Anna-Marie's eyes glazed over momentarily. Someone was coming up to the tower. She saw that before she heard the footsteps. "Jake?" She said quietly to herself..
Carina nodded to Jillian. She was still a bit concerned about things, but Jake took off without saying a thing. Hopefully it would stay that way. . .

Christopher braced himself against the ball of human-shaped wind, placing a hand in front of his eyes to protect them. Christopher watched as craters appeared on the wall, ceiling, and floor in somewhat amazement.
"He's letting his anger take over and is getting extremely dangerous. I need to get Jillian out of-"
Before Christopher could finish his thought, the Slytherin boy had already casted another spell, this one a fire spell. Christopher watched as the boy made a whip-like chain of fire from his wand. His eyes grew wide as the boy whipped the chain at them.
PROTEGO! Christopher basically screamed in his mind.
Putting all of his possible energy into the spell, Christopher jumped in front of Jillian and casted the spell, envisioning in his mind a bubble that wrapped around both she and he. Hopefully his energy would be enough to deflect the deranged maniacs fire whip.

Great, Aideen thought when she saw Daniel standing there staring at her not speaking. Now he’s come to laugh at me because I was hare-brained enough to think that he could possibly like me. Aideen was too upset to even bother moving away when Daniel moved towards her. When he wrapped his arms around her Aideen’s body simultaneously stiffened and melted. The next thing she knew Daniel was kissing her. It took a few seconds for Aideen’s brain to actually register this; consequently, Aideen stood there with her eyes open looking like a fish. When her mind finally read and re-read the memo that her body was sending her, Aideen couldn’t help herself but to kiss Daniel back. For a few seconds everything in Aideen’s world was blissfully happy; no deatheaters, no tears, no Dark Lord. Then her mothers voice filled her mind: ”Never let a boy kiss you after he’s made you cry. He should know better than to let his tongue cut his throat..” Along with that voice, a bit of rage bubbled up at the recollection of the most recent events. Aideen pushed Daniel away and started at him. “ What do you think you’re doing?!” Aideen yelled at Daniel. “Do you think that you can come up and just kiss me after you’ve made me cry!?! I don’t care how much I do like you! I am not going to let you do that! If you want to kiss something so badly you can...you can póg mo thóin.

Raven slumped a little. "You don't remember Jillian much do you?" She said curiously. "She's on our side. Her grandfather was the owner of Borgin and Burkes down Knockturn Alley. Granted that he was racist against muggles and muggle borns, she doesn't see things that way. It took me forever to get her to trust me." she said practicaly rolling her eyes at the thought.
Jillian laughed as Devin yelped as the birds attacked him. Her laughter ceased as he held his wand in the air. A ball of air seemsed to meld into his body, expanding rapidly sending her birds against the walls in small thuds. Staring in shock, the air dissipated, while stone cracked as the explosion had pushed them back forcefully. As Devin took his stance, Jillian shook her head, and snapped into focus. Wand at the ready, she waited for his move. A flame protruded from his wand, and she wasted not a second more. "PETRIFICUS TOTALUS!" she said as Christopher stepped in to protect her, casting a non spoken spell. As he stepped in front of her she leaned to the left, finishing her spell aim at Devin.

His mouth opened when she started yelling at him and he searched for words that didn't exist. He shut his mouth halfway through her rant and opened it again as if to apologize but at the end he was left totally shocked at her reaction. This was worse than a slap to the face.
Silently he turned around and took a step to go back down the stairs. But that step missed one and suddenly he was tumbling down the stairs, not even bothering to stop the fall as he fell all the way to the bottom.
Once there he slowly got back up like a Zombie and walked up to the boys dorm, unaware that he had a cut on his head and the blood had dripped to the floor, or of the fact that his wrist was bruised and twisted.
Slowly closing the door behind him he got into bed and grabbed his own prized stuffed animal, a purple and hot pink cat named Fluffles, and hugged it to him as the tears that hadn't come out with Aideen now flooded his eyes and dripped down his cheeks.

Devin didn't say a word nor did his concentration waver as he kept on hissing, his arm moving up to engulf the spell from Jillian and dissipating it in mid-air. Then he brought it down, before pulling it back once more making the tip crack! against the Shield charm, shattering it.
Then he lashed out again looking to get them both with one strike.

Jake stood in the doorway and rubbed the back of his neck with his uninjured hand as he looked down a bit but facing Anna-Marie. "Look...I'm sorry I flew off the handle like that. I knew Dolohov was going to try something but I didn't think it was going to be like that."

