Alti wasn't about to... heal Haar to the point where he himself would be falling down out of sheer exhaustion -- he wasn't quite that stupid yet. But it had felt... transelike. That sensation of easing, passing energy was so... addictive. It had almost gotten the teen into a stupor. Therefor, when the other suddenly took his hand firmly, the dark-haired boy blinked slowly, his eyes foggy from what seemed to be some sort of daze. "Nnnn... you're welcome," he murmured back, looking distinctly less energized than he had before. He was still feeling good, though, and getting sleep would cure him of even that bit of fatigue. It was nothing at all serious, to put it shortly.
It took him several moments to notice that... Haar's hand was still on top of his. A slight flush peppered his cheeks and he snatched his hand back down into his lap at the same time Haar removed his own, larger, appendage. He kept his eyes firmly away from the other, the tension easing slightly with the arrival of their food. The waitress beamed at them all -- but at Red in particular -- and booty-swished her way to her next table.
The food smelled... incredibly good. Alti hadn't eaten in quite some time and his eyes followed the arrival of his plate hungrily. "Mmmm, looks good," he commented as he unfolded his napkin and began to tuck in. Red nodded in response and began his own meal -- and the restaurant held up perfectly to its reputation.
((Anything to do with 'caring' is mentally replaced by 'stupid' in Alti's brain. 8D;;; ))

[[Bootay-swished. New verb! I just ate a vitamin, usually I have them with a meal but...eh, I didn't this time and my stomach is all like, "DO NOT WANT." T____T;; Time skip?? D:]]
Haar was careful not to gulp down his food, which was common-place when he was incredibly hungry as he was, but that usually ended badly so instead he finished at a slower pace, much slower than his usual eating habits. Taking the last bite of the rather tasty and thankfully filling roast, the soldier grinned as the waitress swayed her way back to the table. Apparently she was not one for subtly, he mused as she leaned over suggestively to take the cleared plates, leaving a down-face bill next to Red's hand, her own brushing up against it lightly before she bounced off to another table.
[[lol...oh waitress lady.]]

((You know it'll be in the dictionary eventually. :B Vitamins + Empty stomach = not good idea D: ))
Red was looking quite... uncomfortable. True, he was usuall calm and at ease, but... the waitress's suggestions were just... too open, too obvious. And he had never been good at dealing with women who through themselves at him (as there had been many, for his looks, nature, and status). He simply couldn't... deal with that sort of woman. And besides, how could he possibly forget his beloved Erika?
Alti's brightly golden eyes moved from the waitress to his own father, a slight scowl forming on his lips. Why was that stupid waitress being all... fluttery and giggly and... uhg, it was disgusting to watch her humble herself like that. The teen gave the woman a look of contempt much more remniscent of his usual self than the rest expressions he had been showing that night.
Red paid without question and stood up slowly and stretched -- unknowing that, all this time, the waitress was watching him. Alti noticed, though, and it only served to sour his expression. The dark-haired boy got up as well and glanced back towards Haar. "Want me to take you back to the room?" he asked.

Haar sputtered as Red paid the bill quickly. Reaching into his pocket as the trio left, the red-eyed fire native fished for some money, pressing a handful into the boy's hand before wincing, "Eh, I know you don't have much time to spend with your father, I don't want to encroach on that," he murmured, looking at Red with a grin, "It was nice to meet you," he said before continuing, looking back at Alti, "Besides, I think I can make it on my own," he reassured the younger boy, hoping that he would indeed be able to make it back to the inn without slipping into unconsciousness on the way there.
Scratching at dark brown hair, the young man shrugged, "Even if I don't you can look at this way, you'll have the room all to yourself," he said in a teasing manner, laughing a bit nervously at the joke which wasn't really all that funny.

