Consciousness began to make its way throughout Jessica's body as slowly as it had left. She could feel pressure against her chest, though she was not fully aware of what was going on. She still felt as if her lungs were being clung onto tightly, disabling her ability to breathe. Water still filled her lungs, and it didn't leave her until Ace had transfered his own breath into her body. It was at that moment that Jessica started to become a bit aware of what was going on. Immediately, she coughed up water, shoving Ace's body away from her own in disgust of his putrid lips touching her own. However, her body became limp after doing so, making it so that she simply laid there, coughing and trying to breathe.

Ace felt himself being pushed away from Jessica, and at that moment, he knew she was now alive. He had saved her life.
"Jessica!" Ace shouted with a smile, grateful that she was not dead. "Are you okay?"

Jessica nodded, even though she was still coughing a bit. Though finally, once the water had stopped coming out of her lungs she looked towards Ace. "Mhmm." Any sort of gratefulness that she should've been showing him at that moment was most definately not being expressed by the expression her face. "Of course the idea of your lips anywhere near mine disgusts me...."
Honestly that statement wasn't even true anymore.

"What else was I supposed to do? Let you die?" Ace asked Jessica, but continued to smile at her. He sighed and stood up.
"Where are we anyway?" Ace asked looking around. Only now was when he first realized that he was away from the forest. This thought never occurred to him ever since Ace first found out that Jessica was drowning. Weren't they supposed to be in front of the forest beside Katherine?

"Well, I don't know you could've done something else! But-" Jessica snapped at him, her arms crossed at that point. I didn't- She quickly stopped her thoughts, the boy might be able to read her mind. That was going to be a nuisance, she was going to have to make sure she set up proper mind blocks. Letting Ace know that she honestly didn't mind the proximity between them wasn't exactly a good thing.
Sighing, Jessica then looked around, sitting up at that point, with her legs stretched out in front of her. "I don't know..." She finally then said in reply to his later comment.

Ace sighed a second time and then spotted a cabin near by. Perhaps it would have food in it. This would be a nice place for the two to take a little break.
"Let's rest there," Ace said as he pointed to the lake. In Ace's opinion, it was unlikely that Jessica would be the person that would want to rest, but Ace was. And his hunger began taking control of him. Plus, all of the ash in his lungs made him feel dehydrated. There just had to be water and food in that cabin.

"Rest?!" Jessica asked, the thought sounding like a horrible thing to do. "W-We need to find Katherine." She then added quickly. The thought of being stuck alone with Ace any longer wasn't exactly what she wanted, and it wasn't because she hated him. Instead, it was because she feared what could happen.
She then sighed, closing her eyes for a moment. "I guess we could rest for a little while..." Her words left her lips softly, as if she didn't wish to say them.
Oh well, maybe getting closer to the boy wouldn't be such a bad thing.

"Good!" Ace said with relief in his calm, gentle voice. He turned towards the cabin and walked. It was a rather short hike there, so they made their destination about a minute or two.
Once they reached the cabin, Ace peered in through the window of the cabin and looked inside. He could not tell what it looked like, due to all of the dust stuck to the glass of the window.
"Let's go in." Ace told Jessica and turned the doorknob. It made a loud, squeaky noise that gave chills into his back. He pushed opened the door and it slowly creaked open.

Jessica blinked once the loud creaky door opened. Slowly she peered inside, sticking her head through the doorway first before walking completely in. She immediately noticed that the cabin seemed well kept. In fact, it looked as if someone lived there or that it was meant for people to go live there. It was probably a getaway of sorts.
Great. She was in a getaway with Ace.
"So...what now?"

Ace walked inside after Jessica, and noticed how tidy it looked. This place wasn't half bad.
"I don't know," he replied to Jessica's comment, "Mabey we should find some food. Where's the kitchen?"

"How am I supposed to know?" Jessica asked Ace, still acting irritated at his presence. It was far easier to act mad at him then get close to the boy. It was merely how things worked for Jessica. "I've never been here before..."

"Sorry. . . Just asking." Ace mumbled and walked over to one of the twin beds. He was beginning to regret saving Jessica's life. Why did she hate him so much? Whatever the reason, Ace was becoming more and more annoyed by her behavior.
He lay in the bed and listened to his stomach rumble. It was pure torture. And it now seemed unlikely that there would be left behind food in this cabin.

"I-It's okay." Jessica said in reply, dutifully following Ace as he moved about the cabin. She knew she was crossing the boundary line when it came to how mean she was being towards the boy, but she couldn't help it. There was too much at risk... right? "Sorry that I didn't quite teleport us right." She then said once he plopped down onto the bed, in attempt to lighten up the overall mood.

"It's fine." Ace said, but not agreeing with his words. He badly wanted to be back at the school right now. Why did they even place that large, dangerous forest in that school in the first place? Did they want all of the students to die in there?
But all of this seemed like his fault from the beginning. If it wasn't for him, the three of them wouldn't have even run into that forest.
"Hey, but now that we're in a much more calm place, your mind may be able to focus more on teleporting us back. Right?"

Jessica nodded, a far off look expressed on her face. "Yea..." She began lost in her though. For she was still puzzled about why she had had such trouble teleporting in the first place. That had never happened before... Ah well, she had never trasported Ace before, so the problem was probably his fault. At least, that was what she told herself.
