((I seriously would if I weren't lazy. xD
Cooking is easy, though. O: It's just like little cheats that make it good... like if you've ever tried a strawberry cake from mix, it's pretty bad... So the easiest way to make a really good (and really easy) strawberry cake is to use vanilla cake mix and strawberry jello mix. :3 ))
Shin grinned. "My mom taught me... and so did my uncle, a bit. He's a chef, so he's really good," he explained before taking another small sip. He leaned back against the counter, setting his mug down smoothly for just a moment. "Anyway... you kind of have to learn how to cook when there's no one there to do it for you," he murmured, shrugging.
But his eyes seemed to have clouded slightly. He hadn't had much of anyone to... cook for him or anything, apart from the maid (who only really came because Shin couldn't risk cleaning around anything sharp). So he had taught himself, for the most part.

"Lou usually gave me his seed when Wei wouldn't feed me," Haro said, almost nonchalant as he ran a finger against the rim of his mug. "But sometimes he'd...he'd aleady eated-... he'd had it already, so...you know," he murmured, glaring at the ground a bit before looking up.
"I'm glad you've made a habit of feeding me, I think I'm too skinny," he added with a frown before taking a large gulp of hot chocolate.

((I must be a real perve. I was totally reading something else into that. D: *shoots self*))
Wei had deprived Haro of food... had hurt him and... He'd done many things to the poor boy. Shin reached down for his mug and took a hasty sip, swallowing slightly uncomfortably, before he murmured, "I wouldn't want to make you unhappy by not feeding you..." His tone made it rather ambiguous as to whether it was a joke... or whether he was dead serious. It really was quite impossible to tell.

[[...Wow, I'm surprised I didn't see that. x______x;; Omg, ew, no. NOOOO. XD Seed as in bird seed. XD joweirhj-934hjoJOjh09e]]
"Well, if you ever got sick or something, I think I could manage. I could make a sandwich, or eat some berries- like the red kinds that are on the plants outside. I see some birds eat those sometimes, so I guess I could, too," he murmured with a sweet smile, taking another slow sip before downing the rest, a series of light tremors running through him at the sudden heat.
"Wei never...he never stopped feeding me for very long, only few days so it wasn't really that bad. My owner was gone a lot but he'd always feed me when he got home so it was okay," he said softly, leaning against the counter. He knew he didn't talk about life with Wei very often, only when he got too upset...but if Shin ever wanted to know what had happened he wouldn't keep anything from him.
[[@Izm: Nnng, I can't really remember. x_x;;]]
[/edit] [[Yey, I found it! XD]]
This is what he would say as he presented the single book he found (even though he was supposed to bring back three) like a rare and valuable artifact. 'Oh Sir, won't you accept this humble sacrifice to your...awesomeness. I brought doughnuts, and the hazelnut coffee you like~ Why don't we discuss your current stories over said pastries???' Get the man thinking about food or coffee, but only as a last option. Talk about coffee was dangerous because, he, himself did not drink the vile stuff, so the conversation wouldn't last long...
He rehearsed and re-rehearsed the plan over in his mind as he waited in line to check out his book.

(( 8D;; Don't worry, I understood. Which is why Shin didn't totally spazz out.))
Shin paused a moment and glanced down at the other, debating whether or not to say it. He... didn't want to hurt the other's feelings by slightly debunking his plans... but he also didn't want Haro to die or anything.
"I think those berries are poisonous..." Shin said at last, glancing down at his mug, which was currently clasped between his two pale palms.
((Ehhh... Shin isn't inspiring me. D: ))

[[Sorry 'bout that, I had to go take my doggy out. x3]]
Haro blinked several times over, "I...but I thought I saw some birds eating them," he mumbled with a frown. "Oh well, I guess I'd just live off of a strict diet of peanut butter and jelly sandwiches," he said with a grin, setting his mug down in the sink, running water in it before pouring it out with a splash, water droplets sailing upwards hoping to catch a breeze and fly away.
They ended up being caught within Haro's sweater as he mopped up the counter. "Ne, Shin? Do you see your family ever?" He asked, thinking that if he had a family of his own he'd try and see them more, but the only person he'd seen from Shin's family, save the tiger himself, was his cousin Ryan.

"Not that much, apart from Ryan," Shin admitted after a moment's pause and a small sigh. He looked rather unhappy about the matter. "They're all so busy working... what with Mother in the hospital and paying for my medical needs and everything... They have to work very hard to support us. Mom's side, that is..." He took a final sip from his own mug and then set to washing it himself.
As the hot water washed over his (still bandaged) hands, he explained furthur. "My father's side of the fmaily is very rich... my mother's isn't. My father was supposed to marry some other rich person... but he married Mom instead, so his family was very mad at him. We pretty much lost all connection with them.... I think the only time I ever saw them was at my father's funeral and they were... not at all kind. They blamed Mother for his death...." A small sigh escaped the dark-haired teen's lips as he turned off the water and began to dry his mug.

