Mariam glanced at the leash that Memry had in his hands.
"Mhm..." she said thoughtfully as she looked back to Memry, "do you want me to...?"
She tilted her head to one side questioningly.
'This...could be interesting...' she thought to herself.

 MEMRY HIEN-ZIET "Myu?..." Staying silent, Memry looked down at the leash, then looked up at her, slowly holding out the leash attached to his collar to her. "I-I... d-do..." he replied nearly silently. "Myuuuu..."

Mariam raised her eyebrows at the motion.
"You..." she started, casting a glance in the assistant woman in charge momentarily, wondering what she would have to say about this.
"I..." she said, at a loss for words for once.
She looked at Memry and then at the woman, and then back at Memry again.
'Well now, in this kind of situation, what's more to do than to just act without thinking?' she thought as she took his leash after some hesitation.
She pulled him towards her by the leash until they were almost nose to nose.
"What was that last thing you said?" Mariam asked, smiling slightly as she looked up at him.

MEMRY HIEN-ZIET "Myu?..." Memry blushed brightly, resisting the urge to let out a mew. "I-I want M-Miss Mari as my m-mistress..." he replied nervously. "Myuuuu..."

Mariam's smile broadened and then she shook her head slightly.
"Whaaat? Why would you want that?~" she asked with a light laugh, releasing her hold on Memry's leash a bit, "you don't even really know me!"
She scoffed softly.
'But who does anymore?' she thought to herself.
"I don't know," she said with some caution but her smile remained, "you might regret that later, Memry..."

"'Nice'? I'm not...." Mariam said, shaking her head.
"I'm really not..." she mumbled again with a sigh.
'I'm a screwed up mess,' she thought to herself, 'and I'm... it's not like I'm... I'm not nice.... What 'nice' person would accidentally kill people?! And I have control issues...'
She took a deep breath in and let it out slowly. She kind of wanted to tell Memry all that she had just thought and reveal that she was not the person he thought she was. Whatever he thought. But it just wasn't that easy.
'Blame anti-socialism,' she thought.
Mariam reached out and stroked Memry's cheek lightly and softly said, "you don't know me..."
She dropped her hand and put on her smile again. "Ah, not that we're the ones with all the say in here~" she said, if only to change the subject.
