((Oh you're going to HATE him and me.))

.: My dear childe... you have NOTHING to bargain with. Why should I answer you? Your pet is outnumbered significantly. Its AMUSING to watch him slice open my new friends... they heal so much faster than him, and he IS tired, is he not? The Master's other pets kept you busy yesterday. You should have taken a day to recover. Prehaps I will feel leniant. What is your question? :.

*Something was different about Mathieu. And he was right not to be worried. He had a Glasswalker nearby it seemed, and had no need to fear even Iden's handguns. They, like everything else Iden had brought, would suddenly backfire, jam or simply refuse to work as intended if Iden came within range of the plant*
PostPosted: Mon Dec 29, 2008 12:26 pm

Wrong answer.

Iden made a show of looking at his wrist, even though the watch no longer functioned. He shrugged, and took another step towards the door.

The proper answer would be, yes, let us do business. Now, if you so choose to change your MIND in the next five minutes, and deal without your ego complex...perhaps the building will still stand by the time I depart.

The door would not stand for long. Potence may not be Iden's best skill, but it was a close second to Celerity, and it was augmented, just as Celerity had been.

The door was not the target of the blow. The target was the frame around it, where the cinderblock construction began. Iden's fist would mulch through the bricks like they were little more than drywall, and his grips would rip the door, completely intact, from it's frame.

Try again, and I might stop here.

.: As I said, ask your question and if I deem it WORTH answering, prehaps I will. :.

*Matheiu vanished inside, smirking. Either he didnt care about his door, or the plant, or he intended to stop Iden somehow. Who knew? Alarms began to trigger as Iden smashed through the cinderblocks, but he would see no people within, no sight or sound of Javos*
PostPosted: Mon Dec 29, 2008 12:37 pm

Liela was already slipping in, and following the scent of Javos' passing. The noise alone SHOULD be a good enough guide.

Heh. S'pose it works. I ask only if you have any information pertaining to the pair behind a certain killing of my kin, some few months ago, and if you do, that I may have it in exchange that our paths never again cross. Orders are well and good, but I honestly feel no compulsion to level your business.

Another glance at his wrist. Again, no dice on the functionality of the watch, sadly, but Iden was ticking down the seconds in his head. He wouldn't know the exact timing, but he knew he needed to move quickly.

.: Ah....vengeance. For revenges sake.. prehaps I will indulge you. Truly you ARE her son. A shame she hasnt taught you more.
I cannot gurantee NOT to cross yrou path - my dear new friends may request my presence, but I doubt it. Call your furry little ferret to your side and ascend to the top floor. I will meet you there to discuss the information your desire. If you desire it enough... you shall have it. :.

*Mathieu sounded amused, the alarms cutting off as Iden entered. Silence fell over the entire building*
PostPosted: Mon Dec 29, 2008 12:54 pm

First things first. There will be no talks until your men stand down, and my partner is left alone. The ferret is simply insuring that this request is tended to properly...forgive the lack of trust, but we DO walk on opposite sides of the political war.

Iden walked with confidence most would not feel. But he was tallying up information...some of which was of fair import that it be returned home. He was in well over his head, not because of Mathieu, but because of his allies, plain and simple.

However, he was working towards the stairs, to make for the stairs leading upwards, even if the ferret was not. He had at least that much good faith in his foe.

.: It is very hard for me to ask my men to stand down when your... FELINE... is carving fresh orifices in their faces.... :.

*As if to puntuate Mathieu;s words, a burst of snarling came from the left, a massive 'WHUD' echoed and something came THROUGH the wall at Iden.
It was big, it was heaving with need for breath, and it smelt like wet dog.*

I... hate... these guys!

*Javos looke dup at Iden with a weak smile, in human form. His left eye was simply GONE, there was a rather large hole in his leg, but he was alive, breath slightly ragged from the slash through his throat that deepened as it went down his chest. Not quite enough to have stopped him from drawing breath, the wound gaped and sucked as he somehow stood and peered back through the wall at the carnage on the other side*

Never... underestimate... an immortal!

*If ANYTHING had kept the cat free, it was the mad frenzy he had gone into at the thought of being changed into one of the monsters the entire clan were going to be facing. On the other side of the wall, a STRING of men lay dead, torn to bloody shreds, bites missing out of them.*

.: You really ARE insufferable... very well. Come on up. Your way will not be hampered again :.
PostPosted: Mon Dec 29, 2008 1:09 pm

:: Good man. Well, my foreign friend, you could have perhaps listened, and maybe I could have calmed him BEFORE the debacle in here... ::

Iden seemed to be quite in good cheer. He had honestly been worried for Javos. VERY worried. But to see him still himself was a very reassuring thing.

Javos. Here. Just in case. And.....you might want to be ready to run. Last check, we've got maybe five minutes.

Run from WHAT, Iden did not say. It was enough to have his smirk fade into a very solemn expression. Something not good, apparently. As for what it was he was offering Javos...it was a grenade, with a red strip marking it as incindiary. With that damn garou present, it wouldn't work, sadly, but Iden had a plan for it if it were needed.

