Devon laughed. "Oh that. He's still getting over the shock of his coming baby. He'll get over it. Bo is milking it a bit." he said.

Lark laughed at the look on Fredrick's face as he whirled around to see Scott looking for more eggnog and he seemed to be still whining poor man. "So did you invest in that bomb shelter we talked about Devon?"Fred asked his alpha

Devon nodded. "Several days ago. You made a valid point. It's a good idea." he said, taking another sip. "I do want your help looking over the preparations"
Kila frowned. "If you don't mind me asking...? What do you need a bomb shelter for?" she asked.

Lark giggled in a nervous fasion. "Kila the she-wolf that is under discussion is my best friend Bo over there." Lark pointed over to where Bo was in her green dress with Sheryl in tow who was in blue. "Since she is expecting she is about to go insane in the months to come and we all need a place to hide hence the boys and there bomb shelter. "

Devon shrugged. "Not insane so much as intensely territorial and easily angered. We had one, but I'm afraid it is extremely outdated and no longer usable." he explained further.
Kila looked really unnerved and blushed. "Oh. I see."

Lark sighed and shock her head at the boys it would be interesting to she the new ways in which Bo would try and poke fun at her mate. "By the way Devon don't expect me to save you from her." Lark stated causing Frederick to laugh at the look on Devon's face. "So Devon who are the humans talking to you mom?"

Devon looked over. "Those are Lark's parents, Mr. and Mrs. Glass. Lark do you want to introduce them to Fred? I think they are a little nervous around me." he said. "And if you don't mind, I think I would like a few private words with Kila."

She left after that talking to Theresa and her parents before Bo came over and bear hugged Fred.

Devon talked with Kila steadily. Just to help explain to her anything Fred couldn't and to reinforce what she was learning already. He was stern as he should be, but he kept it short for the sake of the festivities.
Bo was bursting with energy tonight and she was so glad to see Fred again. Where his mate was she wasn't sure. "Fred! It's good to see you." she said, squeezing him tight before backing off. "Have you heard the news?"

Fred chuckled a little at the bear hug that recieved from his packmate, he was seemingly light hearted but mostly though he was worried about Kila this was the farested he has been from his new found mate since she was transformed. Turning to Bo he said with a wild grin on his face, "Lark and Devon beat you too it, your pregant.
Lark hid behind her mom a little as Fred ratted her out. She glanced over at Devon curious a nd a bit jealous.

Bo pouted and crossed her arms. "Darn it. Of course you know. Well, good to know the word it spreading." she remarked. She shot a look at Lark. "But excuse me. Mr. and Mrs, Glass. It's really good to meet you two."
Soon Devon smiled and gave Kila a pat on the shoulder. Kila's expression was a mixture of annoyance and acceptance. She looked at her feet and took a deep breath. Devon didn't blame her. It was a lot to take in, all the rule she was not subject to. Sometime it felt like you had no freedom. But there was, and she would see that soon. They walked over to Lark and the others and Kila took hold of Fred's hand. Devon put his arm around Lark. "Enjoying yourselves?"

The rest of the night went well, everyone talked about coming up Christmas and other things. When more drink went around it got a bit roudy, but it didn't last long. People slowly began to trickle out by then. Soon everyone was gone and they cleaned up before retiring. It had been a long an eventful night.

Devon looked down at her. "What I usually tell all new wolves. That the wolf will always be fighting her if she tries to resist, but she can't let it run free. I'm the alpha and she is going to be swayed by my commands. The normal run through. Why?" he asked. He was running his fingers through her hair.
