Good man. We'll hit that place when we bug out of this lovely little sandtrap.
Iden was grinning as the engine thrummed to life, and his foot eased on the gas. The truck lurched forwards, and they were on their way.
By this point, Iden had been seen around town as nothing too suspicious. He would expect this cover would hold for the little time he needed it...though after the attack in the countryside....
Regardless, a few blocks from the plant, Iden found a place to hide the truck. He pulled the keys from the ignition, and tossed them in back for Javos to take. Then, he pulled the remaining RPGs from the truck, once he deemed the back road he'd backed into as empty enough for his liking. Then...he used the truck as a base to climb to the roof.
Iden kept low, and used the ferret to spot for him. Moving only when he wouldn't be seen, Iden made his way across the rooftops.
He was making the rounds, depositing rockets on the rooftops in an arc around the plant.
Upon his return, Iden took the last bag, a full blown duffel. This had the launcher, the Dragunov, and the AK. His normal kit was in a smaller pouch he wore on the small of his back...but that was for emergency use only.
Once again, the rooftops were his means of transit. It was starting to get late, and the sun was already beginning to tip beneath the horizon. Iden had pulled the scarf over his face, and tied a bandana over his hair, the cap now discarded. If ever he was to look the role of the masked bomber, he certainly did now. But now, he was relying more and more on obfuscate to cover himself and his movements, as he made for his perch.

Sure sure. I still got a bad feeling about this...
*Javos took the keys and slid into the front of the truck, laying down with a paper over his face to wait for Leila's signal. As Iden moved through the city, the caw of ravens filled the air, the evening chorus preparing to make for their nests*

:: Good. The less you like it, the better it is. If they decide to come out to play without a single bomb going off, all the better...this is a show of force to pull them out. I don't EXPECT it to work...I expect it to give us something to work WITH. And if this doesn't work, then we'll just tear each operation of his down, one at a time, until he's FORCED to act. ::
It was a simple line of reasoning, one that had seen Iden some success in the past. Granted, though, it had never been on this grand of a scale. But he had set his course, and would see it through. Besides...he did so very much love to see things blow up.
:: If you see an abomination...or worse, a squad, don't engage. Just take the truck, and haul a** out of there. And if you see the target...shout. ::
Iden, meanwhile, was setting up. He'd pulled the Dragunov out, and slung it over his shoulder. The AK rested against the edge of the roof he was perched upon. As for the RPG...a HEAT round was loaded and ready. Just a few more minutes...

.: You're SO encouraging. :.
*Javos sighed and let his body rest. Dark was coming and he scented nothing out of the ordinary, though his hair was trying to stand on end. Maybe that was just nerves from the previous day though, who knew?
Iden would find things to be running as normal as he waited to start his assault. People came and went in the bigger business even after working hours, but the streets were calming. No one and no thing seemed about to disrupt his plans, and save for a sudden and loud caterwauling, followed by the souds of dustbins upending... things were quiet*

Iden was waiting. A few minutes more...
The sudden noise brought his hair on end, and had his hand drifting instinctively for the AK.
:: s**t, Javos, was that you? ::
Iden would know already if it was, though...he had left the ferret behind WITH Javos so he COULD keep in touch. That meant Iden's nerves were just as on edge as Javos seemed to be.
:: Keep your nose to the ground, mate...something isn't right here. ::

.: Ive been saying that for HOURS! You never listen to me. :.
*Javos sat up, eyes scanning the dark warily. Still, he couldnt sense or see anything unusual. The only things he could sense were cats out and about town, which in itself wasnt unusual.*
.: Its just cats... might be cos they know Im around? I dont know. :.

:: I've BEEN listening. I've just not been DOING...we'll argue this later. Loud noises start in five. ::
Iden slowly crouched lower, and wrapped his fingers around the grip of the RPG. He lifted it, his eyes already sighting his target.
:: God, I'm really starting to hate cats. No offense. ::

.: I'd never have guessed from, and I hate to have to keep going back to this, but the fact you SET ME ON FIRE. :.
*Javos was still trying to stay humourous, waiting for Iden to start firing. NOTHING seemed out of the ordinary... so why were they both on edge?*

Perhaps they were paranoid. After getting attacked by a well informed group of exceptionally powerful, exceptionally well organized pack of ultra-rare creatures? Yeah, Iden was VERY paranoid.
He reached for the disposable cell. The device hummed to life, and he keyed in the first signal.
:: Well, I told you I'd pay you back. Fire in the hole! ::
About a block down, the warehouse that had been mined would find a trio of pipe bombs going up all around it. They had been placed for maximum damage, naturally, and it was the first of many. Assuming it worked, of course.

