myth doesn't fall asleep just yet. instead he finds one of the highest spots in the town, (climbing across trees and buildings) and sits there, looking at the night sky, counting the stars. he has another urge to howl at the moon, and does so, letting out all his emotions in a long mournful cry. waiting a few moments he lets out another, and another until he feels better. the tree he sits on moves slightly, the bark climbing towards him, the branches melding together. a foresty face appears. it wears a warm smile but there is concern in the eyes. "what troubles you, dearling?" myth turned around to look at the entity as it took a full physical form and sat beside him. "i am plagued by my emotions, mother..." he replied, as it wrapped a branchy arm around him. "then perhaps we should talk about it..."

*awakens in the middle of the night, not sure what exactly had done so, and gazes at the bright moon and stars, silent sentinels of the sky; she decides that she might as well go practice in the forest, seeing as sleep would not return, and slides down from Knurcl and makes her way into the trees, stopping at a small clearing and focusing on her powers of shifting*

*begins transforming, first into a wolf then an eagle followed by a mouse, shifting into her dragon form and onto a snow tiger before swiftly changing to the form of a horse, going through the figures as quickly as possible to improve herself, pausing at the form of a winged serpent to regain some energy and strength* Hmm.......... I sssstill need more practisse..... Perhapssss I should move to the water now..... I do not ussse them often but it could be good to be ssswift with the figuresss........ *changes back to her human form and searches the woods for a suitable area of water*

"tell me about her.." the tree spirit urges him "well, she's beautiful, and seems to be immortal like me." "go on.." "whenever i'm around her my heart jumps, at her touch i feel soothing calm, but.." "but you pull away." "yes" "do not be so afraid to let these emotions show." "but-" she puts a leafy finger to his lips "stop using this" she pats his head, "and start using this" she places his claw over his heart.

they talk for a while longer before she sends myth off to bed. he curls up next to the hgruphs and a fire he made to keep warm. a ball of fur with ears and tail, fast asleep till morning.

*chuckles to herself as she finds Myth is sleeping, Ayla is still unconcious and Cat as not yet returned* Ahh...... Those are the friends I know.... *smiles and heads into town, buying a few more supplies before speaking to the General in command of the town to settle some important issues with her and then returning to the camp where she lays a fresh, warm hunk of sweet bread beside Myth, hoping it would arose him from sleep while she feeds the Hgruphnuriks and herself*
