Hi, I'm Mistreena. I'm 17, in my senior year of high school, and love art. I have tried writing stories, and though fun, they often die before they are even a chapter long. I like to draw, paint, edit photos in photoshop, and work on my website. Some of my favorite bands are the Dropkick Murphys, 16th Avenue, Nickleback, and Avril Lavigne. My favorite movies would be LOTR, HP, Eragon, the Departed, Van Helsing, etc. I have a lot of favorites. Glad to be here and thanks for allowing me to join. biggrin

Hello All,
My name is Nathero, I'm 21 and I work at a web based company as a creative assistant/graphic designer. I started drawing as soon as I could hold a pencil/crayon/marker. I took classes all through elementary including summer classes at a local college, I took a break in middle school for personal reasons and started again in highschool. I took two years of college and got my A.A.S in Graphic Design. I took classes such as photography, commercial photography, digital imaging, life drawing, painting, illustration, typography, advertising, and of course-graphic design.
However I'm not l337, I dreampt of going to SCAD or RSAD but unfortunately didn't have the money or the time, so I'm living with my boyfriend and working full time in my field. (Experience is good, and I get paid for it) As for my art itself; Unfortunately I don't have my schooly/workish portfolio online but I do illustration in my spare time, check out my gaian journal for some older pieces. Most are saved low res and watermarked, so if it looks pixelated that is done on purpose, I have all the files saved high res, unwatermarked, with layers in case I ever need them.
I like to draw with mechanical pencils, blue lead and regular. I use photoshop and a wacom tablet. I have also used freehand and illustrator and I love both; however I don't have either program right now.
As for artists I really like Caravaggio, Francisco Goya, Leonardo Da vinci, Michelangelo, Polyclitus (greek artist/sculptor who wrote a book "The cannon" mapping out ideal proportions) Music wise I'll listen to most everything so long as it has a good beat and composition. Movies, I like a multitude, I have litterally hundreds, including some anime. I'm a star wars fan, I also like V for Vendetta, Stargate, The Crow, Lord of the rings and other probably nerdy movies. Anime wise I'm not a naruto/toonami/cartoon network follower. I don't just like whats on the networks. Some of my favorites are Green Green, Gravitation, Chobits, Gundam Wing, Outlaw Star, Escaflowne, Those who hunt elves, and Night Walker.

Hobbies- writing, acting, singing (choir, alto), reading, napping, drawing, watercolor, and starting oil pastels
Pets- My 17 year old cat died at Thanksgiving. Her name was Pam. cry
Favourite drawing programs/tools- I have a little tablet and Corel Painter 9 and Photoshop, but I prefer "real life" mediums so far- still playing though.
Favourite artists/bands/movies - classic rock, lots of science fiction and old classic movies, I like Impressionist art a lot, no anime