Alti, in turn, stuffed the money right back into Haar's pocket. THough he was no Fire native, he knew the salary couldn't be much or the soldiers would look a lot... well, wealthier -- better off -- than they were. And Alti had seen quite a few Fire soldiers... "I can pay for my time here, thanks," he murmured quietly, deciding to keep the exchange just between the two of them. Red didn't really need to know.
"And I'm taking you back to the room. It's a short way, so it won't take up much...." He glanced to his father, then, and gave the man a bright smile. "I'll be back in just a couple minutes!" he said with a surprising cheerfulness. Red nodded and Alti turned back to Haar, placing one hand on the other's shoulder. "Hold on, okay? Last time I almost dropped you," he teased lightly. Really, he hadn't... but it did make his job easier if he had a firm grip.
"Alright... one, two, three... go!" he exclaimed quietly to himself, a look of concentration forming on his pale, delicate-looking features. And, with that, a small wind began to swirl around them -- a small, heated wind. It seemed the boy had been... experimenting, for the wind, for all its Sotrms nature, seemed to hold much Fire magic in it. Suffice to say, his Fire-enfused magic was much more successful that when he had previously attempted only Storms by itself.
Only moments later, they arrived in the room. Alti slumped back slowly away from the other, shoulder shrugging down. "Nnnnn... s'good the restaurant was close," he murmured slowly to himself, a small, firm frown on his lips. He still was far from mastering the two magics together.

[[Lol. One, two, three, go go go~! :D]]
Haar landed lightly on his feet, hitting a wall as he attempted to brace himself. Hissing a curse under his breath, the soldier slowly turned around. "Eh, yeah, good thing," he muttered, before eying the teen curiously. "I liked that little hint of fire magic, it makes your use much more effective, try using it with healing next time," he murmured before kicking off his shoes and flopping face down into his bed. Waving a hand at the teen, Haar mumbled a good night into his pillow.

((Skippidy dippidy doopidy doo. <33))
Alti hadn't been able to remember the way back out to the restaurant -- so, naturally, he telleported. It was the shortest way. It took energy, and he was already slightly drained... but the distance was short, so he should be fine. Of course, that didn't factor in with all the excitement and walking and talking and hurrying and... everything of the festival. It was finally closing time for the majority of the booths -- and it was quite late -- when Alti found that he was too.... too tired to keep moving. He was situated on a park bench, waiting for his father to return with drinks. When the man returned, however, he found his son slumped back in a dead sleep. He smiled softly at the boy's sleeping figure and then, after passing the drinks on to others not so fortunate as to have gotten there before the shop closed, he slowly picked up his son and hefted him along back towards the inn. It was fortunate that Alti was increadibly thin and light or Red would not have managed the journey with such ease.
When he finally reached the room, he had to fish around in his son's pockets for several moments (a rather embarrassing task) before he could finally enter the room. Once there, he set the boy down on his bed and set about making sure he would be comfortable -- pulling back the covers and tucking him in and all that... parental nonsense. He'd never done it before, but it felt so... natural when he was with the boy. He left his son with a parting smile and a kiss goodnight. He knew his guards would likely be worried sick, if they remembered him at all, and it would be best he slept in his own room for the night rather than spending it away. That could only raise suspicion.

[[i still have nothing to say. i'm also too lazy to capitalize, whee.]]
Haar was currently fast asleep, his body slowly recovering from the immense amount of work Ceris and the other clerics had done earlier that day. Nothing would wake him up for several hours, if he had anything to say about it, but of course, he didn't because he was, after all, very much dead to the world.
[[lol, sorry. I should've time skipped.]]

((Tato, your sig is SUPER deep. :B ))
It was morning. It had to be. He had that feeling in his mouth.... like he had been asleep for a very long time and it had been peaceful and warm... a comforting, but still... slightly uncomfortable feeling -- one that people washed away in the morning after rising. It was to that feeling that the pale, tousle-haired teen awoke, his dark locks very much hanging in front of his gaze. He felt tired and yet.... refreshed. Somehow... it was strange, but... true....
His eyes opened slowly, dark lashes fluttering slightly above lightly glazed golden orbs. He stayed like that for several moment, on the verge of dreams and waking, an odd ballancing beam act that sent no waves of vertigo down his spine. Finally, after several minutes, he rose slowly and slipped out of bed, raising his arms above his head to stretch. He strode over to the window and opened the shutters, smiling as he was welcomed by a warm, bright and cheery day -- well, of course it was... this was the Light Kingdom, after all. He leaned forward over the window sill, draping his pale arms out the window. He was still too sleepy to do anything properly, and he didn't wish to sleep again for fear of not awakening.... And so he stayed at the sill for some time.
((I have no comment on this. 8D;; ))

