Mineka blinked at her
"Fall for? Hun, a joke is a joke. I did it to loosen ya up. Though it is kinda true, in the sense that it wouldn't be good if you got hurt. I don't want to get woken up in the middle of the night by sirens cause someone decided to hurt you."
She flashed a blatantly cheesy grin
"However, if that was the case, I'd have to go kill the person who did it. Ah well, we're fortunate to live in an area where stuff like that doesn't really happen. Everyones to afraid of getting caught and locked up."Laughing for a few moments she put her hand behind her head and bowed slightly
"Sorry, my five second memory kicked in again, I never introduced myself."
Whilest she said this, she stuck her hand out to shake hands.
"Name's Mineka, or Neka if you prefer whichever you find easier to remember."

"One can never have to many friends."
She said with a smile.
"However,"
Glancing over her shoulder at the bag she had just picked up and flung over her shoulder and then pointedly at Maras own bags.
"I'd say before any hanging out we'd best find our rooms and deposit this stuff to them. Heh, as nice a person as you are, I'd much rather not have to carry this stuff around, and I'm sure you feel the same."
Mineka leaned over and hit the up elevator button again, smiling slightly at the girl who seemed frozen to the spot in front of the elevator doors, in an attempt to call forth the magical non-walking-up-stairs-transport again. Apparently no one had called the machine back up, so the doors slid open a few moments later, and Mineka walked inside, and then put her hand on the doors so they wouldn't close before Mara got in.

Mineka blinked at her.
"Well first and foremost is dropping this bag off in my room. But then why don't we see what kind of resteraunts are in the area, and what's to do. Hrmm.... a phone books should likely be very helpful for that. I mean, it'll save the trouble later of of trying to figure out what to do. Oh, hey, I'm from CA. Where are you originally from?"
At which she fell silent waiting for the answer as the elevator slowely wirred it's way upwards.

Mineka thought for a second
"Well surfing is definitly one of them, and if I can't surf, then boarding or blading is good to. Though I must admit I'm a bit of a hortoculrist, I love plants...... well..... as long as they're not orchids. Orchids are annoying as hell, to much publicity on being 'hard to grow' when they're happiest if you just ignore them."
Mineka let out a sigh
"Oh, sorry, and of course movies. Heh, I guess I talk a bit to much. How bout you, what do you like to do?"

"The violin? Really? I tried that once, but I'm just not musically talented, heh, unless it's listening to it! I'm a rock/pop fan. How bout you?"
At that point the elevator came to a stop, and the doors slid open to the second floor and Mineka stepped out
"My rooms on this floor, or at least I'm fairly sure about that, if it's anything like hotels room numbering. How bout you?"

"Cool. Anyone in particular you like, or is it just sorta here a song there a song?"
Mineka was only half listening to the reply as she wandered down the hall looking for 206.
"Oh here it is"
She muttered to herself as she shifted the weight of the suitcase on her back and struggeled to retreive the room key she had filched from the desk downstairs. She put it into the lock and turned, the door emitted a click, so she turned the knob and pushed at the door.
"Come on in,"
She jerked her head in the direction of the door that she was pushing on before fully opening the door and letting herself in.
"Looks like I'm not the first one here, oh well."
Mineka dropped her backpack onto the bed and her suitcase to the floor. After which she herself hopped onto the bed (OT: I'm not talking jumping with yer feet onto the bed, I'm talking you jump and in mid jump you get yer legs into indian style and land on the bed that way, really it's rather fun, especially if you get a good running start. I launch myself into big cushionary chairs and beds like this all the time.), near the head where the school sanctioned pillows resided. Then leaned over her bag and patted the foot of the bed.
"Take a load off, sit down."
Then she opened up her back pack, and started pulling her sketch books, pencils, ink cartridges, and erasers out and stacking them on the shelf area near the bed, before gently pulling out a blue velevet case box and two jars of ink, one purple, one black; and then yanked out a purple acordian filer, and put that flat ontop of the shelves.
"Sorry, I seem to be ignoring you. I just don't like to keep my art supplies cooped up. I've got this belief that keeping art supplies packed up is just as bad as keeping yourself stuck inside the same room. Materials just like a person need fresh air. Happy materials make for better drawing. As crazy as that sounds, I find it to be true......... either that or my subconscience is being screwy with me."
Mineka let out a sigh and then went to lean back, but half way down she stopped looked beneath her grimaced and say back up, pulled the suitcase near her and zipped it open and rummaged around in the main compartment for a few moments before pulling out a tie-dyed (in red blue and purple) pillowcase. She grabbed the schools pillow and started to shove it in and then stopped, and sniffed it.
"Hrmm....... better safe then sorry, I say this thing gets a ride in the washing machine afore it touches my pillowcase any further. So I'm assuming you've just gotten here to since you where looking for your room, do you need to get yourself all settled in too?"

"What type of dance do you do? Ballet? Jazz?"
Mineka got off the bed and walked over to the closet and opened it and peered inside. She frowned and then closed the door and moved to the built in desk in front of the massive plain mirror and checked the drawers. After she had inspected the space alotted to her, she picked up the phone book that resided in the elevated flat space between the two desks and brought it over to the bed.
"You hungry? I'm starved! What do you want to eat, I could go for just about anything ecept pizza, not in the mood."
She began thumbing through the yellow pages for the resteraunt listing.

"Oh that sounds rather good, hold on let me grab my purse"
Mineka threw a few things about in an attempt to find her purse which had become burried under some other luggage. Locating the mini-backpack she gave a yank and pulled it free.
"Ah-ha! Got it. Okay, let's go. You lead the way."
