Neither Hiro nor Fluke noticed as the boy worked on putting onto foot after the other. The cold was as horrible as he remembered as he hoped to get through here quickly.
Fluke knew he wouldn't miss this place, Not at all.
He would be free of cold and winter soon, and in a place that would be better he hope. Then again, he looked up at his trainer, he might simply be traveling with him where ever they go.
He could live with that, quite happily.

This situation was turning into a proper comedy of errors-- the Cherubi hit Gin right in the neck, but didn't manage to sink his teeth into the delicious neck. He ricocheted right off the trainer's neck, hit a tree... and then came right back at Gin to bounce of his head. He soared into the canopy, wailing all the way. And that bit of oddness over, Gin was free to go.
[gin gains no injuries but lbr that's pretty lulzy and undignified so who's the real loser here]
The boy could see the peak as he moved, and the snow seemed to grow much more fearsome with each step. That peak once they reached it meant they were half way through here, and soon, soon he would be free of this place.
He would make his way upwards as Fluke rock help keep him warm.

Together they would reach the top as he looks downward at the world beyond. The stars above sparkled and shined, and even with the snow falling and the wind blowing ...the boy was always awed at the beauty at this point.
Though, Hiro never once forgot ...that beautiful things ...tend to be quite deadly.
Though he didn't linger as he would stare downwards for only a moment before starting back down the mountain. This path would hopefully be leading closer to the end.
The boy was hit by the Cherubi at his neck but luckily did not get bitten. Instead the pokemon went on to hit a tree and then leave... Feeling a bit unsettled by the fact that he seemed to be constantly injured by pokemon, he continued along the way...

Alice watched the Ralts, surprised and charmed to see such a nice little scene here. And... well, Ralts were native to Hoenn, the region of her origin. It would be nice to have that bit of home with her. But she wouldn't feel right going about this the traditional way. Instead, she decided that she might need to bring out the "big guns"... figuratively speaking.
And in a flash of light came these "big guns". >Ooo, what's going on? Where am I? Is there pie?< Maddie wasn't sure the last time she'd been out of her Pokball was, but what mattered is she was out now, and everything was so pretty! She bounced, stretching her legs, and glanced back at Alice. >Am I fighting? I can be fighting. I don't necessarily want to be fighting but I can totally be-- GASP!< Yes, she literally said the word "gasp", for she'd gotten good look at Ralts. Like an excitable Skitty, Maddie bounded over, vaguelly remembering her mother's warnings about "personal boundries". >Are you playing a game? Would you like someone to play with? I like games! Oh, and so do they!< She motioned to Alice and Vorpal; the robot girl can a nervous wave while the sword just stared curiously.Maddie grinned happily. >You should come play games with us! If you want, I mean. Games are fun.< the Blitzle's mouth went a mile a minute.
A Pidgey soared by Gin, fluttering off to some place far in the distance. Perhaps the ocean, which the young man so desired. Either way, it wasn't going to fight him.
The boy looked up, tensed up, when a Pidgey flew by. When no attack came, he relaxed slightly. This forest was really out to get him. The shinobi continued forward trying to increase his pace and get out of the forest as fast as he could.

The forest continued to remain silent. However Gin kept on the alert. There were sometimes noise to alert him when a pokemon would pass by but there could be silent predators as well. The ones that liked to stalk their prey before attacking. He paused for a second, trying to keep his guard him.

So far, so good. Nothing had popped out nor had he been assaulted. The boy would continue to move silently through the forest. Pausing to stop, glance around, then continue moving again. While he had Takeshi, the boy would just try and move as quickly as he could.

The sound of the ocean could reach his ears as he continued traveling. Were they finally getting close to the shore? The forest fog made it hard to tell which direction he was going or even if he was wandering towards the correct place. But maybe this hint would be good enough? Hoping it wasn't an illusion tricking him, he continued to pad silently and as quickly as he could cautiously.

There! The boy could spot a break in the forest as a light shone through a pair of trees! He had to be getting close now! Hopefully this was it and he would be back at the beginning of the island! He could hear the sound of the ocean more clearly now! Taking off at a sprint, he began running. They had to be almost there now!

A Snorunt bounced from rock to rock on light feet, a strangely-lit curiousity in his eyes. He hadn't seen any humans before, but he knew exactly what they meant... And honestly, he was in the mood for a little rough-housing. >OI!< he shouted, bounding over to the young trainer and planting himself right in front of him. >Let's fight! C'mon, c'mon!< he rolled on the balls of his feet, curious and excited. At least some Pokemon could be straightforward.
Fluke would pop his head up out of Hiro's jacket as he looks downwards at the Snorunt.
(It's cold, go home)
He would tell the pokemon with more than a little bit of irritation in his voice. If the snow pokemon wanted to battle, then the snow pokemon needed to meet them in the desert. Then it would understand their plight as the pokemon simply glares at it. He had no plan of getting down in the snow for this battle as Hiro would smile at the little pokemon.
A snorunt, he had tried before but it had ended quite tragically. Maybe, a second shot would have a better ending.
"Fluke, let's try to capture this one."
He would tell his Pokemon as he reaches into get him. He already knew that Fluke wasn't going to be happy about this as he looked for the nearest rock to settle him as the bug Pokemon looks at him and shivers once.
"Can you do it?"
The Dwebble gave the Snorunt a chilling look.
(This will not take long)
Without a call he would start off by using Rock Blast as he hit and chipped off bits of rocks to throw at the Snorunt.

A kindred spirit in term of hating the cold and snow, he couldn't pass the Pokemon by. Thus, Hiro picked him up and took him out of the snow with the promise of letting the Pokemon decide where he wanted to go. Eventually, though, Fluke would choose to join him. A lucky break in a snowy mountain.

A familiar blue fin stuck out of the water a jagged angle. The Sharpedo poked his head out, verifying this was who he was supposed to be picking up, and pulled his boat a bit closer to the shore. It was time for Gin to return to the Pokemon Center if he so chose.
