(Yeah, I made Ace for this story originally and ended up using him in Pandora's Mark. But decided to do some retuning and made Eca with those old and new ideas.)

"Good idea on buying a spare. Hmm, we seem to have a bit of time. Perhaps we can head to Eca? The Guild is something you probably want to go to bright and early. Don't want to dare go in the night and they send us off on something crazy quest." Said Eric, some of the worse monsters the worlds has to offer usually came out at night.

Eric also nodded his head. "That's what she told us, a big w-wrench." He paused and looked up, sure enough the was a big wrench, just like Eca said. However it was a real working wrench! Just extremely large, as if it was meant for a giant instead. The thing was struck in the concrete in front of the store.

"You know, she said look for a a big wrench as her sign, I did not think she meant a litteral wrench..."

They walked around aimlessly in the shop. Eventually, they did find Eca. She was at the drawing board working on calculations for the armor, she heard them come in and turned her chair around.

"Oh, you two showed up. I managed to design an armor that was functional, comfortable and had a bit of style to it." She stepped on a floor panel, several large sheet of paper came down with design drawing and notes and formulas. Even going as far as how much DEF, ATK, ATR & DUR it had, whatever those were supposed to mean.

"What do you think, Mina?"

Eric was baffled by whatever half the stuff was supposed to mean. "Girl's practically a genius..."

"Oh, didn't want to be thrown into a nightrunner's quest, huh? I made a lot of things, though it's pretty difficult now without Wind or Flame Crystals."

"At the risk of a wild explanation what are Wind Crystals?"

"I'm glad you ask." She leaped off the chair and pulled a cord which in turn brought out another large diagram, one of a ring and also of a diamond. She pulled a retractable stick out of her glove and pointed it to the diagrams

"Wind Crystals are just scraped off shards of the the Wind World Ring, those Rings make up our worlds. Wind Ring is from Unin, Flame Ring is Duon, Frost Ring is us Tresions. Get the idea, right? Flame Ring never leaves where it's hidden, but sometimes crystals are found. As for the Wind, well ever since that world's gone in the crapper, scientists here have been passing it around and analyzing it. The one at the breeding home got it once, something about an idea she had for some kind of booster that used shards of all the rings. Anyway, I snatched some crystals for her and it was absolutely amazing to work with! I used them for the box." She said excitedly, all the things she could had made with it, but she used it all on the box. Well worth it though.

"Uh huh, I wanted to use on your armor. It would make the 'grow with you' function much easier to accomplish. You'll have to come back when you need me to tweak the stomach plates till I can upgrade the armor with the proper crystals." Explained Eca, she would have to get to work on that armor soon. Then they heard the stomach growl..

Eric sighed and shook his head. "Now's not the time to get cravings, Mina"

Eca chuckled at their banter. Whatever they were, she thought they made a cute couple. "Well I hope you aren't pregnant longer than you can stand it. Oh, and if you're hungry, feel free to raid what I have. The two of you are my friends now. Almost like the family I don't have here."

"You came to Duon alone? How old are you?" Asked Eric, this warranted a nod from Eca. "That I did, I'm 17 years old. My parents were scared of the idea. I write to them all the time so they know I didn't get abducted."

"Yeah, I'm their only child. Have you seen our Tresion gestation cycle? Mom was pregnant for 27 months, said never again right after giving birth to me. She didn't like the idea of using a Breeder either." She explained to Mina. She smiled back at her too, definitely could see Mina like a big sister. Concept, as it could simply be called, seemed to be impatient with Mina, moving underneath her skin and hand, wanting to be fed again.

While Mina was gone, Eric decided to look around for a bit, some pieces of metal came to attention. "Hey Eca, think I can take of this stuff?" He asked her, she walked over to see what he was looking at, a small generator and a few other less notable things.

"Huh? Sure, those are just scraps people bring in, no plans for any of that stuff yet, so feel free to take what you want." She replied, after being thanked, she watched Eric collect what he wanted and store them away into the Inventory.

Mine wasn't gone for very long it seems, only having got her self a sandwich after all. Eca tilted her head, wondering what she was talking about when it came to breeders. "Pretty weird, what makes you say that, Mina?"
