Auren nodded and kissed the top of her head. "I wouldn'tve dropped a one-of-a-kind sword in the lake for just anyone, now would I?" he said with a smile.
"So, yes." he said, smiling honestly for the first time in years.
***
Myrr looked at Hali and noticed the tear.
"Hey, you alright?" she asked. Kaiser looked up from his own thoughts with a concerned look. She was, after all, their guest, not their captive.

Oriana smiled, and a single tear slid down her face. she held Auren close, "I'm glad you wish to stay with me. I-I..." she found herself without words. she didn't know what to say... the joy welled up inside her blocked her speech.
~~~~~~~~~
Hali pulled her hood down further to completely conceal her face and nodded 'yes' to Myrr's question.
She wasn't alright, but she would be. she just hoped she could talk soon, before she drove herself crazy with the thoughts racing through her mind.
Auren held her tightly, rubbing her back. "Don't need to say anything, my love... Trust me, I feel the same way, as thought a heavy weight were finally lifted from my shoulders."
He raised her chin to look at her and kissed her gently.
***
"Kaiser, we should head to one of the private rooms, alright?" Myrr muttered. The Shape Shifter nodded in response, flagged down a Serving Girl, gave her a few coins, and five minutes later had them in the basement in a sound proofed room.
"Okay, Hali, go ahead and say whatever you need to say, alright?" Myrr said.
She kept looking at Hali's pack, then back at Hali. Repeatedly.
"And, what in the heavens' name is in your pack, Hali. It feels alive to me." Myrr muttered.
Oriana's kiss was a bit more passionate... as though all the worry, tension, longing she had been holding in for three years was being released in these few moments. she didn't kiss him any more than twice; twice was all she needed. there were plenty of other tensions she wanted to get out, but she had an eternity to release them.
She nuzzled his cheek and smiled, "I love you."
~~~~~~~~~
"Miu..." Hali muttered, "Miu is in my bag. She's been in there since Oriana handed it over to Kaiser." Hali lowered her hood and looked around the room, "Why are we in the basement... Is this where you two kill me, because my sister wouldn't pay a ransom?"

Auren returned the nuzzle, still smiling. To be perfectly honest, he didn't want to break the moment. He knew that such a moment would happen exactly once his life time.
***
Kaiser chuckled quietly, while Myrr shook her head with a grin. "No, you silly girl. The walls are soundproof. Privacy, and all that." Myrr said.
Kaiser leaned against the door, impassive.
"More importantly, who is this Miu?" he rumbled, his sole eye closed.

~~~~~~
Hali sighed and opened her bag to reveal a silver gecko like lizard latched to her hand, "Shes quite a pain in the a** actually... and i think she's bipolar."
She looked around the room again and sighed, "It's all the more reason to kill me down here... no one would hear it... or i guess you could use me too... maybe both..." her eyes had a glazed crazy look to them as she took a seat on the floor cross-legged.
After a moment of silence Hali blinked and stood up shaking, "Oh dear... I'm soooooo sorry... I get like that occasionally..." she began pacing in a circle, "Could we get some fresh air... or someone change the subject..."
Miu crawled up her arm and onto her chin, the placed a claw over her mouth, 'hali, just stop! please... Do i need to take you home.'
Hali's eyes met the lizards and she smiled, 'no... I'll relax... i'm sorry.'
"...For ******** SAKE HALI!" Kaiser practically roared. "Here's what you are going to do. You are going to sit down on that bench, shut up, and pay attention. Understand? Good." Kaiser started.
Myrr face palmed. Hard.
"You need to stop with the goddamn attitude of 'Woe is me, I'm only a sex toy for men because I'm beautiful and too weak to say no to hurt your feelings.' You need to drop that ******** s**t. Hard. And fast. I don't give a flying ******** about who or what you've slept with. It's not even my goddamn business! If you're going to keep this up, I am more then willing to frogmarch your sorry a** back to your sister and leave you on the doorstep instead of doing what I had offered, and that was a fresh start on life. Do. You. Under. Stand?" Kaiser growled.
He had unwrapped himself from his compact form on the door and taken a step closer until he was practically in her face.
"NOT ONLY THAT! NOT ONLY THAT BUT you harbored this Miu thing until now. Myrr and I could have been killed because of that. Dead. Gone. That's it. No coming back. You should've told us right the ******** then when you first knew about the damn thing. s**t, no wonder no one trusts you with anything important. Y'wouldn't know what to do with it until after it was too late."
With that, Kaiser spun on his heel, opened the door and slammed it to go upstairs to get some alcohol in him and calm himself down.
Myrr had a helpless look, and offered a hug to Hali.
There was a slight glint in Hali's eyes... Some may have mistaken it for a tear, but then she rose from the bench, unlatched the cloak, and removed the cork from the shell.
Water rushed around her in a circle, the small amount that was there, but then it also began collecting from sources around it. by the time she got to the bar she was in a full rage.
"WHAT?! WHAT I'VE SLEPT WITH!!!! Really Kaiser!? REALLY! What, huh... Well, I may be a ******** slut by your book, but WHAT i've slept with... that's a whole other level."
