[[Well, that's news to me. But as far as I'm concerned, it has always been guild policy to minimize the use of excess cursing because of the various audiences who are part of the guild. If there's some feature that allows members to control it themselves- the mods will talk about it. For now, please censor yourselves if your chars swear a lot. Use good judgement- you both have it. That's all I have to say.]]

[[Yeah, it's under 'account' and then under 'word filtering'. I have mine set to minimal filtering (aka, no filtering lawl) but you can go all the way up to strong filtering which essentially would **** out all curse and lots of other supposedly profane words. I just didn't realize the excessive cursing thing would be a problem when if someone would have a problem with it anyway that they would most likely have their filter set up. It was in several Gaian announcements so I'm sure a lot of people know about it so it might be something to consider.]]

((@Sona: Ah, alright. I also didn't think that it was too much of a problem because of a filtering. It might have been an issue with new members to gaia, but when you start out the word filtering is already on so I didn't think that that would be so much of an issue. Anyway, sorry, and yes I s'pose I'll be more discriminating with Ea's speech. xD;; ))
Liao glanced over towards Wei, a highly miffed expression on the teen's pale features. "...what? What made you think that?" he asked. At first, the teen's tone was simply surprised... but he slowly took on a note of slight anger in his voice as he continued. "Wei, first of all... I don't choose friends who do that stuff. And secondly, I'm not stupid enough to take anything even if my friends started... experimenting. I already know what alcohol can do to a person... and drugs are worse than that, right? I'm not... going to do that sort of thing....."
Liao turned away again, the flush in his cheeks dying down. What did Wei think of him?! Did he think that Liao was so stupid as to start doing drugs when the boy had so clearly seen the evidence of alcohol abuse in his mother? Had Wei already forgotten the bruises Liao had shown him? Maybe it hadn't been a big deal for the snake, but Liao had never voluntarilly showed those to anyone before. He'd never talked about it, not even with his best friends. Maybe that didn't mean anything to Wei, maybe the man thought that Liao was stupid.... Maybe Liao should just stop... thinking about it. He didn't want to be disapointed in the people around himself any more.
"Nevermind..." he mumbled slowly, his good mood seeming to have already rapidly disapeared. "It doesn't matter. I'm sure that getting chosen as the top contestant for an incredibly prestigious national competition -- one well known enough that if I win it, I could easily start playing professionally -- isn't such a big deal. It's certainly not something to be happy over," there was a clear note of bitterness in his voice this time. Liao hardly spoke this much but it appeared that the quick fluxuation in his mood had been enough to loosen his tongue -- to make him angry enough that he would actually speek instead of just closing himself off.

"I was just making sure, okay?" Wei retorted, instantly defending what he had asked. "I know how much stress you must be under with your performances and your family and everything. I just-- Okay? It's not a big deal I just wanted to make sure because they really ******** over your life big time," the snake attempted to explain, eyes still squarely on Liao, which probably wasn't the wisest idea when driving. "I used to act the same way as you, Kitten. I was really quiet all the time, I never let anyone know anything about me. Hell, I don't even think any of my so-called friends knew enough things about me to save their lives."
He didn't say anything for a while, green eyes flickering back towards the road. "I'm glad you're a better person than I was at your age," he commented in an almost distracted tone as snow padded against the wind shield. Had Wei been a more careful person he might be alarmed by the amount of snow that had accumulated on the winding roads. It took his several more minutes and a near skid to make him realize that the fresh snow was just a little too dangerous to be driving on. But even if Wei wanted to stop somewhere, there was nowhere to stop. The road just went on forever with a few houses scattered here and there. Where the hell was a parking lot when you needed one? Or a kindly old grandma who would let you stay the night and would feed you as many cookies as you wanted? Where was that rich, bratty sexaholic when you needed his connections?!
Sighing, Wei turned his head a little, "Tell me if you spot anywhere I can park that I don't--" He was going to say something about his bad eyesight but was cut off by the car jolting to a stop. He thought he heard a fainting cracking noise, like something in the distance, or hearing something through a tunnel almost. The snake could barely remember looking over to Liao and thinking just why his face felt so damn wet.
[[Damn it Wei, stop ******** up your car. >:C]]

