((back))
Colonel Luo Agagisan sighed. He was fully dressed in armor with a sword tied to his waist and a pipa in his arms. "I'm going to check on the ship and practice firebending. That old chief is strict with his rules." He walked out the door and approached the ship. He climbed up a rope ladder to the deck, then entered his room. He took off his armor and equipment and placed some candles in a circle on the floor. Then he sat down in the middle, Indian style. He gave small firebending strokes at each of the candles, lighting them. He sat at the middle, inhaling and exhaling, watching as the candle's fire waxed and waned. He compare it to the moon.

"I am worried. Hawkie should be back!" Ria ran to the boat. She gave Luo the candy, and sat. "Luo, I sent hawkie to the South pole. Somthing tells me he is in trouble. I am sending my grandmother's hawk." she stood up, and ate some of the candy.

Luo Agagisan exhaled and left the candle flame like that. "Relax. Why did you send Hawkie to the South Pole in the first place?" He took some of the candy and ate it. "Perhaps it died of old age?" he suggested. He tried not to make Ria unhappy.

Luo Agagisan exhaled and extinguish all the flames except for one, which he placed on top of a table. "Are you okay, Ria? I heard some waterbenders can heal themselves... I have some bandages in this chest here..." He sighed and sat on his bed. "Why do you hate the South Pole so much? I forgot to ask this, but why did you try to kill that South Pole chief?"

Luo opened the drawer and took out some bandages. He handed them to Ria. "What kind of rivalry? And that doesn't answer why you try to kill the Southern Water Tribe chief. I don't want him to think we're causing trouble."

Luo Agagisan's eyes saddened as he remembered memories of the man stabbing her. "What happened? Was she in an arranged marriage?" He recalled reading that the Water Tribe often had arranged marriages. He would chuckle that even though the other nations often looked down at the Fire Nation, the Fire Nation had better human rights, especially women rights, than the other nations, except for the Air Nomads perhaps.