[[Grr, had to take out Molly again.]]
Haro frowned lightly, "Oh." Curling hands behind his back, the slender teen started to say something at how sad that sounded, but stopped. He didn't really know much about death. He didn't know much about true loss...
He knew about pain, and he knew about sadness (he'd seen Wei kill an innocent mouse once), but that was about it. He knew about happy times and love and warmth and kisses and snuggles. Giving the tiger a hug, the boy pressed a sad expression against his chest, "'Mm sorry about your family," he murmured, realizing with a shiver that such a mean sounding family...and such a strained family didn't sound like the tolerant-kind.
But Shin had said he was sure...

((S'alright. I was eating dinner, anyway. O:
By the way, have you ever listened to the band Shiny Toy Guns? I'm totally hooked on their song "Chemistry of a Car Crash." <333))
"It's alright. I mean... we deal with it. We do our best," Shin murmured, his long, pale arms wrapping losely around the boy's small frame. He liked holding Haro. It felt very... comfortable. Warm... nice... comfortable... happy.
His shoulders shrugged up slightly as he yawned widely and then settled back down. "Mmm... I think I need to go sleep... what about you..?" he asked slowly. This sudden onset of sleepyness had come on quite unexpectedly - or perhaps not after all the stress of the day.

[[Never heard of them or the song before, but I'm listening to them on youtube now. XD]]
Full of nervous energy, the adrenaline having not quite faded, Haro shurgged stiffly. "Nm, I guess I...could try to go to sleep," he said in a soft, almost scared, tone. The boy was very good at hiding certain feelings from view. He had been terrified that Benji would find him...but Shin- Oh god, when he had seen it was only Shin he had been so happy he wanted to cry. But it had been too cold out for tears.
Rubbing at his eyes discreetly, brushing away wet, the boy nodded gently, "M'kay, well good night," he mumbled, cheeks burning as he turned his head towards the ground. He had been so so scared, and he still wasn't sure if he was completely safe. If Shin was completely safe... and that was what scared him most.

((So you're listening to "Le Disko"?
Another place to hear free music is radioblogclub.com It's good and it has a few of their songs. :3 ))
Shin was, even in his tired state, very closely attuned to the other. "If you're not tired, you don't need to try and sleep," he murmured softly. "We could... watch a movie... or, I don't know, I could read you something... I might fall asleep, but it'd be fun." A small smile graced the pale teen's lips. There was some small (not really small at all) protective part of himself that didn't want to leave Haro by himself. Maybe he would ask Haro if he wanted to share the same room (to protect against anyone trying to steal the boy away again).

[[I'm just listening to Chemistry of a car crash. >3]]
Haro shook his head, "If you're tired you should go to bed. I don't want to keep you up," he murmured with a soft smile, leaning up to twirl small fingers through dark purple hair. "The sentiment is very much appreciated though," he added with a widened grin, golden eyes glinting brightly.
Haro wasn't sure if Shin would take no for an answer. The older of the two seemed to be stubborn in the best of ways, he just wanted to make the bird happy- But Haro couldn't have a zombie tiger walking around either. Pressing an almost chaste kiss to the corner of Shin's mouth, Haro almost laughed as he skipped off suddenly, blankets still wrapped around him, for the stairs.
Orange eyes stared up at white plaster. God, this night had sucked. He figured it couldn't get much worse though... Wei would be mad that his delivery was going to be late, but the ******** b*****d could wait just a little bit longer.
[[I was so bored last night and maniped this doll photo. x3 I did it once but...my program died. I think one turned out a little better. I didn't edit the eye color though because the brown was so dark and I didn't think I could get a good color from them without it looking grainy or dull. o_x;

Buwahahala[04-i545 -loser- Unfortunately, the wig sucked so the style is off, but oh well. The colors came out better than I thought they would. x3
I also made one of Shin because I'm weird. The original doll/and photo doesn't look like this, I edited the facial features quite a bit, but oh well. x3 I like how this one turned out, sort of. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v236/dawndusk/shindollmanipXD.png ]]

((Cuuute. :3 <3333
If you send me some pics, I can do some edits (when I find time). ninja
I did this one of me last year where I put an eyeball in my mouth. 8D;; ))
Shin sighed slightly as he watched the other go, a faint smile growing into prominence on his lips, his bright eyes glimmering slightly. He turned back to the sink and finished washing up the pot he had used to heat up the milk and then dried and put that away.
He remained downstairs a little while longer, taking the time to change his bandages. He carefully unwrapped the old, damp ones revealing the glass-shredded skin and scars. He wrapped his hands up again equally carefully. The scars were beginning to close over and heal... but he had to leave the bandages on, still, to protect against infection.
He then finally made his way upstairs, pausing for a moment in front of the boy's door. But he didn't go in. After a small pause, he proceeded to his own room and then changed out of his heavy jacket and hat and into a clean pair of Pajamas.
