Event succeeded! Alex advances two steps! Alex is at 4/10 non-battle posts!
As luck would have it, the S shaped path was the correct way to go! Now that Alex was closer, he would be able to spot giant holes everywhere among the short path. He was free to continue forward!

Though his reasoning was different, the path was right. Apparently the logic was to have no logic in this place. Nothing else needed to make sense, so why should his decisions. Had worked thus far.
The results were something that shocked both trainer and pokemon as Valiant would actually stop in mid-charge. His eyes huge as he looked at the pokemon in fear, actual fear. It was the first time that it ran so hot through the Larvesta and he turned and fled back to his trainer to actually hide behind his legs.
Shiloh didn't know what to make of that one as his pokemon defended by quite literally hiding behind him.
That wasn't good, not good at all ....as Shiloh looked the Stantler and glared at the pokemon himself.
He knew the fire bug would learn a lot on the island, but fear wasn't one of those things he wanted him to learn.
Unfortunately this time luck was not on his side. As he continued, he would see a large wall of boulders. He had come across a Roadblock! The boy had two options: attempt to climb the wall or go around the wall. Some of the rocks didn't look very sturdy..
(20- 1 + 13 - 8 = 24dmg) (No problem, I got a bit confused when I looked at it on the information center. Thanks for clearing it up and hopefully I got it right this time.) HP remaining: 13 Defensive roll for Fluke: -1
Even on a good day, that move would be tough, but weaken. The Dwebble looked back at his handy work and he could see the blood spill as the pokemon was called back into his pokeberry before it could really sink in.
This battle was over, completely and utterly done.
Hiro would actually look away slowly.
It would seem that I won't be capturing that one. The boy declares as the bug pokemon disappeared in a reddish light. This battle was over and he was sure that Fluke wouldn't be so happy about the results. He hadn't meant to kill, but he had lost his temper. Something that both of them would have to be careful about in the future.

Hiro should have felt worst, but he didn't. That was the law of nature, the strong trample the weak. Though he had to admit, his pokemon were proving to be unbelievably strong.
Stronger than strong.
He couldn't wait to get back and show everyone just how powerful he now was. He was truly going to be the world's strongest trainer.
A big smile came on his face as he would start downwards. Now alone, he couldn't miss the coldness that made him shiver. He didn't have Fluke warm rock, and until he felt he far enough away from the bloody area ...he would keep the pokemon safely inside of his pokeball.

Alex huffed as he saw the wall. He was a good runner, but not the best climber. From what he knew so far, the harder route was generally the one that payed off better here. Clapping his hands together and rubbing them together, he began to give it a shot.

Just noticed it said 2d20, so here's the second one.

>Homnomnomnomnomnom...< A short, stubby Aron eagerly dug into a thick vein of metallic ore. She was stuffing her face like she hadn't eaten in weeks! And she was far too occupied with her feeding to notice the human youth.
Hiro saw the pokemon and actually did a double take. A steel type pokemon ...here? It took him a bit by surprise considering that so far all he had seen in this area had been more of the rock or ice variety and he knew he should keep going. Because, this one didn't seem like much of a battler, but then again, it was here and it was steel type and he couldn't help himself.
He would walk closer to it, and maybe it was the last moment, but he stop.
"NO, I am the world's best trainer and I only train the best. I won't let myself be distracted by colorful pokemon or even steel type."
he told himself as he would turn away slowly. It was like him coming upon a fighting type, it's hard for him to turn away, because in Hiro's mind such pokemon were all about battle to him. Though for now, he would walk away, barely.

The rapid beating of his heart had warm him for a moment as he looks backwards where he had saw the Aron. Maybe another time, he would continue onwards ...because he could see the bottom of the mountain now. He was quickly reaching the end, and once he was done, once he was free of it he could work on other things.
Maybe hanging onto one more pokeball than normal isn't such a bad thing.
The boy would continue onwards.

Hiro finally reached the bottom of the mountain as he noticed that the cold was starting to recede, and he could see the mist from his original travels ahead of him. He would soon be back home or at the very least back at the academy with some of the strongest pokemon ever in attendance. Though he partially wished he was still stronger still, he was strong enough.
After all, how many trainers can claim they beat a Deoxy ...no matter how mess up that last one had been.
That single thought made him pause as he thought about the misfunctioning pokemon.
This island had definitely been a good places for beginnings.

Indeed, Hiro would find himself where he'd began. His mission was close to being over.
Alex would make it up about halfway before he'd lose his grip and start sliding back down all the way to the bottom. He had failed to climb the wall so now he had no choice but to walk around it. Because of this, the path was slightly longer then before. He was free to continue!