Thus, with Liela perched upon his shoulder, Iden walked upwards. As he did, he belted his gauntlets on...once again, just in case.

Run. You're a ******** slave driver you are...

*Sighing, Javos took the grenade and limped after Iden, leaving a trail of blood in his wake.
As promised, nothing blocke dthe group moving upwards, and when they reache dthe top floor, they would emerge into office space totally cleared back so that there was one large desk, with Mathieu sat behind it, and a circle fo smaller desks lower down, around which sat several unknown men, a woman who lounged AGAINST the desks instead o in the seats and at Mathieu's side... Raoul?*

Wha...

*The room reeked. And it reeked of evil. The same smell the Bastet had carried. The man who looked so much like Raoul it was scary grinned an uncharacteristic grin and laid a hand on Matheiu;s shoulder, whispering something in his ear*

Excuse my friend's choice in look, it'd be... awkward were you to see his true face yet. Sit yourself, and we ma discuss your visit, Iden DeSeer.

You remember I said I had a bad feeling, right? Cos if we die here, I want you to remember I said it AAAAALLL the way down to hell.
PostPosted: Mon Dec 29, 2008 1:28 pm

Hey, you could just sit around. You're immortal...you'd probably live.

It was with a wink and a smirk that Iden made the final comment, before entering the office. Once in there, his brow shot skywards. If not for the smell, he would have almost been fooled.

Iden did not bother seat himself. He neither needed, nor wanted to...and he remained close to Javos, half expecting to have to carry the poor sod if things got ugly.

We'll be fine, mate. Besides, hell ain't so bad. I've got a timeshare there.

Iden nodded as he spoke, acknowledging Mathieu's words, even though he only murmured his remark to Javos.

Speak your piece then, DeSeer. Give me a reason not to just hand you over to our friends here as a bargaining chip in what is to come... convince me your revenge is worth it.

*Mathieu leaned back. The others in the room all looked at Iden with narrowed eyes, faint fangs and hissing about their lips clear indicators they were NOT happy being held in check. Most, it had to be said, were focused on Javos. He had enough bluster left in him though to ignore it... though one of his hands DID come to rest against Iden;s back, using touch to reassurance as he let his claws slide out of his fingers*
PostPosted: Mon Dec 29, 2008 2:06 pm

You could hand us over, sure. But that wouldn't help you much in the long run. Given that an airstrike on this town is en route as we speak, under my explicit orders. Tell me, how many of my bombs did you find? I'm certain the black powder will blow when the blast hits...much of the place will be leveled...and here we are, standing at ground zero.

Iden flicked the disposable cell from his pocket, and held it aloft.

Of course, as stated, the information I ask for is enough that I'll end all hostilities on my part in this town, and provide the chart depicting the location of all charges I have set. Though...your friend may need to let the phone function to make the call. Simple, no?

Iden's grin was broad and predatory. He was almost daring them to call him out, saying he was bluffing. The sad truth was, he was not. Iden had told Roan earlier that he had meant to bomb Ice's cave into oblivion, and that he had the resources...but instead, he was willing to sacrifice that one favor as a failsafe option. Once again...Javos was probably going to kill him if they walked out of this one.

*Mathieu looked at the Raul-clone, who wobbled a hand, indicating neither one nor the other*

Miguel... how much of the work at the plant cannot be duplicated?
All of it can be, but losing the plant would knock productivity down by.... 80 percent for two months while we recoup losses.
The faaaaamily would not be pleaaaaaased.

*the last was purred from the female, who looked at Iden like he was dinner*

It would seem my colleague is... unsure... of how far out he could knock out a plane's electronics. Losing the plant to an air crash, even if we COULD then put onus on your country... prehaps it would NOT be worth my while.

*Mathieu held out his hand, and had a data stick dropped into it*

Here. I suggest... you hurry home. Events beyond your knowing are moving swiftly, Iden. If you are lucky... we will meet again. If not... see you in hell.

*he tossed the stick to Iden, leaning back in his chair as the abominations around his table snarled - they did not like letting their prey go*
PostPosted: Mon Dec 29, 2008 2:25 pm

I figured you would see it my way. A pleasure. Now...if you will...the phone?

Iden's free hand snatched the data stick, while his right hand was already dialing. He would make the call for all to hear, before withdrawing. As he did so...

Javos, look in the pack on the small of my back. The map should be in there. If you would be so kind as to pass it on to someone whom could put it to use?

*The Raoul-clone inclined his head. The phone, as well as Idens watch, suddenly came back to life.
Javos dug for the map, then passed it to the woman. In doing so, she grabbed his wrist and tugged him in close to her body. Her tongue flicked his ear as she hissed her warning*

When the time comessss... I will enjoy tainting your ssssoul totally.

*This time, Javos coudl not supress and shudder and swiftly pulled away, returning to Iden with eyes too wide.*
