(12 - 9 + 8 - 7 = 4dmg (due to body slam) The first attack would hit with a resounding crash as the Gible would pin his opponent to the ground for only a moment. The bird underneath ....would make it very uncomfortable as he tries to dodge and disrupt the attack all in one movement. HIs feet hitting the ground softly as the pokemon nashed its teeth in rage at it's own movements.
(Sorry for this post, but last time was your attack phase. I don't know what attack you chose to use so far, so ...I am a bit lost on how to response. So please, make up your next post as your dodge and mention what attack was used in the one prior.)

The girl walked into the battle room her bright green eyes scanning for the one she was meant to battle here. It was called the battle room so she assumed it would be a room to fight in. She stepped up walking towards the center of the room and stopped just before she would enter that area. She stood there waiting, her mind clear and arms crossed.

"Hello there."
A voice declares from no where. The sound of shoes clacking against the mat ...would have made anyone jump. Considering the surface itself, this shouldn't be possible as whatever it was came closer.
"Are you ready for your final test? If so, you can take it with me. Now don't let me pressure you ...the choice of battling me or waiting for someone else is up to you."
The voice pronounce the words almost like someone was licking their lips. There was a slight moment of silences before the speaker began again, and it was with a bit of excitement that the next words were spoken.
"Ya'll ain't got nothin' to fear wit' me. Aye, make it quick as a whip. So, what do ya say."
The accent seemed to come from no where as the bodiless voice waited for the new trainer's answer.

The girl tilted her head a little more at the clicking. She didnt jump as it more or less intrigued her that it would make a sound at all. She looks at the other side of the room and then sighs. "Better to get it over with now than to wait for another person... I will fight with you"

The voice declares as the clacking seemed to become harder. It was as if the invisible force was thinking.
"Do ya'll know how to battle, or do ya need some help? Umm...to clarify, do you know how to battle, or do you need me to teach ya. Because, this is the final battle, it's important that you are given a fair shake at it. Otherwise, I would simply overwhelm you."
"So, if you do need my help say so, and if you don't call out your pokemon ...so we can get this show on the road."

"I will just go ahead and start the battle..." The girl tosses up a pokeball letting out of it an Inkay. She sighs and watches for what would be the pokemon she fights. She was ready to start and go into this fight.The Inkay floated a little as it watched the battle ground or what it assumed was the battle ground.{If I read it correctly battle here is based on turns of Attack, then Defend based on speed, then out come is determined mainly by Dice Rolls. If I am incorrect on any of this please let me know}  Inkay [F]

(Depends on the attack itself, speed decides who goes first in battle, and if the speed is the same we both attack. Attack or Sp. attack determines how hard you hit, along with accuracy. Also, defensive and Sp. defense is your pokemon's resistances to said attack. You are right about the dice roll, you have to outroll your opponent to hit or to avoid an attack. If what I wrote made any sense let me know) As if stepping out of a mirage or a hazy ...the pokemon they were to face appeared out of thin air. A hazy of darkness, purple and green, as a solid stone was dragged behind them. A Spiritomb, it was a rare choice, and a strong pokmeon too boot. It's eyes would lock on the Inkay as a small golden color potion would appear at the girl's feet.
"Drink that before we begin. No sense in your pokemon dyin'."

The girl picked up the potion and held it out for the Inkay to drink. "And we are ready..." She spoke still calm as if she didnt care if her pokemon won, lost, or even died.The Inkay downed the potion and shook its body as it looked at the Spiritomb.{It all made sense to me Since we both have a speed of 7 we both attack right?} Inkay [F]

(Correct) The voice declares with a bit of a smugness to it.
"I hope you are, because, if you lose twice ...the consequences go for the trainer as much as the pokemon."
"Now, Spiritomb, let's start this fight off with a bang. Use, Pursuit."
The pokemon would seem to smile at this command as it shot off like a rocket. It's mouth open wide as it seemed that pursuit meant the same to it as ...as lunch. It would aim to take a bite literally out of the inkay as struck out.

The girl looked at the pokemon and sighed "Well then lets make sure I do not lose twice, Squirt, go and peck the thing into submission" She gave her command as if she didnt care at all if it happened or didnt.The Inkay sighed wishing its trainer would take things more seriously. It would rush at the other pokemon not liking its open mouth. It would have enjoyed using a different move it knew instead of the Peck move. Its beak came into range for a peck but it also put it in range for being struck as well.{Then this shall be interesting} Inkay [F]

The attack would collide heavily against his opponent as those fangs would pierce though flesh. Or at least it's astral ones, as it would shake the Inkay once like a dog before it tosses the pokemon away from himself with a snicker.
It tasted good to him .....so good.
"That was a hard hit ....you can't take another one like that. Pokemon die all the time, and death is a real thing ...here as well as in other places."
The voice laughed lightly.
"Your attack ..make sure you make it count."

At the failed attack the girl's eyes would light with slight anger. "I said peck it into submission and you failed, now try it again!" She seemed to not like failure even though she didnt care that her pokemon was hurt. "Do you understand me Squirt, peck it till it dies!"The Inkay shivered in pain as it took the hit. It shook its body and tears welled up a little. Slowly it backed away until it heard the command for peck again. Did the trainer want it to die. It sighed and went in again as fast as it could to peck again with its sharp beak.Inkay [F]

(15 - 3 + 7 - 9 = 10dmg) The command to attack ...gave back just as good as the pokemon had gotten. The move ripping into the Spiritomb's astral body as the pecking would literally leave splotches of color on the pokemon's body as it shiver in pain.
"Confuse Ray."
The voice calls out again. The girl sighed at this "Squirt try not to be hit by this confuse ray" She gave her command for keeping out of the ray's range but even if the Inkay didnt get out of the way at least it wouldnt cause damage this time.The Inkay didnt like its trainer's attitude but it would listen to her for now else recieve her wrath. It tried to keep out of the way of the ray.Inkay [F]

It was a near thing ...very ..very close ...as the Inkay would dodge the ray by a hair's breathe. The Spiritomb wasn't happy at the miss at all as the sound of a finger snapping would accompany the failed attack.
"So, close, well ...let's try again. Though for now, make sure that pokemon can't hit with peck."
The voice states as the Spiritomb started to get a suspicious glance about it.(Just so you know, if the roll is the same ...defense always wins. An attack in order to hit, must be greater than the pokemon's defense.
