Yeah, faith power might fulfill some minute function or feed something that comes later in the tech tree.

Sad panda is sad...
Damn... AN I was looking foward to my Tyranids being in this.. Dont you think we have enough Emporer stuff in 'ere?
EDIT: I just remembered a funny thing about the Dark Eldar. Their whole pilphocy can be summed up with this phrase. "Better you than me."

'Nids may never end up being put into DoW. They're too complicated of a race to really pull off, and it's quite obvious through all the fluff that the 'Nids don't make buildings of any kind, thereby making them even more complicated to use. I guess you could use a Mycetic Spore as a building, but that's doesn't work well.

Hell no we wont go! Hell no we wont go!
Thats what I feel like they are doing to us. I can picture a bunch of Tyranids just sitting outside holding protest signs say that they dont want ot be in the game lol.

Neither should the space marines or eldar, but they pulled that off rather well. After all it could be possible with the nids, after all use ripper swarms as the builder unit. Also various geno pools to allow different strains to be built. The problem would be Hive Control, I wonder how they would do that.

THough It seems easy to pull off the Marines more so then the Nids as they were stated. But you do provied a good arguemnt IMO.

The infantry units would be fairly low in strength, and all of the larger units (synapse creatures) would generate an aura that provides bonuses, just like the Space Marine commander does.

Zerg anyone? I was thinking it might not be so difficult. they did it with zerg. Instead of population, make hive control that you need higher levels of brood masters to have- like you start with the basic one with no attack thats your base, right? Then later, in order to unlock more strains and upgrades, get a broodlord. Make the hive tyrant the top of the chain, stuff like that. Start out with horma/termagaunts, then get to genestealers or spore spitters or something, i dont really know. but as to builders, you could have them gain genetic matter by having more rippers near the listening post, which might be, say, a gene-pool. or have an autoswitch where the rippers clean up corpses, but that might not work that well, because then the opponent could starve you. Make listening posts infestation markers, and as to the buildings you can make a gene pool that builds everything b ut the most advanced thing, and you need to get new brood masters to unlock the strains.
I think, graphical issues aside, that the idea would work well.

I doubt that the Nids will be in the next generation either. At least at the start of it anyways. I've heard from 4chan that they will be using a modified version of the Company of Hero's engine. Which focuses on small groups of units.

Necrons do have souls? That's the very reason they're made of metal now? They gave them to the CTan and are powered by them?
