Dimitri

User Image

Dimitri looked over at Charisma. "Hello. Im Dimitri." She looked over at the girl sitting next to her. She'd seen her before somewhere. "DO i know you? I swear i've seen you before?" She studied Charisma's copy intently, trying to deduce where in the world she had seen her before. Her mask was getting slightly itchy and sweaty but she liked it very much. It was somewhat extravagant like a peacock but in a more condensed manner.

'Challenge everything and never give up your rebellious nature.'
≎≎≎≎≎≎≎≎

Rose was watching the dancers when she heard Dark's voice in her head, she was amused at what he said. Of course she was fine, he was the one in a fight after all, not her. Her amusement; however, quickly vanished when she noticed that Dark had suddenly stopped speaking to her. She was about to say something, but she felt something strange through her connection to him, something that she'd never felt before while connected with someone's mind. And the part that scared her was it wasn't of her error, it was of something that was happening to Dark at the moment. But what? she thought frustrated to herself as she left the party at a quick run, not caring that she'd just abruptly left Clay and Kimi without so much as a goodbye as she headed towards the place where she thought Dark might be. As she ran she said to Dark, Dark? Can you hear me? What's wrong, what happened?

After a few minutes of searching, she grew more frustrated with herself and her apparent incompentence at finding Dark. She stopped for a second and took a deep breath, trying harder to find out where he was at. Concentrate Rose, where's he at? she thought to herself as she closed her eyes and stretched her mind out to Dark's. His presence seemed faint but thankfully she could tell he was a little off to the right. Rose opened up her eyes and wasted no time in running in that direction, within a few minutes, she was on the street of where he was at. She saw him lying on the ground, and she briefly glanced at the others that were there as well. Paying them no mind for the time being, she ran to where Dark was and knelt beside him on the ground. She didn't exactly know what the hell it was that was coming out of his body, but whatever it was, she figured that it wasn't good. "Dark?" she said quietly both aloud and mentally, her voice slightly panicked and worried. Though she wasn't sure if he'd be able to respond either way. It sure didn't look like it, but for all she knew, he might've heard her. She touched his shoulder, the one that didn't look so messed up and shook it ever so slightly to see if it would stir a response from him. What'd he do? she thought, as she took in the left over remants of the battle scene around her as well as looking at the people he'd been fighting, before returning her attention to Dark.

Good and evil have no self nature;
Holy and unholy are empty names;
In front of the door is the land of stillness and quiet;
Spring comes, grass grows by itself.

-Master Seung Sahn-

- - -

Taking one last soothing breath, Aeora opens her violet eyes to the still night surrounding her.

She sits, cross-legged and of course bare-footed on the forest floor. The still water encompassing the stone path to the WAS village sits before her. And as before, only the waterfall at the head of the stone path breaks the silence, and even then minutely, as if the air itself was attempting to smother all sound.

Aeora, having finished her period of meditation, gracefully stands up from her relaxed postition. Her eyes remain fixed on the water as she steps up to its body, facing her mildly distorted relfection. Not merely an outcast, but now a murderer as well. It wasn't as if the art of killing was new to the Dier, but never before had she done it in the name of gaining access to the knowledge of such an organization as the WAS. Never before had she killed in the name of something other than herself, no matter her personal intentions;
not even for her former clan.

"And yet, all is as it should be," Aeora spoke softly - perhaps reassuring herself, or maybe the ever-silent guardians of the forest that were the trees around her. She gazed but for a moment longer at her reflection, and then turned away, unconciously striding once more to the village of WillBe.

In the WAS village and its regal manor, Aeora had changed once again into her regular attire, also choosing to wear a light traveling cloak with a concealing hood - black, so as to not draw attention to herself so soon after commiting such a deed as she had.