((Sorry for taking sooooo long. I just wasn't sure what I wanted to have happen with Liao... D:
fmg, I'm so pissed right now. I was inking a page in my new comi and I accidently lined completely through this part that I shouldn't have.... TAT ))
So... that had been it. Wei had just been worried, had been... he had been trying to understand Liao's situation. The boy sighed slowly. Understandably, he felt quite horrible at the moment.... After all, he had gotten all angry over nothing.... well... now it was nothing. Then, however, there had been so many fierce emotions running through Liao... but now he felt oddly... empty. It was a hauntingly familiar feeling.
Wei was speeking again, this time about the road or some place to stop or something. Liao glanced up, about to reply, when something... happened. Something wrong... something bad. The car had jilted violently and then... pain. It hurt. What had happened... Liao wasn't quite sure. He thought he might have blacked out for a moment during the impact.... His chest hurt... like it was bruised.... but his seatbelt had been tight so he hadn't hit his head... but it had jerked his already bruised neck rather painfully....
But there was something more than that, something worse. Pale fingers travelled down the wooden case, flinching slightly at what they felt -- splinters. Now, Liao realised, he could feel sharp pricks of wood digging into his stomach... and his hands. His hands felt... wet. Liao winced at the pain. No... no, this couldn't be happening! His violin was bad enough, but his hands?! No... if it was something severe... he might... might never be able to play again.......
The small teen drew in a shaky breath. "W-Wei.... what... h-happened?"
((Jeez, Tato, you and all your ambiguous so-called descriptions, making me infer things.... D<
So is it the battery or the gas?))

[[You killed Liao's violin and his hands!? :C Gaia ate my post. I was so ********' close to being finished. T__T I just went to preview it to look for typos and baaaah~ Damn you, Gaia.]]
Wei didn't know how long it took him to answer. Part of him hoped it had only been a few minutes since Liao had spoken--asked him a question, rather--and the other part of him was too dazed to care. He had been driving, headed into a curve. There had been a downgrade and then... and then he wasn't sure what had happened. Something had given out and his car was now pressed up against metal railing, the snake noted as green eyes sluggishly trailed outside as snow continued to pad the pavement.
"What do you think happened?" He asked finally in return, lifting his head a little, wincing sharply as he did so. Pressing fingers against his forehead, the snake cursed in a scrunched, hissed sort of voice that clearly expressed pain. "<********>," he whispered as he pulled his hand away to reveal the wetness as blood. So he had hit his head somewhere in the mix? It didn't really surprise him with how much it hurt.
"Are you okay?" He asked slowly, just barely, almost gingerly, moving his head towards the kitten.

((His violin is dead.... but he's just overreacting to his hands. They're scratched up a bunch on the palms so there's quite a bit of blood, but it's nothing actually major....))
Liao didn't answer Wei's question. He was too obsorbed with the sight of glistening, black blood that just barely shone in the darkness.... The moon's glow reflected off of it, making it just barely visible. But Liao didn't need to see it to know. The boy shivered slowly, feeling a new wetness -- different from the one at his hands.
Unthinkingly, he raised his hands to wipe away at that wetness. Tiny rubbies that had been turned to liquid obsidian in the darkness fell, leaving tiny tear-shaped wetnesses upon the boy's clothing. Pale, bloody fingers wiped away at his face -- at the bit of tears that had formed there. But the tears kept coming. It was the second time he had cried in front of Wei and he hated it... really hated it.
And yet he couldn't help it. The tears kept coming and in a way he was greatful to them because they were about the only source of warmth in the steadily cooling car..... But he still hated them. He wiped at them again, feeling more sticky, red blood stain his pale features. He grimaced. It felt so... so wrong, so bad.... so sticky and... gross.
"I.... I... I'm alright," he stammered in response, his voice barely more than a whisper. He was so confuzed... so hurt.... His violin......

[[Oh okay. :<]]
"Good."
Holding a hand up to his forehead, the snake winced before groping around for his cell phone. Flipping open and dialing the phone with one hand, Wei muttered a curse under his breath as he called the police. It took a few minutes, but Wei had somehow managed telling the officer where they were and what sort of condition the two were in. It took a while for a medical team and the police to arrive, but once everything had been checked out the two were let go with a stiff warning to consult a doctor in the morning, but for now neither seemed to be in dire need to see one. And so the situation ended with Wei sporting a heavy amount of gauze and bandages wrapped around his head and several bandages wrapped around the kitten's hands.
The police officer drove them back to Ea's apartment. The snake didn't really care if the teen was trying to decorate, there was no way he was getting stranded again. "Thanks," the younger man murmured, holding a hand to his head as he shook the officer's hand with his free hand.
"Come on," he said to Liao as he led the kitten up to Ea's place. He vaguely remembered where the mongoose lived, but somehow he managed. It was something of a miracle, really. Knocking at the door, the snake waited with a dreaded feeling for Ea to open the door.

