Gone the way of the sensei, illuminati, undead chaos marines, space slann, imperial beastmen, zoats, effective ork artillery, and the squats.

eek undead Chaos Marines? That'd be the best conversion for some Death Guard army. And it would be possible if you fit it in with the whole Tandaris campaign and plague zombies and all... mmm

That WAS a bit off topic.

Mmm... brutal...

But Imperial beastmen weren't killed off were they? I distinctly remember a Chapter Approved in a not quite so recent WD about mutants in the IG and there were semi beastmen there. Along with loads of other muties.
I'm still sorry for the squats, they rocked so hard... domokun

Basically the idea is now that any mutation is worthy of destruction. That's why abhumans barely play a role even, and especially not mutants. Lots of old-school modelers do projects like that, though.

Ogryn and ratlings are still there though arent they?

As to eviscerat0r, ew squats. Their name is reason enough. But space biker gang dwarves that sound like an STD/bowel problem?? No thanks. I would like to see them brought back, but no squats. Something more fitting.

Beastmen make a cameo every now and then in some book or the odd army list as pious dregs from the human toilet boil of evolution, pressed into Imperial service to DIE FOR THEIR heart BELOVED heart EMPEROR WHO HATES THEM FOR WHAT THEY ARE. They willingly sacrifice their selves in combat if properly brainwashed by the Imperial cult.

I wish we could ask the same of the idiots that we have on the globe in this day and age.

Still though, mutant beastmen are best found in IG armies as conscripts or as some special theme with human overseers with whips and shock battons, or as true chaos servants, serving in those rare few Lost and the Damned armies as mutants or traitor guard.

Its not the Emperor who hates them its the high lords. Remember, he was all for using alien tech and mutants, but then got his a** handed to him on a silver platter by the thrice cursed Horus. Thats why old school maries had jet bikes and shuriken catapults

Cited sources of shuriken weapons for marines? Jet bikes are proven, and dont have to be of alien design. Also other than the navigators and marines, what mutants was the emperor in favor of using, and also once again cited sources?

Finally, the emperor did not get his a** handed to him, considering he did win. In older fluff he sat there begging horus to turn back to his side and let him strike him first, and then killed him. But I dont know if thats still the case with the big HH overhaul.

The shuriken catapult was just a standard weapon in Rogue Trader (NOT Eldar-designed) and thusly was available wargear for Space Marines, along with the graviton gun, the conversion beamer, D-cannon, and needler/needle pistol.

This is something I've been trying to figure out for a little wile. Perhapse someone can help with this question. In the Chaos Codex it says that all Chosen in the army take only one eletes choice, regardless of number of squads. Does that mean that different squads can have different marks of chaos? Or must the entire selection have the same mark?

Technically, you can have two Chosen retinues (limited by your 2 HQ choices) and a SINGLE squad as an Elite choice.

They CAN have different Marks, subject to the limitations of Marks. The retinues have to have the same Mark as the character they escort, the Mark they CAN have are limited by your Legion or the Mark of the your Lord.

Ok... Thats something to keep in mind with the unit of Chosen I use in the Lost and the Damned army.
