'Challenge everything and never give up your rebellious nature.'

Rose watched as Dark struggled to get up, too distracted at the moment to help him any. She had suddenly become to feel very tired, weak. However, she doubted that it was just simple fatigue from the late hour that was making her feel this way. But what was making her feel this way, what was happening? Looking around, she noticed that other people that lived here were looking a little ill themselves, a fact that she hadn't noticed before she supposed. So it's something that's happening to WillBe, she realized slowly, or guessed rather since she didn't actually know if this were true or not. I swear this is the worst town to ever move too, why am I still here? she asked herself, even though she already knew the answer: It was better than the life she had run away from, even if you seemed to be in constant danger here. Better and more exciting this way too, she thought.

Chela's voice snapped her out of her thoughts and memories of the past that were beginning to surface; memories being something that she'd probably like to keep out of her head. She mentally shook the lingering thoughts about what was happening away and said to Chela, "Yeah, sure." Rose went over to the side of Dark that was opposite of Chela and grasped his arm lightly, avioding the worst of the injury, to where he was a little more balanced. Rose thought for a minute of where to go with him. She briefly thought of her house, but it was quite a few blocks away from where they now stood. While they could probably make it there, it would take a bit of time to reach. She thought about places between here and there that they could take Dark to. This is where it would pay to actually look at what kinds of buildings you pass when you walk the streets, Rose, she metally scolded herself. Still thinking, she asked Chela, "Do you know of any place we could take him that's fairly close by?"

Kimi was currently laying upon the old bench, she felt awful. “Perhaps I need to get further away” She whispered softly though trying to get the energy to do so was becoming very hard. “Ha…maybe I drunk something I shouldn’t of” She smiled despite her situation.
With shaking limbs she pushed herself up onto her feet “As if I can simply lay still and await whatever is going to happen”

Kimi glanced around her current location, she had not gotten that far away from the ball at all. It was probably due to her current bad eyesight and the fact that the music seemed distant. As she turned her back to the scene she heard people panicking, where they running? Had they started to feel what she was at this moment? Or was she simply imagining it in a delusional her state? She did not know the answers nor would she want to stick around to ask. But then something seemed to keep her rooted to the floor.

“Damn my nature” Kimi growled lowly while removing her dress and placing it on the bench. She struggled, and for the first time in years it was painful to morph forms. But she managed, her huge sandy wolf form was frightening to most mortals and that is what she would use to scare them away from the ball. The loud sound of thudding on dry earth seemed to echo in the midnight air. With each stride back to the ball she felt worse and worse. But for once in her life she will do a good deed worthy of any gods approval. She had made friends for the first time in years, though she may not trust them completely, she had to help get them out of there.

When she arrived some people where already leaving the ball moaning about their weakened state of mind and body. But they where quick to jump aside when she went past them. She heard some mutter Was, did they think she was one? “Good” She thought before gathering what little strength of hers that remained and jumped other the crowed of dancers. People who saw her screamed. Kimi in turn let out a low growl. The music was dieing down by now just what she needed to be honest. She raced up the main staircase and let out a loud mournful howl, one that would send the hearts of animals racing in fear. She then raised her hackles and puffed out her fur, her mouth pulled back and she bared her teeth menacingly.
“I hope this works” She thought now feeling the extreme effects of what was happening. Her eyes rolled in her head which she shook.

People on the floor screamed and pointed towards her before scampering outside. She noticed a few motionless bodies and knew they had died. “Ok time for me to leave” She braced herself and lunged from the staircase towards the centre of the floor, snapping at people as she went just to get her message across and to complete her act. Her eyes momentarily lingered on one particular blurry outline of a tall guy, she recognised his scent but it was hard to really think about it. With another howl she staggered back outside and towards the willow to collect her dress.

