So... :::She was afraid to ask::: we don't kill the pizza. Please don't tell me that we eat it alive.

*Luke sets down the drinks and sits down. He's got a good sense of humor like most people, but there reaches a point....*
*How can he explain. Right on... Someone comes out carrying a pizza on a tray.*
*Points* There you go, Slim.
*They watch as a waitress sets it down and the patrons dig in.*
I didn't want to spoil the magic, but THAT'S a pizza.

Well, you never know. It might not sit right with you.
*Luke has a thought. He addresses it.* Hey, Cora. Your stomach can take the food here, right? *He wonders when the last time was she had cheese. Or if there is cheese in their world. No, wait there can't be. No cows ... no cheese.* It's not gonna make you sick or anything...

Eh, I wouldn't worry about it. *Luke looks around.* This place is... you know....clean...
*At that moment a waitress around Luke's age moves through the maze of tables and brings their pizza to them along with two white plates.*
"Here we go," she said in a chirpy voice. "One large plain pie."
*Luke flashed her his smile.* "Thanks."
*She smiled and set down the plates and their food. Other than that, she had no reaction. Eh, you win some you lose some....*
*Luke turns back to Cora.* *He grabs a pizza and slapped a stringy piece onto her plate. He set it down in front of her.*
Voila. Pizza. *He grabs a piece for himself.*
*Luke grins to her.* Go ahead. You know you want to.

*Luke nodded in a knowing way, like a professor might to their student.*
*Then, he took a large bite out of his own piece. It was straight out of the oven, but that didn't matter.* *Luke spoke with food in his mouth.*
Look, Slim. I'm fine. *He put the piece of pizza down and presented himself.*
And even if I wasn't, we left that medicine cabinent you keep in your suit down at the dorm.

:::Cora detested the idea that food...the fuel of the human body, could possibly cause illness. It was a bizarre idea...but then, she'd already exprerienced it with wine hadn't she...? And THAT wasn't so bad... Her head raced with thoughts, as it normally did. Luke seemed to be ok, and there was nothing else to do but try the pizza...she'd be relying on her superhuman immunity.:::
:::She took Luke's example, and picked up the pizza from the broad end, rather akwardly...she'd never heald a pizza after all. But she got it to her mouth, and took a bite of the tip, making sure not to let the cheese run away:::
:::it felt strange and hot and melting in her mouth. She chewed bravely, and thought of how proud of herself she'd be if she could just stomach it a little...if she could just swallow the bite. Her inner motivation payed off, and she made it to her goal:::