Aeora had not walked far before she felt the fast-approaching movements of another being. She stopped and stepped silently into the shadow of a nearby tree, acting instinctively rather than conciously hiding. She waited for the creature to come closer, and then noticed it was a masked and stealthily dressed figure (Liliana). Aeora knew not if this being was friend or foe, and so she remained hidden in the shadows as the creature passed, appearing to be heading in the direction of the WAS village. That would be a clue as to its alliances, though Aeora nevertheless had no intention of stopping to converse with it.

Once the being was a fair ways passed Aeora, she stepped out of the shadows and once again began walking towards WillBe. She was aware it was perfectly within her power to transport herself using Videre, though she had no desire to use her ability so frequently. This was more out of respect for the nature of her power than actual physical limitations of using it. While negative effects of using her Dier powers could potentially surface, they would almost certainly be mental rammifications, if any.

Aeora raised her black hood over her head as she walked. She moved quickly, and would come to the village equally as fast, no doubt. Despite a small amount of automatic reluctance, her destination was once again the masquerade ball, though she had no intention of dressing up to join the festivities. She did, however, believe that when there was such a large presence of important people, it naturally meant a rather important place. And that meant that such a place would hold in itself a great deal of importance - knowledge, which was Aeora's most simplistic goal, and more precisely, answers.

For Aeora had many questions, and she knew that somewhere in the back halls and rooms of the masquerade, where little to no people danced or chatted away their wasted breaths, she could at least gain an inkling for how to make further sense of what she had seen in her visions - and most recently, her vision of WillBe.

*Luke*

Luke found a young lady in black, with long black curls out in the maze, her scent was famailar
and he knew who it was, it was Angel, though he pretended not to notice, he tapped her shoulder
lightly and smiled. "fancy a dance with me" he didn't wait for her answer as he took her hand
gently pulling her away from the maze, his head started to ache slightly but he didn't take notice,
however as he kept moving his legs became limp "what the hell is going on?" he asked himself
as his eyes looked around frantically.

Liliana stopped running, and sat down. She wasn't tired, not at all. It was more she was worried about the other Was members that were still at the dance. Luke, I fear you don't have much time.. Try and find other Was and get the hell out of dodge.

As Aeora walked out of the forest, she saw the source of a bright light she had noticed moments before. A large fire was raging at what had now become a fair number of residences in WillBe. Aeora stopped, her expression plain, watching the flames dance and lick at the night air around them. The smoke rose far into the sky, its ashen coils telling poems of destruction and rebirth.

The fire's unspoken words were both old and new to Aeora's ears - for it hinted at stanzas stated ages before by ancient fires long since dead, and yet this fire in and of itself was new to the world. And Aeora had no doubt, it was not caused by nature. Nature was much more methodical in its cleansing, and such a fire as this could only have been caused by a creature much less knowledgeable of the world and its old customs. The being that Aeora saw earlier, heading towards the WAS village, came to Aeora's mind. Though by now the identity of the fire-starter was rather irrelevant to Aeora, though no doubt some other residents of WillBe would be rather interested.

From a fair distance away, Aeora also heard the sounds of a battle. Nothing that she cared to get involved in, no doubt, so she turned her attention back to her purpose at hand.

She banished the thoughts from her head, and began once more walking towards the masquerade ball, though going in a different direction from the raging fire. No doubt civilians would take notice of it soon enough, and she did not want to get caught up in their panicked rush.

Soon enough Aeora came to the building at which she had previously attended the town's masquerade ball. Walking around the edge of the building, she came to an area where few people enjoyed the shallow pleasures of such an event. Aeora kept to the shadows, and remained unnoticed as she located a back entrance into the ball, and entered gracefully and silently as always.

Once inside, Aeora took a moment to take in her surroundings. She could not easily use her powers to sense weight distribution when the natural ground was blocked from her touch by man-made materials such as the floor of the building. However, she could still get a faint sense for where people moved, though it would be as if someone were holding their hands over her ears as she tried to listen. The sense was muted, but not entirely destroyed. As such, she could tell where groups of people gathered and could avoid them without much difficulty.

