the railing at the side, just to watch the scenery go by as they traveled.

As Azriel followed behind and boarded, Eloysio spoke up. "My dear, I am in need of a table. Please, let us look in the lower cabin." ^_^

"Ah, yes Master Eloysio," she answered with a soft smile. She broke away from trailing behind the seraph to go open the door to the stairwell that led down to the lower quarters.

After the two stepped carefully onto the deck, Sheena looked over to the little Angel and said, "Well, Colette...we gotta find a place for Zelos to lay down. Into the lower cabin we go, then."

Colette nodded, and the two proceeded past the open door. Once reaching the bottom of the stairs, they looked around and saw that the place was like a spacious living room, and went on to drag Zelos over to a couch and lay him down there.

Meanwhile, Azriel and Eloysio and caught sight of a table and chair set in the corner.

"Ah, there! That's perfect! Some blank parchment, the pen and ink...please set them up, arranging the sheets in a circle. I have some note-taking to do, and I hope to finish when the ride is over."

"Right away!" ^_^ She took said items out of her bag and set them as instructed in about a minute.

"Thank you. Oh, and you may now go on to return the Pact Rings to Sheena. I'm through examining them. Please send her my thanks as well." After the girl had bowed, turned, and went on her way, he took his wand hanging from his side and held it like he would a pen. The real pen nearby him glowed with a faint aura for a split second, then rose into the air, drifting over to the piece of parchment before Eloysio. As he began to make writing movements, the pen touched down and followed them.

"So how's Zelos?" User Image - Blocked by "Display Image" Settings. Click to show. Azriel asked as she approached Sheena and Colette. She was holding out the pouch of the former's Pact Rings, and once close enough, she handed them over. "Master Eloysio sends his thanks as well."

The ninja chief placed the pouch into a pack that hung off her side, then crossed her arms. "Hmph. He'll be fine. I'm sure he'll be back to his old self when he wakes up."