((And neither do I so I'm skippadoodling onward~!))
Everything seemed a bit of a haze to the small teen. Wei's voice as he made the call, the wait for the police, the drive back... It was all dim and muddled together in a mush of slightly fuzzy images and neutralized colors.... The lights were bright, though, even if everything else seemed to be tinged with gray......
As they stopped in front of Ea's door, Liao only just barely stopped himself from running into the door. He really wasn't too conscious at the moment.....
Wei knocked and there were noises from inside -- loud ones -- and then....
"Eric, no, you bloody b*****d!" It was Ea -- just as bad-tempered and loud-mouthed as usual. "Get your hands off -- off. I have to get the friggin' do--" There was a sound of shuffling -- like some sort of minor scuffle -- and Ea muttering some cuss words "under his breath," the slight laughter of a man who seemed to be slightly older (or at least larger) and then a loud thud. A few moments later, the door opened to reveal a very bad-tempered and distinctly ruffled-looking Ea.
But the scowl on his lips soon turned to a look of surprise as his obsidian orbs fell upon the bandages of Wei's head and... Liao's hands.
"W-what happened to you too?!" Ea stammered, looking slightly shaken. "C-come in.... Here, do you need anything--or--?" Really, it was quite uncharacteristic of Ea... but he was worried -- really worried. There was Liao -- oh gods, he would never forgive Wei if something really bad had happened! -- but also... he was.... worried about Wei. Why, he didn't know... but he was and because he was so surprised he had no choice but to accept that worry for what it was rather than trying to disguise it.
Ea turned back, black eyes falling upon a man who was very tall and very blond. "Eric, you s**t, go get something for them!" Ea hissed, doing his best to cover up the slight shaking of his hands. He really was very worried.

Wei's grip on the back of Liao's shirt tightened. He had been guiding the kitten, making sure he didn't fall over from pure shock, but it seemed that Wei's conflicting thoughts were coming through. Maybe they shouldn't have come here. He didn't have to drag Ea in all of this. Besides, wasn't he going to be pissed when he found out what happened? That Wei had hurt his precious little brother, even if it had been completely unintentional. Really, what was Ea supposed to do? Take care of them? The guy was barely legal and... God, Wei was dumb. If this was one time to admit to that it would be the perfect time. Wei was god damn stupid for bringing himself and the kitten here. He should have gone home. He should have taken Liao to the hospital.
Green eyes flickering to something non-human as the snake stepped forward as Ea screeched something at...some b*****d. Why did he have to yell so loud? Who was that stupid blond anyway? And why the ********-- Okay, he really didn't need to be thinking about this right now, Wei mused as his grip loosened just slightly as he pressed a hand against the kitten's back.
"The snow and my car happened. ********' slid into some railing. I thought we were closer to your house than mine so..." His voice trailed off. For once he didn't feel like talking to Ea. For once Wei felt sick around him (or was it just his head playing tricks on him?)

Wei was... gripping tightly. At least it was only his shirt (or mostly, that was) so it didn't really hurt or anything, but... but it was an uneasy feeling, even if the man was helping him to stand up. That didn't last too long, though. Shooting Eric a look that clearly said "if you don't start being useful then I'm kicking you out," he walked the orange-haired boy over to the sofa and sat him down slowly.
"Are you alright?" he asked, pressing a hand lightly against the boy's forehead. No fever -- good. The boy had only just been sick so waiting in the cold might have made him relapse.... They would just have to be careful, wouldn't they?
"Did they treat your hands properly? Did they use anti-septic?" he asked. Liao nodded wearilly. Those black orbs with fixed with such an intense and loving concern that it was hard to believe that this was Ea at all.... "Do you need anything? Something calming to drink? Warm milk or water or... tea, maybe?" he asked. The boy paused a moment and then murmured, "...milk." Ea nodded slowly and then, without even bothering to look up, he said (this time in a normal voice), "Eric, heat up some milk... Wei, is there anything you want?"
Surprisingly enough, Ea's initial reaction was nothing near anger -- just concern. He loved Liao too much not to care for him immediately when the boy was in such a condition. And he was worried about Wei, too.....
Liao frowned slowly. "Ea, your hands are shaking....." he murmured, his brow furrowed slightly. Black eyes widened and Ea was left silent for several moments before he finally replied, "I... ah, it's nothing.... Just don't worry me like that again...." Liao nodded slowly, gray eyes downcast.