~Nila Shyama~

Nila looked at Shin and took a couple of steps backward after seeing him start to make fire again, mostly because she wanted to watch. "Wow," she said, "you just...that never gets old." She said. "You continue to amaze me," she giggled. She watched as Shin went back to his bed, and became a bit more serious. "Say...Shin...if you're....not so fond of of humans, then...why have you been so kind to me?" She smiled to show she didn't mean anything bad with the question. She was simply curious.

Zero

"Oh is that all, it's much better than a dark alley." Zero nodded, though he was confused. Listening to war stories? There's gotta be a law about that... He wondered if Rose had helped Dark survive yet, or would they need his help. Rosey? Can you hear me? He tried to contact her because through all those times, he, Dark, and Rose had established some form of mental link as he'd learned, but the drained soul thing made the connection weaker.

Clay Rutherford User Image

That was about it. He could wait no more. Everyone who could have left was starting to. All Clay could see at this point were large, shifting blurs making their way towards the door. Be it because of him, or, anything else, he was grateful.

Groaning quietly and pressing a hand to his stomach, in an attempt to quell the unbearable aching feeling he had, Clay fell to a knee. He felt as if he was going to die. He just might. The release looked promising. He lifted his head to look around. Less blobs than before, plus, there was one, in the very center of the room, that seemed... Smaller. The other blobs were moving and running away from it. An animal...? Too dificult to think.

Get up, a voice whispered in the back of his mind. Get up. This time it was a little louder. Clay didn't move. "No... There's no reason." A twisting in his gut. It was as if the voice inside had launched a punch straight to his stomach. Talk about kicking someone when they're down. Only this time, it was more like kicking himself. It was a long pause before the voice called back. What about your friends?

Clay's eyes shot open and, for an instant, everything became sharper, more defined. It didn't last. The voice was right. He could die, but he had to make sure the ones he knew were alright first. Yeah... It'd be selfish of him to die before doing that. "I've gotta get out of here... I've got to get out of here!"

With renewed vigor, Clay shakily stood, stumbling a step, but able to keep his balance. Finally pulling his hand away from his stomach, he noticed that it was dripping wet. His shirt and coat had melted completely. He would have laughed at the irony if he could. His pants weren't far off from ending up as no more than a puddle, either. He had to get out.

Focusing every last bit of energy he had to ensure he wouldn't end up completely naked, Clay slowly, but surely, made his way out of the ball room, moving as far away as he could in with what energy he had.

"Life is meaningless only if we allow it to be. Each of us has the power to give life meaning, to make our time and our bodies and our words into instruments of love and hope."

The man led her inside then took off his cape and mask. "Please make yourself at home." he quietly went into the other room to grab something. Riina sat down in one of the comfy chairs by the fireplace. Her mind began to wander about what was making her sick at the masquerade. She was so in her thoughts she didn't realize that the nice man was sneaking up behind her till it was too late. She heard a creak in the floorboard and as she spun around, a dagger went straight through her heart. The last thing she saw was the man's evil eyes and smile. "One less Is to worry about!" he said with an evil laugh.

Luna Thorn ~

User Image - Blocked by "Display Image" Settings. Click to show.
Luna was laying in the middle of the barren farmland she had been deposited in, her head foggy and feeling as if she had just been beaten pretty badly and was waking from being knocked out. She stirred and her eyes fluttered open. Dust swirled around her, flying in her eyes, and she sat up, looking around her, her expression one of shock. Where was she? What had happened? The last thing she remembered was being in IS headquarters... and even that memory was a faint one...

She rubbed her eyes to get rid of the dirt, and raised a hand, creating a shield of wind around her in a sort of bubble to fight off the dirt swirling around. She felt hungry and sore, and her eyes were a dull black. She sat there, looking around to see the barren wasteland around her and... a huge fortress. The fortress seemed to be surrounded by a large wall and there wasn't even a way to get in through the top - it was enclosed. She looked at it in wonder, only then realizing there was what seemed to be a castle floating above her in the sky. She gasped slightly, looking up in amazement, and bringing a hand up to cover her mouth. What was this place? What had happened to her? ...

