Umm i haven't read tsubasa since well they were in pifle world so i don't really know. But i do hate how people go on about how the anime sucks. I mean of course it wouldn't be better than the manga but still the exaggerate how the plot is stupid and filled with fillers, and yet i bet you at least half of them are were so happy watching Naruto(thank god sasuke's back). I personally love the Anime, and found season 2 even better than season one. I donno it was less angsty for me. One more thing (i might get flamed for this) I HATE the manga art. I actually found the anime art better.

I personally love the Anime, and found season 2 even better than season one. I donno it was less angsty for me. One more thing (i might get flamed for this) I HATE the manga art. I actually found the anime art better. oh dear. you will be flamed, i must say. sweatdrop if anything, though, the manga art has changed..alot. so perhaps you cannot say the same anymore? i dont know. as i dont particularly want to come across as a bias(though i am, really), evil little fangirl with no wish to listen to other people's opinions, ill try to type this reply calmly and with reason. perhaps its just me, but i'd say the anime art was a little...how to say it, strange? im not sure what the right word for it would be. but the expressions and voices in various situations seemed to highly differ in degrees. for example, the face would look semi calm, while the seiyuus would shout, scream, panick, whatever with...much more expression, i'd say. IMO, i think the two should have an equal balance, have the same level of emotion and what not. other wise it'll just turn out as strange, or funny in terms of parody. sweatdrop (simply put, the animations were too soft. they didnt express well.) though it may be most likely because of the budgets and/or variety of artists working on the animation, the art of the anime seemed quite inconsistant, undetailed, and somewhat bad at times. (its true that this occurs in various anime, but this applies too often in tsubasa.) -sakura .

Can't say which I like better, because I've only read the manga and seen rarely of the anime. Oh well, I'm going with manga!

I like the anime because I've seen more of it but it doesn't have any episodes with a drunk Sakura. 4laugh They should put that kinda stuff in the anime to break the tension, and it just makes the whole thing funnier in a serious moment. cheese_whine

I personally am accepting of both. I love the music for the anime, as well as the animation and the chibi side-story episode was a cute plus.
The manga, in itself, is gorgeous. No two ways about it.

Though the anime seemed alright at first, I absolutely HATED the fact most of it was filler after a point, and totally swerved off the manga (AND ENDED STUPIDLY). I also think the animation could have been better-- there were a few scenes that just seemed really... 'ew' to me, I guess --and I dislike Bee-Train for being jerks to CLAMP anyhow. I definitely preferred the Tsubasa movie's designs and script (since CLAMP wrote the script to it themselves~ :3), and even though the movie lacked in length (waay too short for me) and was somewhat cheesy, I LOVED the character development, and the dialogue between them all (especially Kurogane and Fai).
If the anime had kept to the manga, seemed more up to par, and wasn't by Bee-Train and was instead at least MANAGED by I.G. productions, I might have liked it all the way through. The only thing I appreciate about the anime is the voice actors (<3), the music/OST/compositions used, and some of the animation. Specific scenes. I was disappointed, however, by the lack of effort on some of my favorite worlds that the gang went to, and that just made me sosad. :{
So, if you can't tell already, I totally 100% prefer the manga. ..Angstier by far, it's further along in the TRUE story, it's ACCURATE, beautiful, and I like manga better most of the time anyhow (I may be biased?) Plus, I find one's imagination absorbs more (for me anyways), and you can always play the anime's soundtrack while reading. :3 Bonus~.
I cannot wait for the Tsubasa OAD, though. ...Hoooboy. Produced by CLAMP and I.G., same voice actors, Kamui and Subaru~!, ACID TOKYO!, GORE AND BLOOD AND ANGST AND... all scripted by CLAMP. NOW THAT is Tsubasa kaythanks.