Aideen watched Daniel as he turned to walk away. Serves him right, she thought. When she turned to go back into the girls dorm she heard the noise. Aideen turned around just in time to see Daniel go careening down the stairs, and Aideen's conscience began to eat her up. Even if he was a jerk to me he didn't deserve to fall down the stairs. She watched him walk off to the boys dorm feeling like a schmuck. That's when she noticed the blood, which triggered her memories of Daniel bumping his head earlier. Aideen gasped and ran into the room and began rummaging through her drawer. "Ah-ha!" she exclaimed in triumph as she sprinted out of the door with a pack of Disney princess band-aids in hand. Even though it was muggle stuff, she had taken a fancy to the Disney princesses. Aideen made it all the way to the boys dorm with a feeling of triumph. She felt as though she could conquer the whole world, but as Aideen stood outside the door all of that drained out of her. Her mind began to race. What if he never wants to see me again? And what if because he doesn't want to see me he doesn't let me help him? And because of that what if he loses so much blood before anybody finds him that he dies? Then it would all be MY fault! With that Aideen began banging a weird cadence on the door. "Daniel!" she yelled, "Daniel, I'm sorry for yelling at you. I'm not mad at you. Please open the door Daniel. "

Evans looked towards the door and watched the door move with each knock but didn't answer it. She's here to laugh at me. I kissed her and she yells at me. How could I ever had a chance with someone like her? He thought to himself as he laid down on the bed feeling sleepy, curling up into a ball around Fluffles and silently crying himself to sleep.

No response! Aideen resolved to keep banging on the door until she got an answer. "Daniel! You're bleeding! A lot." At this point, Aideen was just yelling things to get Daniel's attention and get him to come to the door, not really caring what information she let him and everybody else who could hear her know "And if you fall asleep you could go into a coma. And then die. And then I would have killed the guy I like because I caused him to fall down the stairs. Indirectly. DANIEL! OPEN THE DOOR!" Aideen was getting fed up; her hands hurt. If he doesn't open the door by the time I count to five I'm going to break it down. Aideen yelled at the door once more "You have to the count of five to open the door. I am not about to let you bleed to death." Gosh, Aideen though, I feel like the big bad wolf.

Daniel groaned a bit wanting to sleep and forget all that has happened. Aideen's words passed over him like the wind and he did not hear a bit she said, but he did get up and walk to the door opening it to tell her to shut up or something.
By then the blood from his forehead had caused him to close one eye as it seeped down his face and to his chin dripping all over his uniform. He opened the door and stared at Aideen, his unused arm, and twisted wrist clutching onto Fluffles. "What do you want?" He asked, sounding as cold as Ice.

Jillian stepped in front of Christopher, and shouted, "Aguamenti!". A large, pressurized stream of water forced its way out of her wand, dousing Devin's fire spell, as well as Devin. "If you'd stop fighting out of anger, and taking your issues out on us then maybe you'd stand a chance." Just then, footsteps could be heard as professor Flitwick, the Charms teacher, stepped around the corner. Jillian gasped unsure if she should hide her wand, or continue to stand up for herself.

Aideen stood there and was about to start her count to five when she heard footsteps followed by the door opening. She lowered her head when Daniel glared at her. "You're bleeding quite a bit." She looked up and saw the blood running down his face; Aideen instantly grew much paler than her already white Irish skin. Hold it together Aideen, she talked herself up, now isn't the time to passing out because of a wee bit o' blood. Aideen took a deep breath, "And Madam Pomfrey told you that you couldn't fall asleep just in case you did have a concussion. And if that happens you could die." Aideen looked down. I don't think he cares, she sulked. "And I don't want to have been the cause of the death of the guy that I really like," Aideen said softly still looking down.
She looked up again and held out the box of Disney Princess band-aids that she had been clutching, but the sight of all the blood caught her eye. She went pale again, and her hearing and vision followed her skin tone out the window. Aideen grew increasingly warm. "I brought...these...for you," was the last audible thing that she understood. Aideen went to go lean against the door frame, but with her vision having been replaced with blindness she missed the frame and fell in a crumpled heap on the floor at Daniel's feet.

Anna-Marie bit her lip as Jake came rushing in to the room. She was still waiting for Tommy's response, and Jake was running his mouth. Plus, the fool was hurt, she noted. She shook her head at him. "You egged him on, Jake...What did you expect?"
"Yes, I remember her. My mind is a bit preoccupied at the moment...." Carina explained flushing slightly. "So, what were we going to do before heading to class?" She asked, having forgotten due to her roaming thoughts.. .