She couldn't seem to make herself move, and just stared in wonder, the dust swirling around her shield as she stared. She just didn't know what to do. She had never been faced with a situation like this. It was almost as if she had been taken to another time. But... that wasn't possible. And if it was... why? Why was this happening to her...?

Harold "Harry" Jackson

User Image

Harry had been very calm, repressing his shiver from the thrill of magic and hold Chey's hand, leading her away. And suddenly it felt as if he was struck by lightening. He looked rather stupid, his spine straight, jaw tight and every single muscle clenched in his blue suit and top hat. In a single flash, his cane clattered to the ground and the small demon that had been coming to find him about the spike in magic panicked and fluttered before disappearing to find the Arch Fiends.

Harry lay, flat on his back and in the gray of cloudy light he opened his eyes. He groaned and his back arched as the magic surged through his body from the leftover magical rush. Oh. Oh. Now that was power. It tasted like chocolate. His stomach rolled as he tried to stand up and he splattered his last meal all over the dust. "Moving. Very very bad idea."

He felt weird. No. Not weird. Old. When was the last time he had felt old? It had been a while. Holding his head in his hands, Harry let out a groan. Dust. He could feel every grain in his hair (his hat lay on its side, forgotten by its owner) and as it coated his clothes, running any chance he could return it. He looked up and squinted. What in all the nine hells was going on?

A smallish winged red-skinned demon, who was often called Dev, sighed. People were so . . . boring now-a-days. He missed the old days. He felt a tingling in the back of his mind. One of his old paroles was back. It was. . .?! "Holy s**t. Teleport." With a small poof that left a whisp of smoke and a flutter of wings he dropped in close. "Harry! We were wondering when you would be dropped back here?" 500 years without even a warning. How rude but it wasn't his fault of course. No one saw that much magic coming.

Dev dodged the hand of the old, sleepy and hurting magic man. "G'way. Sick. Was I summoned?" Harry looked around. This didn't look like hell but it felt like he had just been summoned to a different plane of existence. That always hurt.

The demon shook his head. "No. Not at all. You are currently 500 years in the future and I wouldn't look up. The guards might take notice of you." He gave a grin only a devil can give. "By the way Harry, welcome to the future."

It had been years since their trip to the town of Willbe. The lone village
in the middle of nowhere had changed, and this was just them looking
at it from a while away. The floating castle was new, and so was
the wall.
"Do they not want us?" Grell said alloud.

Will sighed heavily, "How do I always get stuck with this idiot?" he
questioned not caring the Grell could hear him.
The air was hot and it didn't help that
they were both wearing coats. Even being there for only a few minutes
had made Will's syth hot. The metal's heat could be felt through the
glove he was wearing. Will looked at Grell, who was in red, then down
at himself, he was in black.

‘If souls had a price, I would steal yours’

Peaceful, that was the first word that sprang to a semi conscious mind. In the midst of the warm breeze that stroked across Kimi’s skin, it was the only word that seemed to fit. Her eyes remained firmly shut not wanting to open then in case she had to experience the pain that she had felt not to long ago. But of course she had no idea that 500 years have past by, the world has shifted and changed into something that seems beyond belief.

Kimi had only just finished getting dressed 500 years previously, before falling to the floor as her life seemed to ebb away. It was the worst she had ever felt, or so she thought before her body seemed to be jolted with a powerful force, a force that tore at her soul and felt as though it had shredded her skin. Then there was darkness, and now she was sure that she had died.

“So…is this what happens? What do I do now? Should I open my eyes and face the sins of my past?” Kimi whispered to herself. “I guess even if I had run from my past, it had to stop somewhere” With a deep shuddering breath she opened her sore dry eyes. Only to come face to face with a rather cloudy sky. “Cloudy…” She whispered her voice was rough and her throat sore. Her fingers twitched and moved on the ground that she lay on “Sand?…fine grain dirt?” She felt awful and tired.

