even though earnie davis diddnt play a single game in the NFL but he was still on the roster

I will give The Express all his due. He had his life taken short from illness and if he did not have that he may have been the best ever to grace the game. He certainly did it in college. Good call mate.

Here is my one problem with Emmitt Smith. He had that huge O-Line in front of him. After they were pretty much off the team, Emmitt really dropped in stats. So my whole thing is how good was he really and how much was the team?

1. Jim Brown, he IS the greatist player to put on a pair of shoulder pads

2. Barry Sanders, No line, No QB, 15,269 yards, Nuff said.

3. Eric Dickerson, 2,105 yards in a season. 13,259 all time

4. Walter Payton, NFL second all time leading rusher, and its SWEETNESS come on he has to be on the list.

5. Emmit smith, Broke Walters Rushing total and is NFL all time leading rusher.

HM:Earl Cambell, John Riggins, LT, Marcus Allen, and Leroy Kelly.

Thats the problem with running backs, it can be hard to tell who was the best of of skill, and who was just the product of a good team.

That is why I will always have Deon Sanders in my 1 or 2 slot. He would have been better off having a high school O-line in front of him than what he did have. But then for today you could have Westbrook and LT in that regard of having really not that good of O-Lines as well. They had no run blocking that much and at best it was still borderline retarded run blocking.

1. Walter Payton
2. L. Tomlinson
3. Emmit Smith (eventhough his o-line was good)
4. Barry Sanders
5. Darren Sproles (out of opinion, eventhough he's young)

xd Yeah it probably would have been better with a high school line, but that just shows how good he really was.