Aeora walked down the back halls of the grand building, looking in rooms where she sensed no movement to see if there was anything of interest to her. Her luck was coming up short, until she glanced in a room where something caught her eye. Middle-aged men in suits were sitting in comfortable chairs around the room, some facing her and some facing away. Aeora moved to quickly retreat from the threshold, but none of the men even glanced up. In fact, the eyes of those she could see were wide open, gazing with glassy expressions at nothing at all. Their faces were pale, and they moved not.

Aeora stepped into the room cautiously, and approached one of the seated figures. She lowered a hand to touch his temple, and once she made contact she retracted her hand quickly as if she had been burned. "Theirs was not a natural death..." she whispered to herself. Even as she said this, she could feel dark powers surrounding her, beginning to sap small amounts of energy from her. Her instincts told her to run, though she knew that she would be brief here, and so she left the room and once again went about her searching.

After a short amount of time, Aeora found a room which she believed she had been looking for. A library of sorts, and perhaps an office for an important official of the town. It was fancily decorated and books lined the shelves, and Aeora quickly proceeding with looking over their titles. Every now and again she would pull out a book to skim through its pages, gathering some knowledge but nothing that satisfied her or was particularly relevant. Beginning to think that this venture was going to be fruitless, Aeora once again found something unique. She pulled out another book, and there was a muffled sound as the bookcase slid aside to reveal a passageway leading underground.

At this point Aeora had removed almost all of the books from the shelves, and as she stared down the dark corridor she set the latest book down on a pile amongst its fellows. The town of WillBe had again exceeded her expectations. Aeora placed a foot on the first stair, and found it to be natural stone. She placed both feet down as she descended the stairs, finding her senses once again restored. She could sense a great presence in front of her, below her, and followed it until she found its source.

Aeora stopped as she witnessed what appeared to be some sort of ritual occuring beneath the floor of the masquerade. Robed figures chanted dark incantations around the seemingly sacred site, and three other people stood apart from the group - Aeora noted that Malice was amongst them. Another man ( Gerzen ) stood closest to Aeora, and a female ( Eos ) stood between he and Malice.

But the presence of these three seemed to pale in comparison to what was happenening with the apparent ritual. Aeora felt the dark presence that had previously surrounded her upstairs grow as she moved off the staircase, for a moment oblivious to all else but its power. She was not mesmerized, per-say, but she was thinking through the possibilities. "So this is the essence I felt in those drained men..." she spoke softly. Her gaze with the robed figures broke, and she turned her head to Malice, not bothering with simple pleasantries. "What is this dark power?" she asked him. "Is this your doing?"

She still felt the slight sapping of her energies, no doubt a result from the ritual, and longed to know who was responsible for such a thing. Aeora still had had only minor contact with Malice, and while she doubted that he would be entirely responsible and still at the current location, getting wounded by the power with the rest of these people, she still did not entirely trust him, if for no other reason than she simply did not truly know him - even if she had killed for him.

Damian and Echo had looked at the Was village for a little bit before Echo mentioned the Masqurade and that they'd finish their talk there. Damian brought her to the edge of the forest and they went there separate ways in town. There Damian got a mask and changed his outfit in an ally way. The only thing the same about his other outfit was his pants, the new clothes were bought at a store. His other clothes were sealed in blank cards and put in his pocket in case he needed them. He went to the masqurade with little worry of enemies recognizing him since he looked entirely different.

Upon entering the Masqurade and all of it's dancing and wonder his animal instincts went off when he passed a few citizans who had their souls sucked out. He had a bad vibe about the matter and knew the WAS had something to do about it, which meant he shouldn't stay here long to end up the same way. He went through the area and spotted Dimitri sitting next to Charisma. The only way he knew it was her was because the scent was hers. Damian sat next to Dimitri and looked at her. "Hello Dimitri. Who's your friend?" He asked, first grinning lightly before looking at Charisma with a neutral expression. Damian looked back at Dimitri with the same expression. "Can we talk?"

