"Theresa is busy with supper and Devon is preoccupied." he replied. He looked at her picture was curiosity. A part of him wanted to see, but another didn't really care. It was her business.
"Ready to have the entire pack here?" he said.

Lark leaned back in her chair taking a bite of her sandwich while she gathered her thoughts. "I'll be happy to see Bo and Sheryl again." She answered carefully because she didn't want to admit she was still unsure of how to feel around the pack.

Kaleb wasn't blind. Years of reading people made it obvious to him that Lark was nervous. This didn't bother him none.The pack was their problem and Lark would learn to deal with them.
"You'll be fine." He said patting her on the back. "At least you aren't like my wife. She liked ordering people around too much. Had to reign her in." He told her with a stoic expression.

"How can you say that with a straight face?" Lark asked him smiling a little at the image that came to mind she almost wished she could have saw that. Lark was grateful for the small comfort he had given her

Kaleb winked. "Years of practice. I can't just laugh at my wife's expense." he said simply. "Or perhaps I am being totally serious." he added to see if it would throw her a little.

Lark was indeed thrown and she fell silent as she tried to figure out if Kaleb was serious or not. She had finished the sandwich and now she was drinking the beverage Theresa had also sent up.

Kaleb rose and walked to the door. "See you at the party. Oh! And don't shy from the pack. It's good to get to know everyone." he suggested.

Lark sighed and went back to work a couple of hours later she came down finished with Devon's gift at last. She wrapped it very nicely and she held it carefully, she went straight in her room and went to sleep getting the rest she sorely needed.

Evening came all too soon with food laid out on a long table that was pulled out. Theresa was in the kitchen most of the day soon joined by a Kyle Gerbaur. A local chek that was also pack.He often helped with Christmas dinner. More came to help set up and even more for that actual party, until the house was full of wolves.
Devon stood talking and laughing with a group of the guys. He'd woken Lark all of two hours ago. She was around somewhere, but he lost track of her only a few moments ago.

Lark had been snatched up by Bo and the other females of the pack. Bo's figure was starting to get curvier and she was going from laughing a lot to clinging to her and Sheryl. Lark just chalked it up to hormones and talking to the other girl's about random things until her parents showed up and she hung out with them

Mr. and Mrs. Glass stood a little apart from everyone. They were still getting used to be around non-threatening crowds and the noise seemed to make them uncomfortable. But they were trying.
They found Lark and she was doing a lot to help them relax, as was the ones who stopped briefly for a small polite conversation with the soon-to-be queen and her current company.
"How have you and Devon been doing lately. You haven't come by in some time." Alice said after awhile.

"I'm sorry mom, I just got so busy with making everyone's gifts time just got pass me is all." Lark explained to her parents standing a little closer to them hoping to make them more comfortable with her presence. "Devon and I are okay even though we had a misunderstanding last night but he made it up to me by giving me this." She exposed her neck to show them the pendant he had given her.

"Oh that's beautiful," she cooed. "He really knows how to make it up to a girl." she said with a chuckled. "You look so beautiful and grown up! Have you all been discussing wedding plans?"
"It seems I don't have to worry about you being taken care of." her father chuckled, casting his eyes around the large house.

'Thanks mom, and dad don't worry about me, Devon loves me so of course he'll take care of me." She smiled and hugged both of her parents. "To answer your question mom no I haven't really, I would like to have a summer weather but Devon isn't exactly a summer person so maybe a spring wedding."

"I can't wait to help you pick out a dress!" Alice stated, excited. It was nice to do something normal and at least they were here to see their daughter married. She squeezed her husbands hand.
