"Oh, do tell," Ark said with a grin. He took a quick glance at his watch, seeing he had to leave in five or ten minutes, and then went back to looking at Nezumi straight on.

Ark blushed ever-so-slightly at Nezumi's response; he had intended that statement as a joke. "You-" he stopped himself, not sure of what to say. After a brief pause he checked his watch again. "I need to get going, actually. Have a good day," he said, getting up from the table.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ ((Wanna be vice-captain?)) Nezumi didn't have to work today so he spent the day cleaning the whole house and picking flowers from his garden. He placed the flowers in a vase, sitting them in the middle of the kitchen table. He looked at his watch and and put his aprin on. It was 4 o'clock and Ark should be home soon, so he needed to start dinner. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Ark arrived home shortly before 4:30. He was tired, so when he entered the house he went straight to the couch to relax. He tousled his hair and loosened his tie, laying back with a sigh.

Nezumi heard the door open and close, making him grin slightly. He cleaned his hands out on his aprin, and stepped into the living room. Ark sighed again. "It was dull," he said, "Same as most days. How are you?" While he waited for a response, Ark unbuttoned a couple of the top buttons on his shirt.

"Most days are like that, it's all right," said Ark, "Besides, if it wasn't boring that would probably mean a kid was hurt, and that would be worse." He yawned and stretched as much of his body as he could, not noticing that Nezumi was looking at him.
