Sorry the extent of my gundam knowledge is pretty limited to Gundam wing, some seed and some 00. And as the last of that was watched ohh say...two-ish years ago???
I can pretty much guarantee I don't remember names of particular gundams ^.^;;
Luckily! Xeks and the guys are pretty decent with giving me pictures and references to go off of. SO if you wanna do the work and lay it out in front of me, I'll give you an opinion.

Gundam wing was on TV throughout most of my teenage years. Though I only managed to watch it in the proper order the second or third time through.

I watched Mobile Suit Gundam first, then 0080 War in the Pocket, 0083 Stardust Memory, and then 8th MS. I bought the first few volumes of Wing, but the characters and the way that the fights went (fancy pose, enemy MS's exploding in thier hundreds) it was irritating compared to the earlier series, at least for me. The only Gundam that I have seen that was worse was G Savior. It is as bad as the made for tv movies on the SciFi channel.

Zeato I think all he's saying is he doesn't like how one sided the battles were. Which is basically using Zaff Branigans fighting strategy of sending endless waves of men at the kill-bots until all the kill-bots reach their killing limit.

Bingo! The Gundams are cool, but some of the other mobile suits are just... Lets just say they aren't Zakus.