After spending some time contemplating her current situation Kimi pushed herself of the ground. Her once beautiful blue dress was tattered and covered in sand. Her curly hair was a mess but she did not care. Looks was never a strong portray of hers, and at this moment there was much more pressing matters. “Am I dead?” She repeated. “I am in hell” She noted placing a finger to her chin, the reason she had come to this conclusion was because of the waste land she was currently standing in. Not a sign of water anywhere nor of life. But that was until she spotted a fortress or horrifying proportions. “Where the hell am I?”

The officials never answered Gerzen. They wouldn't have the chance. The Was known as Malice charged them as soon as he realized Gerzen was distracted. In a climactic collision, Malice's sword met with an invisible shield as he attempted to slay the robed figures. The shield rippled from the point of impact-like a pebble to a pond-causing the energies therein to become disrupted. A bright light appeared over the cauldron much to the robed figures' horror.

"It's become unstable! We can't control the spell!" One cried as he began backing away.

A sudden gust filled the chamber as the light began forming a vortex. Gerzen raised an arm to shield his eyes as he turned back to Eos.

"Eos, grab my hand!" He screamed as he reached for her.

It was to no avail. The gust picked up sharply and began pulling Gerzen away from her. Struggle though he might, his hand would never reach her in time. With a final sweep of wind, Gerzen became airborne and swirled around the chamber's exterior as he rose towards the ceiling. A bright flash from below filled the chamber, and then...nothing...

Gerzen would awake to a new landscape entirely-every inch of dirt foreign to him and those who came with him.

Damian had walked the path Dimitri ran up until he saw Lilleth there looking at her as she ran from sight, Damian then looked at Lilleth with some confusion in his expression. "What are you doing down ther-" Damian's words were cut off when he saw a seagreen glow surround him, and the whole area town included. Everything went pitch black after that as if Damian was knocked unconscious, and where ever he was, there he stayed dormient.

~@~

Five hundred years of his coma like sleep Damian could feel his clothes blowing in the wind again. He was laying on his stomach with his arms up beside his head bet around slightly, the right side of his head was on the ground and his hood was protecting his face as his capes were blowing in the wind. Re-opening his eyes to this new landscape Damian slowly pushed himself up by using his arms and legs, getting on all four legs in the process. Standing up slowly, Damian rubbed his head with his right hand as he looked at the sandy ground, Damian then put his hand down back to his side looking up at the surrounding area.

Twisting his head to the right Damian began to scan the landscape that he landed in. This place made Damian question himself on how long he rested and where he awoke. "What the heck?" Damian said sharply looking to the left and then looking at the land behind him. All he saw was sand and the tiny tops of the trees and something building like to the right, both those things were equally miles from his current position. Confusion, and slight fear were the two biggest emotions seen on Damian's facial expression as he continued to try to comprehend where he was, and remember what happened that day.

"My name is Issac Niall..."

"But call me Zero please."

Zero yawned as he woke up in a very dusty landscape. "What the heck happened to me?" He grabbed his head, he felt like he'd been stepped on. Everything looked different to him, barren and pretty much dusty. "Wait a second..." Zero looked around and saw a giant fortess, and far above it, a giant rock. Not only that, but he saw the ground was farther under him. And blades were attached to his person, along with a change of clothes that seemed to different than his originals. "Something very wrong us happening..." He would have been older, if it weren't for him being part vampire, his age was halted when he hit twenty or so. He was unaware that this was five hundred years later. "I've got to figure out what's happened to Willbe, Riddian, Rose, Dark, everything." He said, grabbing the cross on his neck.

"Forgotten worlds left behind by him, he searches once again for those places."

Moments before falling into an unconscious state, Aeora witnessed one of, if not the greatest of the great, displays of power she could recall. No doubt the power these hooded figures conjured was far too great for them to understand, let alone control, as their panicked shouting soon confirmed. Aeora took a step back from the scene, though immediately knew it would be to no avail to escape what was coming.