Devin saw the growing number of people behind Jillian and Christopher and became blind to the fact that the bout he started was gathering a growing number of people behind him as mere observers and onlookers drawn to the sound of the duel.
He grew paranoid and grinned slightly. "You're all against me. All of you. Dumbledore's Army isn't dead and dispersed. They're all right here under our noses. The Carrows don't know it and Snape is too afraid to confront you all. Well I have a message for all of you! You're all dead!" To him he was thinking all this in his head, but in reality he was screaming it out.
Once again he took that weird stance, one foot in front of the other, palms pressing against each other straight out in front of him with his wand in-between. "I call to thee, the monster who serves me for all my wicked ways. The destroyer of all good and the Vanguard of the Dark Lord. Reveal yourself! Fiend Fyre!"
Green electricity sparked from the tip of his wand and green fire erupted from it. Once again he grabbed the wand in his right hand and raised it up with the tip pointing down. The fire spewed onto the floor and spiraled into a tunnel that built up until the end facing Jillian and Christopher formed into that of a Serpent-like Dragon.
Devin laughed maniacally and brought his wand down in what could only be described as a slice. "DESTROY THEM!" He screamed, almost as if the fire itself were alive, and it seemed to move like it was as it rushed the two students and two professors.

Daniel wasn't that cold hearted. When she fainted he dropped Fluffles and caught her before she fully hit the ground. Not knowing what to do thinking he had killed her somehow he panicked and left Fluffles next to the box of band-aids as he carelessly started to drag Aideen to the Infirmary.
Once outside of the Gryffindor tower he turned a corner and successfully dragged his fellow house mate to the Infirmary door before collapsing to the floor more out of exhaustion than blood loss.

Jake rubbed the back of his neck more gingerly. "Well I was expecting him to walk away- I know I know...I was a little naive thinking that given our previous encounters, but can you really blame me?" He gave a full-motioned shrug and a funny, lopsided grin to get her to laugh or do something...
Then a loud bang that had echoed throughout the halls to reach his ears made him drop his hopes and he looked towards the way he had come up. Instinctively his hand had rested on his sword and he listened more carefully trying to identify the noise.

Raven hugged her friend. "It's okay. The only thing we have left to do is find someone before we go to class." She said with a smile. Off in the distance of the hallways, Raven heard a loud bang. "Did you hear that?" She said unknowing of the duel between Devin, Jillian, and Christopher.
Draco looked over his shoulder. "Yeah I heard that. It sounds like a duel is going on. I hope Jillian's alright. She's too nice to be caught up in a duel, but still I know how some of the students are towards people in the Hufflepuff house." he said shaking his head sadly. "I can't believe I ever used to be that way."

After blacking out Aideen sat around in her unconscious mind. It had been well furnished since she had spent a good deal of her childhood there from all of the accidents she had gotten her clumsy self into. Well, this is just great, Aideen though. Before Aideen knew it she was regaining consciousness and she heard a loud bang. It didn't really register to Aideen that it could have indicated something gone wrong. When her eyes finally focused enough, Aideen began to sit herself up and suddenly noticed that she was no longer in the Gryffindor tower. She started to panic. Where am I? "Hello! Daniel? Anna-Marie? Neville? Anybody?" As she moved around on the floor backing up against a wall she noticed that also on the floor with her was Daniel and he was still bleeding. Aideen gasped. "Oh no! she said to herself. "I've killed him!" Finally Aideen realized where she was. She was right outside the infirmary. But, how in the name of Mary did I get here? She looked back down at Daniel and understood.
Aideen stood up, albeit a bit wobbly, and rushed into the infirmary." Madam Pomfrey! Madam Pomfrey! Daniel. He's...he's bleeding...and passed out again and in front of the infirmary. I think he might be dead." Aideen began to cry. "And it's all my fault!"
Madam Pomfrey was making one of the beds in the infirmary when she heard yelling. She turned and walked towards the doors and found Aideen Quinn yelling and crying. From what she could understand, Daniel Evans had passed out again, was bleeding, was in front of the infirmary and somehow it was all Aideen's fault. "Calm down, child," Pomfrey said handing Aideen a tissue. Pomfrey walked over to the doors and sure enough, Daniel Evans was lying on the floor covered in blood. Madam Pomfrey bent down and found that Daniel was still breathing. She looked up at Aideen, "He's not dead, dear." Pomfrey returned her attention back to Daniel. "Daniel? Daniel can you hear me?"
