Nina walked over to look at the odd metal. "wow, neat parlor trick." She said, poking the metal when it was in a liquid state. "How will this glob help you win the bet?" She asked, she knew little about black smithing so if he had any ideas she wouldn't be figuring them out anytime soon.

Benjamin moved it away from Nina's finger. "Don't poke it, and this blob is a kind of metal that can shift without form. Do you know what that means?" "Nope, but I bet you'll tell us anyway, Benny." "Stop calling me Benny, Elric!" Groaned Benjamin, if he heard that one more time, it would be too soon. "Anyway, as I was say. I don't have to design around mechanical interference or structural integrity. This will bypass those setbacks for me!" He further explained to Nina.

Nina nodded some, understanding a bit of what he explained. "So, if it can be molded to any form, what will keep it from going goopy when you use it in the weapon?" She asked. "Cause last time I checked, goo isn't very deadly, well, unless it's like toxic."

Benjamin showed her by changing the goop from a liquid to all different shapes as a solid. "Well, I'll give it a static form to stay in, and from there make it shift into whatever form I may need of it. You'll see once I actually put it to use, can we get the hammer now please?" He begged his older cousins, the metal was put into a container and into his backpack it went.

Nina watched as he changed the metal. She was amazed by it and nodded when Ben mentioned getting the hammer. "Yeah that sounds good, so how did the meeting with the guild master go? Hope he wasn't too hard on you about the hammer... We're not stealing it are we?" She asked, rushing a little. "Cause if we are, we'll need to hurry."

Benjamin turned to Fara, then back to Nina. "It went surprisingly well. He wasn't as creepy as he usually is. Be happy you didn't go though. He may have done the weird fingers if he knew about you." Said Benjamin, the weird fingers was just something that guild master did with his hands. Wiggling them the way he did, just seemed very creepy. "But nope, we're not stealing it. Got his approval and everything."

"Oh well that's cool." Nina said with a smile. It faded to confusion and she looked to them. "Weird finger thing?" She asked. Fara shook her head some. "you don't want to know, it's, like he's double jointed or something." She said, trying to imitate his weird finger wiggle. "I can't even get close to what he does."

"Surprised this guy is still a guild master." Said Elric. Benjamin shook his head in response. "Well, despite his creepiness, he's really smart and knows how to run the guild." He explained to his older male cousin. Eventually, the four acquired the hammer from the light rod. Not a moment too soon either, Irvin had called them through the communicator he had given Nina. It was one of upgrades he had made the last time he had seen them. "Hey it works better than I thought! You guys are on the other side of the world and the receptions great!" Irvin said to them, completely forgetting why he had called them.

"Yeah, the guild master position is more of a, brains kind of thing. That's how mom was able to get there cause she's pretty smart." Fara said. While most guild masters were indeed smart their mother was the only one who could also fight, at least as far as they knew. They had never seen any other guild masters fight before.
"Yeah you're right, and we're even in an area with a lot of lightning so, uh, that would cause interference wouldn't it?" Nina asked, not knowing if it should or not. "Normally it would, but judging by your response I'm guessing it's not." A familiar voice said just across from them. The guild master was standing across the lightning rod court yard. "Though, admittedly you guys got here faster than I thought, I was hoping to be here before you."

"Well, we're kinda trying to hurry. We got places to go and rings to find." Said Elric. "Well, there is a bit of a delay, but Quintu precautions so far are working. By any chance, did you guys fix things over there? Mother's readings about the area's conditions are saying things are normalizing again." Asked Irvin.

Nina stepped away some so she could talk to Irvin. "Yeah, when we left for the temple it was really dangerous, they even had to build a lightning rod with an Irrigan weapon to keep their building from being hit." Nina explained.
The guild master took a few steps forward. "I'm sure you are, but what I have will only take a minute." The guild master said. "You see, after you guys left I started to think, I was only able to figure out so much from a distance and what I did see fascinated me as you know." He stopped and reached into his pockets. "Now I know you don't want just any one tagging along and don't worry, I'm not going to be dead weight." The guild master pulled a pair of leather gloves from his pockets and put them on. "I'm quite capable in hand to hand combat so no need to worry about protecting me."
Fara leaned towards Elric. "I, think he wants to come with us." She said, noticing something the guild master had left out. "Now there's no need to worry about the guild, my son is quite capable of running it while I'm gone." Fara nodded some. "Yeah he wants to come with." She said as he continued to ramble.

"You're kidding right?" Said Irvin with a blink, that was quite interesting to hear. "Anyways, how goes the search for more crystals?" "I don't know about that one, Fara. What if he tries to ask about us? I'm not going to be anyone's lab rat." Said Elric to Fara. He didn't like the sound of this guild master following them along everywhere. And he didn't know how their mother would take it.

"Well Fara found a ring in one of the local stores so that cut down on a lot of searching. I was thinking we'd grab any rings we can on our way to the temple." Nina said. "That's if we pass any, I'll have to keep an eye on the scanner on our way there."
"You're not going to be lab rats." The guild master said, having finished his ramble. "While our technology is quite advanced we have not made a way to mobilize labs." He explained. "Well that's one less worry." Fara commented. "But I'm still don't know about bringing him along."

"Wow, count yourself lucky on that one, but I doubt it will always be that easy. Especially with that other crystal gal on the loose." Said Irvin, he began to think about what he can do to further help everyone. He was beginning to hate just waiting here. "The scanner can now identify what ring in particular it is, but I'm sure you knew that by now. I'll try my best to be ready and catch up with you on the journey. Be safe till then, okay Nina?" "I say we don't, I can do without the fingers, thank you very much." Whispered Benjamin to Fara. Elric agreed with the both of them. "How much combat experience do you have? Our adventure hasn't been an easy one. Sure I'm not master fighter, but I have done guild jobs before. It's not the final decision, but to be honest sir, I'd like to keep this issue in the family."

Nina nodded, even if Irvin couldn't see it. "Yeah we figured that out, it's the earth ring so we'll be heading to Quar next." She said. Nina smiled. "we'll be safe, don't worry. I'll talk to you later." Nina hung up and turned around.
"Oh I am quite experienced." The guild master said. He took his glasses off and tucked them into one of his pockets. "go a head, try and attack me." Fara blinked some and looked to Benjamin and Elric. "Is, he seriously challenging us?"