"No."
He could've used a blanket or something but he didn't want to look like a pansy. Besides, just because he couldn't exactly retain a human form didn't mean there was anything wrong. He was just tired...and when he got this tired his body just didn't seem to like his god awful human traits. His own instincts forced him into something with higher senses and superior characteristics for protective purposes. However, he couldn't go around with enlarged fangs and slitted pupils with a human gallivanting around.
"I'm just going to go make a few calls," Wei murmured, wobbling a bit as he straightened up from his spot against the wall. Heading outside into the hallway, the snake crumpled against the wall, resting his head on his knees as he dialed. It was pretty late, but Wei knew there was no way Benji was in bed unless he was sick.
"H-hello?" The bird croaked in a completely tired fashion. "Wei, is that you? Why're you calling me so late...?" The slightly younger man sounded as he were only half awake and bound to fall asleep at any moment, certainly not in the condition to have a conversation.
"Nevermind, jus' go back to sleep. I'll call you tomorrow."
Promises of future calls never meant anything good. Sounding more alert, Benji continued quickly. "No, what is it? What's wrong?"
"Nothing really, I ******** over my car. I went back to Ea's place, I don't know why. He freaking out over Liao, which doesn't surprise me..."
"Do you want me to come ge--"
"No, it's fine. I jus' needed to talk to someone."

((But Eric isn't human? D: ))
Ea continued to fuss over Liao, checking everything he could think of (without undressing the teen, that is) to make sure the boy was alright before he finally allowed himself to heave a small sigh. The milk was ready -- fortunately, Eric actually knew how to do that sort of thing so he hadn't burned it or anything. Ea took the mug of warm milk and gently held it to the boy's lips. Here, Liao allowed a small frown to wrinkle across his brow. "I can drink it myself, Ea..." the boy murmured.
Ea looked up with a start, a bright flush spreading across his cheeks. "Y-yah... of course you can, because you're alright..." He gave the other a small smile, though he still looked rather shaken..... "I'll just... I'll go check on Wei, then...." Liao nodded slowly and watched as the ivory-haired male departed.
Once outside, it was easy enough to catch Wei. Even if the man had been hidden, he smelled so strongly of snake that Ea would have found him easily. "Wei...." he murmured slowly. "You okay? What... happened?" Ea hadn't noticed the phone yet -- it was on the other side, obscured by Wei. Pale hands slowly clenched and unclenched against the material of his shirt. Even if he didn't want to be, even if he didn't want to show it, he was so, so worried of him.... about Wei. Ea bit his lip slightly, pale brow furrowed above those dark eyes.

[[Poor Wei doesn't have any sense of smell for that sort of thing so I guess he doesn't know? aka, I didn't know?? XDD]]
The snake looked up at the sound, instantly regretting it. Closing his eyes would do him no good, Ea could smell just how unhuman he was at the moment, Wei assumed with a hint of frown. "Yeah, I know," the snake said suddenly into the phone, his expression lifting just a bit as he laughed, "Don't worry Mother Hen, scrambled brains never hurt anyone. Okay, maybe a few but I'm o-- I'll just talk to you later," he continued before murmuring something close to 'night' and closed the phone resolutely.
Looking back up with a sigh, the snake shrugged a little. "I don't really even know how it happened exactly. I was lookin' for some place to park because the snow had picked up and... and then I-- I don't know Liao was asking me something...err, I don't know I can't really remember now. He asked me something and...it just happened so fast I don't even know to explain it. He's fine though, I think he just needs to sleep or something," he added, deliberately not answering Ea's other question. He was fine. Fine enough anyway.

((fmg, sorry for disapearing. Life's been hectic. @_@;; ))
Ea nodded slowly, that small frown persisting on his lips. He didn't like hoe Wei avoided his question... it made him feel more uneasy than a simple "no" would have because just avoiding it meant he was trying to hide it..... Which was worse. Ea didn't yet know Wei well enough to tell if he was usually the sort to deny such things, but he had rather thought that Wei would just go out and say it, maybe in the hopes of getting Ea to do something..... Or perhaps that was just Ea's excess baggage from previous--
No. This wasn't a serious relationship. It was just... fun. Of course, it wasn't as if Ea ever really had serious relationships.... but... but they were usually at least more serious than this.... maybe.
Ea frowned again, a dull flush coloring his cheeks as his dark eyes studied the other's features. "Yeah, Liao looks alright. But what about you? Don't you know what a bastardly thing it is to just avoid my questions when I'm---" Ea had started out strong, arms crossed protectively over his chest, his tone and expression hiding his anciousness as best they could. But then he had gone and said... begun to say.... something stupid. He wasn't worried about Wei, he wasn't!! Except that he was.....
"....nevermind...." the teen muttered under his breath, pale brows furrowing over dark eyes as his cheeks flushed a bright crimson. He couldn't meet the other's bright-eyed gaze any more......