She glanced at the three others around her, one which futilely attempted to halt the ceremony and then equally as futilely protect the other woman present, and then Aeora began to rise. A great wind borne of old magic took her into the air of the ceremonial chamber. Eyes wide as she neared the top of the room, Aeora prepared to use Videre to pass through the ceiling, but found that she was unable. She raised her arms, perhaps attempting to shield her face from the apparently inevitable collison, but then there was a great blue flash - voices screamed, but the blow never came.

---

The screams echoed in Aeora's ears for a time, but eventually even that faded into a great darkness. For a moment, Aeora believed that she had been forced into the eternal slumber of those of the Dier who take it upon themselves to make room for new arrivals in the clan. Was such a thing possible? For a moment, Aeora knew fear.

"The great sleep..." Aeora said to herself, and was surprised when she heard her own voice. Vivid violet eyes flew open and witnessed a beautiful sight - a bland cloudy sky. It was beautiful as an alternative to eternal sleep, in Aeora's mind.

For a moment she simply stared at the sky, still feeling the remnants of the great force which took her away from the chamber and those others who had witnessed the magic's releasal. Aeora's eyes set at the memory. The chamber. At curiousity's demand, Aeora rose her head off of what she noted was dead and dusty earth. Taking in the large expanse of equally barren landscape around her, she also noticed that on one side loomed a great forest, and on the other an even greater man-made wall. Aeora did not mind the sight of the forest, however ominous, for it reminded her of a forest she knew in a dream.

"No, that wasn't a dream at all." Aeora whispered to herself. She didn't mind talking to herself when there were no other beings around- Oh, she noticed. There were other beings around, also on the barren landscape. She looked around, noticing but two in her immediate vicinity, at the present time. One seemed to be female, in a ripped up dress, (Kimi), and the other a man (Gerzen) whom at first glance Aeora remembered in the same way she recalled the forest - as if from a dream. After a moment spent thinking on it, she believed that he was also in the chamber, though she was not certain of this. He seemed familiar in a different way as well, though at the moment Aeora could not place why. There was possibly another being or two present, but Aeora became distracted before she could look at them further.

At this point the final fingers of magic leftover in her body began to leave her, and Aeora experienced this with a sigh of relief. It was dark magic, ancient magic, and it unsettled Aeora in the very core of her being, but it did so in such a way as a subtle poison creeping into the crevasses of her consciousness.

Aeora closed her eyes, still sitting on the ground, attempting to center herself before thinking more on her situation or examining her surroundings further.

Eos...Come back... Gerzen's voice echoed in his mind. Where...Where am I? What...happened...?

His hand twitched and the elf became aware of his physical body once more. The hand was brushing against a rough, grainy substance. Earth? Inhaling, Gerzen's nostrils took in the scent of soil and ash.

"Eos!" He screamed as he suddenly jolted upright.

This was met with a most unpleasant stabbing pain in his chest. As he cried out in agony, his arms hugged his torso in an attempt to ease the pain. Unknown to him, the magics that brought him to this time and place were lingering still. Like an invisible hand withdrawing from his chest, the magic was taking its own time in dissipating. Beads of sweat formed on Gerzen's brow as he struggled through the magics final moments. With a final jolt of his chest, the hand left him and the pain began to ebb away.

For quite some time, Gerzen remained where he was, panting heavily as he recovered from the traumatic event. A gentle breeze blew over him, filling his mouth with dust and his nostrils with ash. When he had at last recovered, the young man cautiously looked around in case he aroused any more "injuries".

"Where...Where am I...?" He asked hesitantly. "What happened to Willbe? And the chamber...?"

Images of that night that seemed to have happened ages ago coursed through his mind. The councilmen in their robes...

"That green-eyed demon..." Gerzen growled to himself remembering all too clearly those vivid green eyes.