*NOW the panic for a reason could set in. NOTHING happened. If Iden had any kind of readout, he'd find that all of his devices had malfunctioned in some way - the ignitor had failed, the signal hadnt come through, whatever. As soon as this happened Javos sensed something*
.: Iden! I just sense... arrgh!! :.
*Liela would see something dark shoot through the window, grab Javos and haul him back out the same way in under 5 seconds flat, the darkness then jumping to a wall, across to the other side and on up to the rooftops, where it hopped and jumped away, towards the tall bulk of the Plant in the middle of town. Javos voice had fallen silent, and now... nothing made sense. Raven's cawed overhead, as if sensing a predator taken out of the running. Several landed near Iden, their loud caws racous in the still air*

Nothing. Iden was holding a cell phone...his bombs were simple spark-detonated devices...there were no readouts, no fancy technology...meaning either the recieving phones had been ******** with, or the signal itself was bad.
Iden swore, and started to key in the second, when Javos shouted.
:: MOVE! GET THE...aw s**t! ::
The ferret scrambled to keep up. Celerity was Iden's specialty, which helped...but s**t was that thing fast.
:: Alright you ********, now that you're in the open, let's have us a right old party... ::
The thought was to himself, more than anything else. Iden's grin had turned grim...as soon as Javos had shouted his report, Iden had scooped up the RPG and AK, and slung the duffel of rockets over his shoulder with the dragunov. He was running full, celerity crazed - tilt across the rooftops towards the truck.

*The thing was indeed fast. Beyond fast. IT moved quickly enough it was just a black blur, Javos a pale blotch against its darker skin as it bounded agiley over rooftops, clearly knowing where it was going until it reached the plant and vanished through an open dooronthe third level, which slammed immediately shut behind it.
A raven kept pace with Iden however*
.: Too bad... looks like your pet cat is mine now... or did you think we'd come out and play with you? Bombing our site would be bad for business. We couldnt let you do that...come and see me Iden. :.
*The Raven broke off and wheeled down into the plant, zooming up to the top floor, where it landed on Mathieu's arm, the strange mans bland eyes watching Iden with a cruel smirk*

:: Too bad indeed...I would have hoped this would have garnered your attention. I would have called, but you didn't leave a number last we met. ::
Now Iden's grim smirk was broadening. While Javos was lost, and that was bad...everything else was working well. It saved Iden the need for collateral damage on an obscene scale, at the least.
The ferret faded away, called to Iden when he saw where Javos was being taken. He had a feeling that before this was over, he would owe the poor feline far more than just a steak...but that was fine. For now, Iden sank back to the truck, and revved the engine. He had only a few blocks to go before he would reach the plant, so it wouldn't take long at all.
:: Now if you'd be so kind as to open up, so I needn't use my rockets... ::

I dont think he's quite caught on, has he? Nope. The child is a fool. Or prehaps he's used to defective kit?
*Two mangy cats sat on the seat of the truck next to Iden - the two from earlier. Close up, they were clearly NOT house cats. They looked like small versions of some kind of mountain lion. Ocelot's, prehaps. Before Iden's eyes, they started to change, looking cleaner and better groomed, the one growing into just what he had first appeared to be - an ocelot - while the second faded to grey - snow leopard.*
.: My... companions... are correct. You may try whatever you wish to open the doors, boy, but your weapons simply wont work. Take my word for it - keep tring with them and its only a matter of time before one backfires and Id HATE to see what a mess one of your fire bombs would make of you pretty face... and pretty much all the rest of you too for that matter... if it went off in your hands... :.
*Mathieu was still smirking, confident Iden would be able to see him from that distance. Behind him, yowling started up*
.digo: tsk tsk... seems your pet feline is better trained than I thought... he's just killed two of my men. That... vexes me. When we catch him, Iden, we're going to make him one of ours. A little birdy told me that was the Ceilican's greatest fear.... hurry now. He doesnt have much time left. :.
*The hint was there. All Iden had to do was put two and two together. the two cats in his truck leapt out the windows, taking off like streaks of lightning for the compound, laughing as they went*
((You can blame Luke in part for this Iden. Think of it as his retribution for you schemeing with me to eat him a few months back xd ))

:: Clearly, my foreign friend, you ignore ingeniuty. And clearly, my foreign friend, you mistake my intent. I am here for information...or else I would have simply called for the town to be decimated, without the risk of my own presence. ::
Iden wasn't kidding, to boot. He had the rockets, and the rockets would explode if he tinkered with them and made them to. It was not a question of faulty kit, or personal ignorance...Iden had suspected from the start, and was confirmed when the first wave were not detonated.
:: However, now that I have your attention...I will call off the cat, if you will, and end all hostilities, if only for the answer to a single yes or no question. I'd hate to have to conclude business on a hostile note just because my partner was mistreated. ::
Iden had stepped out of the truck by now, and even threw a smirk at the two felines present. The negotiations had started not as well as he had hoped...he had made a mistake in leaving Javos alone. But beyond that, everything was occuring as he had intended. Roan would kill him when she found out, of course...
And of course, Iden's kit was not all tampered with. His personal effects had not left his person since he had set himself up at his base camp. The ROMAN would work...as would Iden's .45s. He guarded them religiously on a job like this, as they were a lifeline.
((He already got me back for that one. Tell him that tips the scales, and I'll be cooking up some new way to screw the s**t over.))