As for Yoshiko she was looking at a man who walked up to her. His suit was impressive and his black wavey shoulder long hair looked nice. You couldn't see his face from the mask he was wearing, but his tan skin fit his outfit. The man extending his right hand out to hers with a smile.
"Care to dance?" He asked cashually. "Uhh... I don't dance. I never took dance class which is why I'm back here." Yoshiko commented smartellically. "Quite a predicament there. I'll teach you then. Come on." He said pulling her along to the dancing. When they got to the middle of the dancing Yoshiko managed to get out of his grip, but it was already too late. Yoshiko gave a glare underneath her mask towards the man before he and Yoshiko began dancing. Yoshiko was being quietly couched by the man kindly as they danced. As she danced she was scanning through the dancers for any WAS, since Damian was Shin was Was at the festival. As she did she felt no energy in any of the dancers around the huge mansion, so a shiver went down her spine at the feel of it.

"Damian!" Dimitri was surprised by his appearance. "I love your mask! Oh and her? I haven't gotten her name yet. Oh and if she doesn't mind i would gladly talk to you." She looked at Damian with a worried expression. "Whats wrong?" Dimitri smiled at Charisma and turned back to Damian.

Damian brightened up his neutral expression when she asked him if anything was wrong. "We haven't finished our talk yet. Remember?" He reminded her with a small grin. "I think my mask fits don't you? But that's another matter." Damian said replying to her other sentences.

~Nila Shyama~

Before starting to manipulate the water Nila started to feel drained of energy. She took a few steps backwards, thinking maybe it was the water somehow. "Ah. Do you feel that?" she asked Shin before looking around.
(it's not the water)
"It's like...something is..." she sat down right where she was on the ground, feeling a bit weak.
(what is that?)

As Riina danced with the dashing gentlemen she felt herself getting lightheaded. "Do you feel that?" she asked him as she placed her hand to her forehead. He nodded. "Yeah you feeling dizzy? Maybe we should head outside and get some cool air." He led her to the door and opened them before she fell. He picked her up and lead her to the garden. "I still feel dizzy and really weak." she told him while holding onto his arm for support. "Maybe we should just leave here all together then. I know a nice place where we can just relax. Maybe you'd like to go there with me?" she nodded and picking her up, he carried her away from the ball to a little house just on the edge of the town.

Damian was about to reply to Dimitri but a sudden dizziness over came him and he fell to one knee. It was as if he was being drained off all his energy causing him to feel weak and powerless. Damian grabbed his forehead with his right hand and looked at the floor. "I better go." He whispered to himself before struggling to get up. "Dimitri. Lets finish our talk in the forest. I'm feeling weak." Damian said reaching over and grabbing her hand for support as he walked towards the way he came in from before he felt too weak.

Yoshiko had danced for a few more minutes with the guy before she got dizzy and nearly fell. Yoshiko and the man scuried away from the dancing. Yoshiko got to her knees and felt her forehead before noticing the young man having the same dizzy and weak feeling problem. "Get me out of here... I think I've stayed here long enough." Yoshiko said extending her right hand forwards slightly and using her energy to move around her arm.

There are two different energies. One is spirit energy which is used for magics, and if you use too much you'll die or loose conciousness, the other is life force and is used to live. Yoshiko extended her left hand out and used her energy manipulating skills to summon up a small amount of life force. She is no expert on this energy manipulating so she can't manipulate it for much longer. The amount of life force wasn't much and it seemed as though it was depleating. Yoshiko clenched her fists before she and the young man left the Masquerade to the streets.

Once on the streets Yoshiko removed the kimono and pulled a cigarette from her back pocket. She lit the cigarette and poked it in her mouth before looking at the Masquerade mansion from a far. As for the young man he felt a little better now that he was out of there, but not recovered. "Go home and take a rest." And without another word Yoshiko inhaled and exhaled before walking off. She was in thought and partly excited about the matter and couldn't really get in on the action if she was neutral. "I bet being an Is is more fun."
She said with a smile as she walked down the street to hopefully find an Is out.
