Kathryn returned from her trip, there had been a family problume back home compleatly un related to any of the events going on with in school. Her father had had a accident, and fallen into coma, and her new step mother, along with her step siblings and her own siblings had wanted to pull the plug, only to be shocked when they had found out that Kathryn was the only one who, because of how her father's living will was worded, could make the choice.
The whole thing turned into a legal matter, of course, Kathryn won out, and her father remained upon life support. The irish woman stayed until her father passed away, taking care of all the legal things, and even using magic to.. fix things so everything was as it should be.
The week she chose to return to Hogwarts.. The old hags told her that they had somethings they needed to talk care of with the Ministery, things they could not tell her. But there had been something in their eyes that never sat right with her. And the lass hadnt heared from them sense.
So, here she stood, two days after her 18th birthday, alone, dressed in her school robes, staring up at the forbiding shadowy silloet of Hogwarts just moments after stepping off the boat. Lightning danced in the sky above, thunder rolling as a echo as rain soaked her to the bone.
"As the hags would say, the air dose not bor good tidin's" The irish woman grumbled under her breath with venom, shoving open the large doors with bang, causing a few of the teachers and students to look at her strangely. She said nothing.
With rain water dripping from her body she moved down the halls, needing to check in with Dumbldoor and let him know she was back. She paused though, seeing McKenzie storm out of the headmaster's office in anger. Sighing she knocked on the Professors door

*Dumbledore got up from his desk and shuffled over to the door of his study upon hearing a knock. He smiled warmly at the young woman standing before him* Ah, Ms. O'Riley. Good to see you. I take it your family affairs were resolved.

I take it your family affairs were resolved. Kathyrn gave a weak smile to the old gray headmaster, stepping into his office "There is no resalution like the absalution of death headmaster. My father passed away." Dispite her relationship with her father, she felt a ach in her heart now when she thought of him. "I just figured I should stop by and let you know that I've returned."

Death never gets any easier to deal with, no matter how much you've experienced it in your life. *He looked out the window at the stormy sky* There seems to be something ill in the air tonight. It must have something to do with the ogre attack on Ms. Wallace and Mr. Malfoy earlier.

She took a few steps forward, hands folded behind her back as she stood next to him, looking out at the storm that rumbled around the school. His words caught her by surprise "A Ogre attack? Surely not, Ogres are not known to attack with out provication, let alone wonder out of their lands so far."

I believe the ogres were under... dark influences. Thankfully Miss Wallace escaped. Mr. Malfoy on the other hand has been severely injured. And I fear that Miss Wallace has run away in an attempt to protect those close to her.

She spoke in a hush tone, almost afraid the walls and ears.