She pulled her hand forward and a wave of the water around her knocked him from his stool and to the floor, "And Yes. I. Under. Stand. You! We speak the same ******** language, as far as i'm concerned! and as for why I am the way I am... Well, That dates far back... back to my childhood... This is what happens when you get trapped in a fishing net, sold into slavery, bought by a psychotic child rapist/murder, watch several other children get raped and slaughtered right in front of you, then when it comes to you... " The water holding him to the floor suddenly felt like the building was coming down on top of him, "Your father comes crashing in and murders the murderer!!! BUT NO!! he couldn't have saved any of the OTHER kids! JUST ME."
She released the first wave with her left hand then bated Kaiser across the room with the right wave, "That's what happens when you bear that burden, without therapy... without saying a word to anyone, really..." her voice sounded distant, "... y'know... I think I can find my own way home, thank you..." she stumbled passed him allowing her wings of water fall back into a floating ring. "Goodbye..." she smiled as she opened the door and shuffled out on the suddenly still streets of the town.
Kaiser growled and shook himself out after she left. Myrr looked at him as though he were an idiot and sighed.
"Kaiser, that was stupid." she said as she stepped over him and went to chase after Hali.
As she ascended the stairs, Virmire and two other Moonlight Agents were at the entrance.
"The hell happened downstairs? Someone completely untrained in magic decided to start casting something?" he asked her.
"Yeah, something like that. Poor Queen Hali. S'all I hafta say." she muttered as she walked past the trio.
"Do I want to know?"
"No. Other then that there are some seriously sick puppies in the world that need to be put down in a bad way." she sighed.
Following Hali out into the street, she caught up to her and shook her head.
"Hali..." she said quietly. "What happened then happened. Nothing you or I can do anything about it, and well... If you need a hug or a shoulder to cry on, I understand that I'm some strange fox-woman who you've known for a grand total of four days but that doesn't mean I can't offer that much to you..."
*
Kaiser rolled to his feet and ascended the stairs. The trio looked at the soaked man and Virmire sighed. "Got into a fight with a water elemental and lost, did we?"
"Yeah, now hush. Say, you're good with Memnonics, right?"
"Aye. What's up?"
"Do me a favor, and go and erase Hali's childhood. The poor girl needs it. Just... ask her when and don't say anything to anyone about it. Alright?"
"Er, alright." Virmire said, perplexed.
Eisley had been sitting in the bar, eavesdropping with her back to them. she was hooded to disguise he animal appearance. Eisley was a bounty hunter, and she needed the gold hanging over kaiser's head. the fight between kaiser and Hali could prove useful. she needed them separated, to either take Hali or Kaiser. Eisley stepped out side, she jumped up to the roof and prepared to capture the young queen. she pulled out a large net and tossed it out over her. Eisley quickly jumped down and drop kicked the fox girl in the head. she then swiftly gathered the ends of the net and hoisted Hali on to her back, and sped off for the woods. she was quite fast, being a rabbit and all.
Suddenly being reminded of her childhood and caught in the nets she used the bit of water she had left to make a whip. she slapped the girl in the back, then when she was dropped she scurried out of the nets in an animal like fashion, and made it to her feet. she had the wilds glazed look in her eyes, and the water came back to a circle around her, "Leave. Me. Be." she growled staring down her prey.
Myrr shook her head, clearing it. Wiping her nose, she snarled something fierce as she took off after the two. While the damn shape shifter had been fast, Myrr was able to track her by scent. Even if she wasn't in sight, she couldn't hide her own scent.
Or Hali's for that matter.
Hearing the commotion up ahead, she slowed down, and crept around the two.
Seizing her chance, she crept up to the Bounty Hunter, and threw her into a Suplex, smashing the girl into the ground while Myrr rolled over her, mainly to add insult to injury. Clambering to her feet, she drew her Katana as she decloaked, and held it to Eisley's throat.
"So nice of you to drop in like that." she growled as she spit blood to the side.
***
Kaiser stepped out into the afternoon, and looked at where Myrr and Hali should've been. He was only lagging a few minutes behind.
That was odd. Looking around, he caught the scent of the two plus a third one. Putting a few things together, the Assassin nodded to himself and started in their direction.
Eisley was in trouble, the thought fast, and swung her leg under Myrr knocking her to the ground. she threw her cloak over the foxgirl and threw a smoke bomb. they were shrouded in thick brown fog. Eisley picked up the queen and ran off. she took the queen to her hole, it was practicaly invisible, well hidden under brush near a wolf den. Eisley gave a poison to her captive to knock her out for a few hours.
Growling frustration, Myrr raced through the woods after her, sheathing her katana.
This is idiocy at its finest. Myrr snarled to herself. She found the trail of her new found foe and followed it somewhat closely.
Sniffing her way near the den, she shifted into a fox. No reason to wonder what a fox is doing looking for a new den, though it was near a pack of wolves.
Marking the area and sniffing around more, she nosed into the Den which smelled like rabbits.
And Hali.
But mostly rabbits.
she was right to be worried about the wolves. two followed her in they snarled and lunged at her. Eisley was back farther in the den, she lay Hali in her own bed and covered her gently. she had a feeling the sniveling fox was following, she sat with her bow ready.