[[Hah, oh but it is. >:3 Alti's all like, '-flops out window- =w=' lol I'm going to make this the gayest thing ever but I don't really care. I'm in the ******** mood. no pun intended.]]
Haar had been awake for quite some time, staring out the window as the first light made its way past the horizon. It started only as a glimmer of pale white light, and then grew and grew until the sky was lit up with a brilliant golden-orange. It reminded him of a certain someone's eyes, and by that certain someone he meant Alti. Haar watched blankly as the teen wordlessly stretched out of bed and half leaned his way out of the window.
A small sort of panic swept over his stomach and before he knew it was he standing precariously behind the teen, who still seemed very much preoccupied with the morning sky. Haar couldn't blame him though, it was absolutely beautiful. Pressing a hand against the teen's back, the soldier frowned. "You better not fall out the window," he mumbled, clenching his hand into a fist as he kept an even grip on the boy's shirt in case he felt like flying.
[[I'm so sorry. Also, Haar just indirectly called Alti's eyes beauuutiful. 4laugh AND I forgot to mention, screw the shutters, either that or Haar has x-ray vision.]]

((Exxxxxxxxxxxxxx-ray. Dun-dun-dun! Shay Haar, reporting for duty! Whose clothes do you need me to see through now, Sir?!
xD;;;; *shot*))
Alti jumped as he felt a hand press against his back. His eyes immidiately shocked away from the vision of morning beauty, the golden orbs, which were very much like the sky at that moment, fell upon Haar's face. "M'not gonna fall, Haar," he mumbled back, his voice thick and drowsy from only having recently awoken. His eyes weren't quite fully open, either -- they kept falling, only to shoot back up again as he remember his insistance upon staying awake. He could feel the other's fist close on the material of his shirt. It felt... weird. Just... weird. A heavy weight -- though a hand did not usually seem so... massive an object. Perhaps he was just weak from sleep.
"How long've you been awake?" he asked slowly, his voice still not having recovered from his drowsy state. His golden-orange eyes had returned to stare at the sky's matching hugh, the dark lashes having lowered half way above brightly amber eyes. The light made his skin turn... golden, and though his skin was still pale, he somehow had less of an unhealthy look about him. And his hair was tinted with sunlight -- and unusually golden hue lighting up his dark locks.
((Even though he's not doing anything, mine's ghayer. :B ))

[[oh god. I'd try to out gay you but I don't think it's possible without stepping over the boundaries of friendship. XD]]
Letting his hand slide downward, the commander pulled the teen about an inch or so away from the window, "I can't really trust you when you're half asleep," he murmured in explanation, his tone soft as if he didn't want to break the silence of the morning. Running his free hand through dark locks, Haar shrugged a bit, the motion surprisingly not creating a sharp stabbing pain up his side for the first time in weeks. "Long enough to know you're not fully awake," he answered with a lop-sided grin, as his hand slipped back to his own side.
[[I swear to god he wasn't trying to cop a feel in that first sentence.]]

"Mmm, well, I suppose that's a start since you used to not be able to trust me at all," he said, a light grin on his lips as he followed the other's prompting and stepped, however reluctantly, away from the window sill. He really did just want to hang there for a while more. It was just so... comfortable with an open, warm breeze of golden sunlight filtering across his tiny frame.
He glanced back at Haar and frowned slightly. "I wouldn't fall, whether wide awake or fully asleep..... and if I did, I don't think the wind would abandon me so fully. I do have Storms blood in me, after all," he mumbled with a hint of his usual scowl, though it was deffinately much softly than usual.

Haar stepped away from the window reluctantly, unbuttoning his terrifically wrinkled shirt, "Do I have to remind you that the only reason I didn't trust you is because you kept lying to me?" He said with a grin, fully remembering just how hard the teen had tried to trick him into believing several untruths about him.
"Whatever, stay there if you want but don't say I didn't try to warn you," he muttered as he searched for an extra shirt in the pile of clothes Cerris had brought for him.

Alti shrugged and turned, now leaning his back against the window sill, his elbows resting against the frame. "That's a minor detail," he murmured with a small grin. "I only did it out of boredom, anyway. That party was really..." he paused for a moment, trying to remember just how it had been. "...stupid," he concluded thoughtfully. He wasn't even joking. As the other began to search for suitable clothes, Alti glanced down at himself. His clothes were incredibly wrinkled... and his hair was probably a tousled mess of near-black hair, though he couldn't see it.
"Ugghhhh... I need to bathe...." he muttered to himself, raising a hand to brush back overly long, dark hair from his bright eyes.
