Sora gets up and places the book on a small table. "If I'm gonna be here alone then I must make myself useful. I want the kitchen to be perfect and prim for all the masters to see," Sora got a broom and started sweeping the floor.

"Lala-la-la-la-laa," Sora swayed gracefully as she swept the floor pretending to be in the yule ball. "I wonder why there's only little of us elves who work here," Sora places the broom back and gets a rug. She starts polishing the cooking area. After a while, she decides to wash the dishes, dust the lights and furniture, and sweep some more.

scream scream "AAAAAHHHHHHHHHH!!!! Professor Clairion, you scared the daylights out of me. Are you okay??" Princess slowly removes her hands from her chest and places them at her side. Trying her best to catch her breath from the startling entrance of Professor Clairion. surprised

lonnie opens the door slowly to find no-one there
"oh well..it's new year's eve,i doubt many elves will be here.."
lonnie looks around at the tidy kitchen,and thinks that sora must've done that last night when lonnie left
sora's a very helpful elf by the looks of it!
lonnie looks over at the windows
nobody normally cleans them,as they're normally open to let all the smoke from the cooking out
but lonnie thinks she might as well,as there's nothing else to clean
lonnie gets out a bucket,fills it with water,and takes a big broom,almost bigger than her,and takes it over to the window,placing it on the windowsill
then she goes back over to the cupboard and takes out the stool,so she can reach the window easier
she stood on the stool and started to clean the windows

lonnie peers round the door to find nobody here
"well,it is new year's day.."
lonnie thinks she might as well make herself useful so she goes to the cupboard and takes out some polish and an old cloth and starts to polish the table in the middle of the kitchen
she hums to herself as she works,thinking about all the great things that'll happen in the year ahead

Sora entered the kitchen looking around thinking. "So what have I missed?" she said as she clasped her hands together hoping to find something to do. She pushed the chairs in place and just sat on the cold floor. Sighing, she pulled her legs closer and burried her face.

lonnie skips happily through the door,singing the tune that's been stuck in her head all day
"hm..wonder where everyone's got to..might as well be of some use while i wait!"
lonnie gets a pile of books off the shelf and starts to polish where the books had been
she figures that if she did this all day,she'd get quite a lot of the bookshelf polished!
she can always finish off tomorrow if she had to
there's just so many tidy house-elves,the kitchen is nearly always clean!
except from after mealtimes in the great hall,of course..
there's a lot of students,and they're all very messy ones to say the least!!
