Luo1304 Hinote Tosatsu I am apparently going to be right in the heart of the outskirts which are still apparently pretty bad of a major hurricane this week, so I might lose power for awhile. We usually get it back pretty quick, but considering major cities are also going to be hit I could be out of power for quite awhile before things get put back together. So, yeah. Hopefully not, but I might be out of touch for awhile here. I'm not going to put in a hiatus since I can't say when it'd be back or even if it'll go out, but if I don't post for an extended period of time in the near future, that's what happened, so count that as a hiatus. XD Hopefully Sandy didn't cut out your power for that long. Luckily here all we got were some strong winds and some heavy rain. Lost power about nine last night, got it back about an hour ago. I'm not sure if it's going to last though, since they might break it again temporarily in fixing other areas. Basically, I'll probably get to posting in various areas by the end of today or tomorrow sometime. If you could PM me a list of threads you'd like me to take a look at, that'd be handy since I may or may not have forgotten half the areas I need to post in the chaos I've been dealing with the last couple weeks.

We got an earthquake, followed by a hurricane, followed by a north easter, with elections somewhere in the middle. Didn't hear about a sub though... Probably cause my mom's been a little quiet on the news front since the election, and she's the only one that really tracks it here.

Yeah, the Navy picked up a couple of Russian Subs on election day on the east coast. And an Earthquake? O.o In the US? I knew about the one in Guatemala and Canada but not the US. And since you [ and greg ] brought it up... What in the name of all that is good is a nor'eastern...?
Edit: The subs where never really covered. They only showed up a max of 3 times in the CNN highlights since the report came in just as Obama was giving the pre-election speech he gave.

There was an earthquake in maine just a couple weeks(?) before the hurricane. Probably didn't get much news coverage, but it certainly shocked those of us that felt it, since we're not too used to them around here. Sort of like hurricanes actually. We're more used to ice storms. And really, earthquakes in the US surprise you? I mean, they don't usually hit my area, but you have heard of San Francisco, right?
A nor'easter is a storm blowing either in towards the north east, or from, I can't recall which. They usually come with snow and stuff, or just a lot of rain. Basically a large storm.
