Her expression becme more perplexed. "But we slept together when we were camping." Taking Naruto's free hand she broght it lightly to her cheek, her green eyes seeking his filled with mild confusion. "Why'd this be any different?"

"Well...we just found out we are in love with each other today...and...it's really alot to take in you know! And if we do sleep together in the same bed, I'm....afraid, I will want to do alot more then just....hold you..." he says softly, his face red now as he looks down at his sandeled feet.

Now Rikku blushed too. She had not really thought about that... but now that Naruto had mentioned "doing a lot more" Rikku suddenly realized she would not mind that either. Only it was certainly much to soon for that.
Of course, her love for him seemed to swell with the implication behind his heartfelt confession.
"Oh 'Ruto..." She breathed softly, reaching out to pull the shinobi tenderly into her embrace. Lightly holding him she leaned her head against his. "I didn't think... I'm sorry. The last thing I'd want is to make you uncomfortable." She giggled then, as she saw the hypocracy in her words. "Well, except when I do it for fun. But tonight..." Her gaze softened. "I'm sorry if I was being pushy, 'Ruto. I'd never want to upset you."

Naruto lets out a sigh of relief when Rikku doesn't get mad at him and he wraps his arms around her, hugging her, "You didn't upset me, I was just nervous on how to tell you without making you upset at me! You can drop me off at the pond and I will head on home from there!" he says, smiling happily.

"How could I get mad at you for caring?" Her tone was tender, if slightly indignant. Rikku hugged him back with tender fierceness. "I'm not ready for, well, more either just yet..." She blushes fiercly before adding nervously, "... no matter how willing I am." For some reason she wanted to let Naruto know how she felt -despite how crimson it turned her.
"I, um... I'll take you to the pond. Whene'er you think you're ready."

Naruto hugs her tightly to himself, feeling his breath rush out from her soft whisper. But he doesn't say anything to do that, knowing he would stick his foot in his mouth if he did. He smiles and nods, "How bout we head out now, I know you must be tired, no matter how excited you are from dancing!" he chuckles a bit. But he was suddenly nervous. They had went out, but he really wanted to take her out on a date, make it official in a way!

"A little." She responded sheepishly, ducking her head slightly away from him. "I think I'm safe to drive home alone." There was still a note of whistfulness in her voice that she could not quite conceal. Hugging Naruto with a slight squeeze she kissed the curve of his jaw. Then she forced herself to slip from his arms to mount the hover-cycle. Again she patted the space behind her, the beckoning look in her eyes ever so subtly altered with the slightest trace of sadness. "If we're gonna head out I suppose we'd better be doing so." Rikku teased lightly.

Naruto sighs a little bit as she kisses his jaw and he hates the empty feeling in his arms when Rikku pulls away to sit on the hover-cycle. But there wasn't anything to really help with it, so he hops behind her and wraps his arms around her waist, "Yea, let's get going."

Rikku twists her head about to give him a light kiss, hugging his arms around her for a brief moment. "You sound nearly as excited about it as I feel." She resisted trying to change his mind -she knew he was right. And honrable to have thought of it. Rikku felt a little guilty not to have thought of such herself. In a way, it was as if even though they had only admitted their love today she had backtracked their "being together" to sometime when they were only "friends". Perhaps that was why Rikku was handling this sudden transition so well... so seemlessly: with the realization that what she felt for Naruto was love it was clear to her that she had loved him for a long time.
Well, she might not live the dreams of sleeping in Naruto's arms tonight, but she would enjoy the ride back. She smiles then & debates kissing Naruto again. In the end she decides not too... it was an awkward angle for a proper kiss anyway. That there were people walking around never seemed to factor into the equation for Rikku.
Instead she turned her attention to the hover-cycle, her fingers dancing over the panel to bring it out of "rest" mode. As it springs to life & hovers in the air people walking around them react -many with sounds of surprise. Rikku pays them no heed. She reads the screen with a slight frown & then snickers softly. "Silly dunderheads... trying to move our machina." She shook her head, still laughing. "But that's why it's only keyed to US!!"

Naruto kisses her back lightly, squeezing her waist a little bit. He didn't want to seperate from Rikku tonight, but he knew he was liable to succumb to his 'urges' if they did spend the night together, and he wouldn't do that to Rikku. Besides, he didn't feel like he was ready for anything like that quite yet. And it wasn't like they wouldn't see each other again!
He chuckles over what she says, ignoring everyone around them as well, "Yea, yea, total waste of time for them to even try!" he says, his tail wagging about a little bit.

Still laughing about it Rikku eases the hover-cycle from its parking place & directs it out of town. Once out of town limits she increases their speed, but not to the speeds she usually drives. It is a leisurly speeding... as if she is savoring the trip.

Naruto leans chin on her shoulder as they travel their way out of the city, closing his eyes for a moment as he savors having her in his arms as they ride together. He would have to find the courage to ask her on a proper date.

She loves the feel of Naruto's head near her ear, the way his breath strikes her from a different direction than the wind in her face. And of course she never tired to feel the ninja's arms around her. Rikku slows the machina down as she nears the shop. Now had Naruto said the shop or their pond? Their pond.
Deftly she angles the vehicle away from the shop & down the path to their pond. Rikku pulls it to a stop with much more care than she had earlier that day. Fayths! Yunie & Tidus! Here! She had not forgotten... just that the rush of discovering she & Naruto were in love blinded her.
Putting the machina down in idle, Rikku turns on the ninja in playfull accusation. "How did you pull off your great surprise today, 'Ruto? Especially keeping Yunie & Tidus apart!"

Naruto sighs a little when they get near the shop and when they stop at the pond. He really wished their time didn't have to end so soon, but he shouldn't be getting so depressed! He chuckles when she asks that question. "Well, Moochi let me know she was getting Tidus and Yuna here as Audio's like us, and they would be staying with my family. So I figured it would be great to surprise you with them both! So I told her and she said she got them, she would seperate them before they saw each other and all I had to do was make sure you were here!" he explains, wagging his tail

Through the magic of being Rikku, the perky Al Bhed manages to turn around on the seat so that she is facing Naruto without needing to twist. Without making Naruto release her. This is of course easier for her to embrace him as well which she does. Tightly.
"You... you... " Her tail flips & her eyes & smile take all the thunder out of the angry tone she is trying to use. Rikku grins, pressing herself to him. When she finally finishes her toone is completely different. Soft & smooth. "You're really something, you know that?"
"Fayths, what a wonderful surprise!" Heart beating loudly, Rikku closed her eyes & tilted her head to press her lips to his.
